Best in town is the best for sure! Fresh jerk chicken and their oxtails are so ooo good, but you MUST try their jerk chicken salad BEST salad you’ll ever have.

Awesome… So far I have had the oxtails, and BBQ jerk chicken always good! They are also very friendly. Not a dine-in spot but definitely take home and and get comfortable because it’s a lot of food.

My first time here and I decided to order: stew chicken with macaroni, rice & peas and callaloo. Nothing on this plate had any flavor. I also didn’t really care for the customer service at the front. Anyway, I’m not going to tell people not to try it because there are plenty of other dishes on the menu and a lot of the pictures look very appetizing on their Facebook page.

Me and my coworker were working late and I saw this quaint well lit restaurant on the corner. I have been working in Plainfield for about 14 years and never noticed it before so I decided to run in and grab some jerk chicken. I was pleasantly surprised. I convinced my coworker who is Puerto Rican to have a try and she loved it. Yes it was her first time ever trying Jerk Chicken. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was perfect. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Best in Town is a great Family-Owned Trinidadian restaurant. Every dish is mouth watering! Known for their famous Jerk Chicken dishes, which include jerk chicken, peas and rice, mac and cheese and a salad; Jerk Salad (famous with the ladies); BBQ Jerk. Other great dishes are the Oxtail dinners, Roti with Curry Goat, Chicken or Shrimp; and their Corn Soup and Cow Heel Soup are slammin! They are also open on Sundays, serving up their Trini meals, which includes calloloo, red beans and rice with stew chicken.
These are just a few of the many great dishes I’ve tried, and will highly recommend you visiting. You can tell the food is prepared with a lot of love, and the place is clean, the staff are all warm and friendly… Typical Trini hospitality!
