Nicole helped me get ready on my wedding day. I contacted her several weeks before I arrived to California for a try out. I walked in thinking I wanted a half up do. However, after playing with my hair. I realized it was not what I wanted. I went after a more whimsical romantic curly side do. She went out of her way to help me on my wedding day. Because of Nicole I had the best hair style of my life on the most important day. I highly recommend Nicole. She is knowledgeable and helps ladies out with hair styles. I’m just a little sad I won’t be able to get back to this establishment because I don’t live here locally.

An absolute treasure. Bella Capelli Salon offers a warm, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere; walls appear draped in fabric, velvety hues of mustard and plumb, wood beamed ceilings, and original stone from this historical building that ties in perfectly with the almost Athenian artwork placed perfectly upon the walls. When I first arrived I was greeted with a soothing hug from their Massage therapist. Stylist, Eowyn Curtin, with radiant light and a contagious laugh, offered fresh figs and treated me to some delicious iced tea from the Cosmic Café located next door. She patiently went over hair color with me, as I was a challenge client who is graying and recovering from many poor choices of previous salons and home fails. We chose a beautiful brown, and somehow she managed to take my head of hair from black, grown out ends, box brown medium in the middle and graying roots, to an espresso to die for. This stylist, Eowyn, is clearly educated and up to date on her products. I came out of the salon feeling a good 5 years younger, and looking it too! I am keeping this stylist and plan on going back for a cut and some polishing. This is the first time that I am perfectly pleased with the color of my hair, and find it worth it to keep coming back. One other important fact-​I have been to many upscale salons and, sadly, have always felt like they were cold, uninviting, and even snooty most of the times. Eowyn and the Bella Capelli staff made me feel, that for the first time in a high end salon, I could sit back and actually relax and be pampered. Thank you ladies for making me feel and look so fabulous!

I’d love to leave a proper review of their services, but when I phoned for an appointment four days ago I received an answering machine, left a message and never got a call back. I guess their business is good enough they don’t need new clients.

Love love love this salon, Eowyn gave me a wonderful cut, blow out and style. It’s exactly what I asked for. Love the atmosphere of the shop. Clean, friendly and great stylists. Next time a little lavender color on the tips. Haven’t seen Tonya the esthetician yet but I did talk to her and she was sooooo nice. Wish I could give Eowyn more then 5 stars. My new best friends :)

Really cute salon downtown Placerville! Got a great haircut last time! This time, some sunny highlights for springtime!

Just got my hair done today! It was badly needed What a pleasant experience! Eowyn is the best! She has the most positive personality. This hair stylist has a natural talent and really can find the best style that works. She goes above and beyond. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend her to my friends and family. Aveda is more of a natural line, which may be more pricey. Funny, how you pay less for chemicals? I really recommend these great products and services. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Absolutely the WORST phone service I’ve ever had. I tried to purchase a gift certificate for a family member, and after 5 phone calls, I finally was called back by an employee who first said bad things about the owner, then said they have no gift certificates and she’d like to give me some other phone number so I could start the process all over again with the esthetician. For an Aveda Concept Salon, this was unbelievably ridiculous and I got the feeling she just didn’t want to help me. Also, good luck making an appointment, as they NEVER answer their phone.

My daughter and I both received haircuts from Nicole O. She is awesome. I went from long hair to shoulder length and I love it! Also, I called in the morning and got the two appointments the same day. Which is nice because I am a busy girl. Go see Nicole, you will be happy with the results!

For $ 60 you’d think you’d get a blow dry with your hair cut, but no its $ 10 extra. The fumes are so strong in this place it made my eyes water the whole time-​this advertises itself to be an upscale salon, this shouldn’t be. In addition the haircut was not an expert cut. It was not what I asked for, I can’t wait till it grows out and I won’t be back. The place was next to empty on a Friday afrernoon — with good reason. The prices are outrageous and there were only 2 hairdressers on duty, one of them being the owner.

I love the atmosphere and the aveda tea it’s so soothing. The ambiance is nice too, its a cozy salon with style. The head, neck and scalp massage is awesome. All the stylists I’ve met seem friendly and welcoming. Which is nice this is not the first Aveda concept salon I’ve been to. I did go to another local salon and never felt this comfortable there.
I do have a personal favorite and she is the only one I have been going to for about a year now. I highly recommend Nicole Ozenne. She is amazing and is a great listener which I personally think is very important when you are trying a new cut or color. I had super long hair for a decade and let her cut my hair to just below my chin. She did a beautiful job. She does hair with such precision, I just can’t say enough. So if you are going to see a stylist my personal fave is Nicole Ozenne!

I thought I already posted about how much I love Emily Zelinsky at Bella Capelli, but I guess not. She does great color and always has great ideas about what to do when I need an update. I love her!

I moved to Placerville 12 years ago and have been driving all the way to Rocklin to get my hair done this whole time. You know how it is ladies… you find a stylist that does it right, and you never want to let go. A couple of years ago, I thought I would give a salon in Placerville a try and it was horrible. I’ve been scared ever since to try again.
But then someone I trust recommended Bella Capelli Salon. I checked out Unilocal first to see what other people were saying just to make sure. They had a great rating, so I made my appointment with Emily.
What a GREAT experience. The girls in the salon were so friendly from the moment I walked in. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
Emily, I hope you read this because I LOVE LOVE LOVE my cut and color!!! You did such a fantastic job! THANK YOU!
Not only did I get a great cut/​color, but I had a lot of fun and some really great laughs with Emily. It was like hanging out with old friends and getting pampered at the same time.
I’ve found my new stylist/​salon. Bye bye Rocklin!

I feel so lucky to have found Emily at Bella Capelli today! I felt at ease the moment I arrived at this cute salon in a historic builing on Main Street. She really takes the time to evaluate your hair and make suggestions too. She started off with a bit of aroma therapy, which I loved. Then a wonderful surprise of a neck and head massage! A relaxing shampoo, a perfectionist cut and I left a very happy camper!

Since my wife is a stylist at Bella Capelli, you might decide to take my comments with a grain of salt.
With that in mind, here are a few things I love about Bella Capelli:
— the shoulder, neck and scalp massage. This isn’t just a cut; it’s a full treatment. I typically walk out feeling way more relaxed after an appointment.
— the atmosphere. Since the salon is located inside one of the most historic gold rush era buildings in the area (original stone work & architecture), it has an old-​world charm you don’t find in any of the other salons in town.
— The Cozmic Café is located in the same building, so it’s very convenient to grab a smoothie or coffee before, during or after an appointment.
— My wife, Emily. (Like I said: she works here, so I figure I better include her in this list!)

Sebastian is no longer at Bella Capelli but I have gone to Tonya several times for a massage, and she is officially amazing. She uses oil so you’ll feel like a greased pig afterward, but a happy greased pig, which is what counts. I’ve gotten deep-​tissue massages from her but I’ve heard her aromatherapy massage is great too.
Highly highly recommended.
Also saw an old friend in Sac recently and commented that her hair looked fab – she said Emily at Bella Capelli in P’ville did it so another shout out to Emily!

Emily from Bella Capelli just gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ve had so many bad experiences with haircuts that I actually went into the salon pretty much expecting to come out not liking my hair, or coming out with the same cookie cutter haircut that hair stylists like to give middle aged women like me. Instead I came out with a really beautiful haircut that suits me, feels like me and actually makes me look younger. She knew exactly what to do to make me look better. The head and shoulder massage that she started with was wonderful as well. All of that and an unpretentious personality… I am very, very pleased.

I don’t trust many people with my hair. I’ve gone to Amy a few times now and she is a PERFECTIONIST. She listens to everything you say, and will take the extra time to make sure your hair is exactly like you want.
Unfortunately, I travel for work, and sometimes I have to get my hair done on the road because I can’t wait the two weeks or so to come back here — at least this is an Aveda salon so they can call Bella Capelli for my color formula… but I still dread straying.
Relaxing atmosphere, centrally located, everyone who works there is super friendly… highly recommend!

I love this place. Charming, cozy, comfortable. Emily is also the one to have cut my hair, and after 7 years of doing it myself, I was a little nervous. She *listened* to what I wanted and voila! Wonderful haircut.
Amy has owned the salon for some time and she is a whole lot of fun as well. Gladly, I’d let either one of them near my hair.
Bella Capelli is a great mix of city style and skill, but with all the charm and comfort we love of Placerville!

Great Salon in beautiful downtown Placerville. Nice little brick building with a warm interior that really puts you at ease. I see Emily, who is a very talented, very friendly lady who really knows her hair. I’m pretty picky about stylists and she never lets me down.
