I haven’t had lomo saltado in years, and I can say this is by far the best I have ever had. They were super nice and quick. I ordered pick up and it was hot fresh and amazing! Go there or order because it will blow your mind! I can’t wait to try other dishes next time I come home. I am from north Plainfield by moved to New England, when I come visit my family his is now a must have!

We came here twice, and both times, the service and food were excellent. We ordered Lomo Saltado both times just to see if it would be consistent, and it was! The sauce is so delightful. I remember when I came here for the first time, and right when I got my Lomo Saltado, I found out my uncle died so I didn’t have much of an appetite. However, I still ate it, but I knew I’d have to come back when I was in a better mood since I didn’t really get to enjoy the food as much even though it was so delicious! I have to add that it did give me some comfort because it felt like one of the most delicious home cooked meals. The second visit, we also had Salchipapa, Bisteck Encebollado, and Churrasco. The way they make fries is just perfect. The meat hardly seems to be overcooked or dry. The onions… They are the best onions I’ve ever had. My only regret is not having enough room for dessert and empanadas. I can eat here at least twice a month. Great flavor, nice décor, awesome service! It’s expensive compared to other Peruvian restaurants, but this place will make you comfortable about spending your money.

No me gusto porque llamen para take out y les dije que queria un pollo a la brasa con arroz blanco se lo repeti 3 veces, luego fui a a buscar mi orden y pense k todo estaba bien cuando llegue a casa no me dieron arroz blanco y me dieron un pollo a la braza muy malo estaba quemado y solo me dieron muy poca cantidad se papas. Cuando llame a la chica que tomo mi orden para explicarle que me dieron mal mi orden me dijo que no fue ella que tomo la orden en ningun momento me pidio disculpa solo dijo que no era culpa de ella y al final me cerro el telefono.

Amazing weekday lunch specials. $ 7.50 for soup, entrée, and a soda. The portion was very large and delicious.

Peruvian food is always great but this restaurant is a bit expensive. However, it’s still the cleanest restaurant in Plainfield. Right in front of the train station. For people who work in downtown Plainfield and don’t want to drive this is at the perfect location.

My wife is Peruvian so we are always looking for quality Peruvian food in our area (Edison). I was impressed with the cleanliness and the décor of the place, but I was disappointed with the rather small portions for the amount of money they are charging. The food was OK, not great, service was good. In all honesty I probably will not be back.

Overpriced, you can find better Peruvian food in other places and will not cost you an arm. This place used to great but now the prices have gone to the roof and the food has decrease its quality and quantity. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Roast chicken is now on the menu but it takes a while. And if nobody has mentioned it they are BYOB.
My favorite part was the chicharrone appetizer (calamari) with 3 sauces. The silky lime sauce is amazing! We will be back.

After receiving a menu in the mail and then checking this place out on Unilocal I decided to give it a try. I have to be honest, this place was not good… it was flipping AWESOME!!! It’s cute, clean, and has an upbeat warm and friendly vibe going on. The tables are well separated and you never feel crowded. TV sports and Spanish music videos. A patron or three sitting at their tables grooving to the beat. I read some reviews about language barriers and waitresses ignoring or being rude. I have no idea where these people ate but it couldn’t of been here. Every single person was warm, friendly and knowledgable. Yes the English was not perfect but it was very easy to communicate and I felt like I missed nothing. Our waitress Heidy made us feel so comfortable and truly went the extra mile to make our dining experience memorable. She was fantastic and I can’t say enough about her. Now the food… OMG!!! was it fabulous! Really, it was. We started with a beef kabob appetizer that was great, It was perfectly marinated and delicious. It came with a boiled sliced potato dish in an egg style sauce with Peruvian corn kernels the size of my thumb. I had the Ceviche de Camarones. I wanted more than just the shrimp so I asked what was the fish of the day and she told me it was fresh pollock. I asked if I could deviate from the menu and add the fish to my dish. Heidy’s response, «of course, no problem». And let me tell you it was some of the best ceviche I’ve ever eaten. The lime sauce was silky and fantastic. My brother-​in-​law had the pork chops, HUGE portion. Marinated and grilled to perfection. There here must of been three flat but big chops on his plate. Upon fun banter and request Heidy gave us small samples of both food and drink to try at no cost. Bottom line, I love this place. We went there last night and I’m already jonesing to go back tonight! This will from now on be in my regular restaurant circle. My wife is out of town until next week and when she gets home I’ll be on my way back to see Heidy pronto! Ordered a cebiche and was disappointed, lots of onion, little fish for 18 $, not only that other restaurants offer much lower price for the same dish bit loaded with fish! I don’t mind paying when food is good, but to me it was like paying 18 $ for ensalada criolla with a few pieces of fish, I not going back to that place

Great Peruvian food. We ordered bandeja paisa and chicharron. Generous portions esp the bandeja paisa (good for 2 people). The service was great and attentive. The restaurant had nice ambiance and was very clean. Def will come back to try diff dish!

Went here for the first time today. I came for some good ceviche, and that’s exactly what I got. I got the ceviche pescado that isn’t spicy. Which is basically your classic ceviche with lemon juice, red onions, salt and pepper. But according to my boyfriend, they also have the option to make you’re dish spicy or really spicy. From what I’m told, I would only advise getting the really spicy version if you’re a spicy food fiend.
Aside from the ceviche though, the interior is very nice. The waitresses were polite. Though it is true they do not speak very much English, but that’s to be expected considering the area you’re in. All in all, a good place and I’d love to return.

Food is very good. Décor new and modern. Service very good. Its about time we get a very nice place to eat in downtown plainfield.

So happy to discover a real Peruvian restaurant in my hood, the ceviche is just like in Lima. The place is clean and friendly, I’ll be coming back for sure!

I was fiendin for Peruvian food when I remember where I lived. There are a gang of South American restaurants in this area. So I found this gem. Inside of upgraded and so cute. I asked for roasted chicken and I was told that they didn’t have any. Seriously… a Peruvian place with no roasted chicken. I sulked and she suggested the fried chicken. So I jumped at the chance to try it. Man o man… this well marinated, flat top fried, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside piece of chicken I had was everything. Then to top is with the aji sauce… I was done. I only could eat a small amount so the rest went to be hubby when he came from work.
He now sees why I rave on this aji green sauce. So happy this is near my area.

They just remodeled the place, it looks amazing. The food taste great. We love coming to eat as a family dinner.

First let me start by saying we came for ceviche. The waitress says they do not have fish what so ever. Ok no problem we order arroz chuffa and another item. Then to our surprise we see our same waitress sit the people down next to us and they order ceviche (with no problem). Why is jt because I am not Spanish? With that said I will never return to the restaurant again no matter how good the food was just because of the ignorant waitress. Waited 20 minutes for a check and gave the tip that was deserved.

Love Love Love this place… Food is soo good especially ceviche de camaron (peruano) and theres tres leches is so amazingly good and different I love tres leches and before this one I only ate the one from el salvadoreño in elizabeth but this one beat it by far. i go here with my husband and three kids and the service is amazing everyone is so nice especially our waitress Gaby super nice and made us feel very welcome :)

Fantastic! My two guests and I loved everything we tried. I had a cold fish dish. My grind had some meat dish. We loved it all. Tres Leches for dessert. I’d love to go back.

Tasty Ceviche and fish dishes and yummy desserts. Portions fit for a giant. Friendly staff.

This place was recommended to me by a number of people as having great /​authentic Peruvian food. I finally went their and the food was excellent.
I will be back to this place.
