Brought my team here for a business lunch(12 people) and it was very cold in the restaurant; uncomfortably cold at 66 degrees at 12:15PM. We asked the hostess if she could turn up the heat and she moved the thermostat up to 67. The service was very basic/average certainly acceptable. Food was good/solid with no complaints at all. It’s pub food and delivered as expected. I can only get to 2 stars here guys. The temperature 66 degrees made for an unpleasant experience; and the lack of interest in our comfort was telling.

I took two teenage grandsons to the Pittsford Pub for a Wednesday lunch. Both boys had visited the restaurant several times recently with their parents. They both mentioned that the service had been very slow, especially their last visit when they waited 40 minutes before a server came to their table on a busy dinner time. They enjoyed their dinner but the long wait with no real apology turned them off about the Pub. It took more time than I liked for our server to make her first stop at our table to take our drink orders. Our server was very friendly and spoke personally to all three of us. The boys ordered root beer that came in bottles at $ 2.75 ea. When our server arrived, she said she was delayed by a group party in the back that required individual checks. Our server noticed I was wearing a USMC hat and stated that my my lunch would be discounted due to it being Veterans Day. As a Vet from the 1950’s, I genuinely appreciated the gesture. It only has been in the last 5 or 10 years that I have personally felt the recognition of all our fine military folks, both Active or past service in the media and in many walks of life. «Thumbs up» for the Pittsford Pub not forgetting the Military patrons. Anyhow, after a long wait for lunch, our server did stop by once or twice to apologize for our long wait to get our sandwiches. Once served, there were no complaints about the food but we felt hurried when we ate because it took almost took 1 ½ hr. to wrap up our lunch and we needed to be somewhere at 2:00pm. The delays definitely took away from our overall enjoyment at the Pub. Two teenage boys have little patience when they come in very hungry. I felt the quality of our sandwiches were good and I felt our server when out of her way to interact with all of us individually. I doubted our server was responsible for any of the delays. It appeared she was not the only server frustrated with kitchen delays. However, based on the fact that my two teenage guests said that this was their 3rd experience with very slow service, 3 Stars might be a stretch. I guess I could sum up my observations by saying that the management of the restaurant is NOT a well oiled machine. Our bill with tip was over $ 50.

I’ve already tried a few items from the new menu & may I say… yum. Tuna tacos, chicken empanadas and a little something called«the mac & cheese burger». I can’t wait to try every item on the new menu.

6:30 reservation, ordered food at 7:00, it’s 7:54 now… still no food. no sympathy from the manager. if a restaurant is at full capacity, it should NOT affect the wait time. I don’t care what the food tastes like, I am never coming back.

If I had the option, i’d give this place no stars. Worst experience ever, and food was nothing special. We ordered a bunch of apps and 2 entrees and nothing really caught my attention. On top of it all, it was the worst service. I’m a server, so I always give places the benefit of the doubt. But this place was just horrible. Starting from when we were greeted at the door. It was an awkward experience. It was my sisters, my nephews and I(we all worked in restaurants before) so the host asked if we needed a high chair. We replied«please, if one is available». So she took us to the 6 seater booths that were slightly elevated off the ground. We all slid in, and were waiting for the menu, but instead she stood and stared at us for 5 mins. We were so confused why. She finally handed the menus to us and asked again if we needed a high chair. So again we said yes please. She stared for a few more minutes then left. Shorter after, another employee came over to tell us that they couldn’t put the hair chair there bc it’s too short(since the booth was elevated on a platform), which we had no problem with.(But why couldn’t the host tell us that? And why didn’t she put us in a table that could have high chairs since she asked when she greeted us? Also there were plenty of tables available that were not on a platform). Then it gets worse, our server, Suzy, was so rude. I don’t know if she was mad that we were young or mad because we are not Caucasian, but she was definitely annoyed. All I asked was if she had a cocktail list. She said no rudely and said that I can have any drink I want but that they have a beer list. Her attitude turned me off so I stuck with water. We ordered our food then my sister asked, «which beers do you have that’s an octoberfest». She slammed a piece of paper down at the table then walked behind the booth. We heard her talking about us to her coworker and laughing about what she just did with the beer list. From here on we didn’t see her again until the food came. In between then, my nephew knocked over a water(probably bc he wasn’t in a high chair) but we cleaned it up ourselves and was not offered another water. We also didn’t have enough silverware but luckily ordered apps so I just used my hands. Despite the experience, we left her $ 20 on $ 95, because I never tip less than 20%, but she would’ve gotten way more if she was not so rude.

This was my first time trying the Pittsford pub since the re-opening. My sisters and I went and brought my kids(age 1 and 3). The atmosphere was very nice. We were greeted by a host and she sat us at a booth and continued to stand awkwardly in front of the booth for a whole 2 minutes before asking if we needed a high chair. We told her«yes». A few minutes later a server comes by and tells up they can’t put a high chair at the booth. No problem my kids sat in the booth. I don’t know why she couldn’t just say that in the first place. Anyways our servers comes to greet us with an unsatisfied look on her face.(probably was mad that there were children at her table) She was an older lady with blonde hair. I don’t remember her name. We asked if they had a cocktail menu. She proceeded to roll her eyes at us and told her that they only had a beer menu and slammed the menu down on the table. I kid you not. I have never had a server so rude. We placed our order and minded our own business. Never asked for refills or extra napkins because we didn’t want to put our server in a worse mood. When it came time to pay the bill, she would not even let up explain to her that we had a gift card and wanted to put the rest on the card. Her words«ok just give it to me. Give it to me. I’ll figure it out.» Still left her a 20% tip along with a note that she needed to be friendlier. Anyways on to the food. We ordered the wings which were decent. Quesadillas were dry. Calamari was ok not the best. And a seafood Alfredo with had imitation crab meat in it. Yuck! Honestly if you are looking for good pub food I would recommend the distillery. The food at the pub was lacking in flavor. There was nothing there that I loved so much that I just had to come back and have. The service was just the topping on the cake. Just AWFUL!

My wife and I were staying the night in Pittsford and this pub was recommended by the hotel staff. I saw some negative reviews so was a little apprehensive going in. We were very pleased. Although clearly a local hangout we had great service at the bar. They have a good beer list and nice pub menu. Our food came quickly and was hot and fresh. I would recommend this place.

My 2nd time here since the new owner took over. I came here with the family. Seating was fast drink selection was decent. Food was awful for what I expected. I had the fish with side of coleslaw. Fish was good slaw had turned. Extremely bad. My wife had fajitas and the tortilla shells were rock hard. My son had the hamburger plate with the mac salad with also had turned sour. Terrible experience for the second time, which stinks because I really used to like this place. Atmosphere good. Service good food awful.

I waited until trying to restaurant twice before posting a review after they reopened to give it a fair chance, that turned out to be two sub par dinners. It’s unfortunate to see how all of the renovations turned out. What once had a warm, welcoming Pub feel has devolved into a cold, run of the mill bar. Went there with the same couple both times, and both times ended with the same result, a dissatisfying night out. They must be going for the less is more strategy, as the side of fries with my burger was literally less than 10 of them. The burger itself was to be medium rare and it was well cooked through, almost burnt. Everyone else’s meals were similarly butchered and only one of the foursome actually enjoyed what they ordered. To make matters worse when the bill came out server charged us for the more expensive wine(which they said they were out of and we did not receive). Our server was also inattentive and forgetful, even without their being that many customers. Unfortunately would not recommend anymore, the Pittsford Pub has lost its charm, and more importantly, it’s quality.

Meh we started with the nachos, there was decidedly a lack of(variety and amount) toppings compared to other local options that layer nacho/topping/nacho/topping. We sampled a tomato soup special which was chuck full of seeds and skins. For sandwiches the monte viso and cornberry sounded interesting, they were pretty greasy. I had not been here for quite awhile, I hear it’s now managed by a new owner. The inside is more open and updated.

In order for a good dining experience here timing is key. At nights the bar gets incredibly loud and crowds the whole dining section. With their revamping of the restaurants they didn’t replace the windows. So if you’re sitting by a window chances are you’ll be freezing. I only go weekdays during the day to get the best service. The food is phenomenal and big portions. They have really improved on the menu and selection of food. One odd thing is that they do not have guacamole but they do serve quesadillas.

Eh… probably still working thru the re-opening kinks. Not the same Pittsford Pub I remember. Should have read the reviews on here before heading there on Sunday. There were 4 of us, two couples, who decided to bike ride from village of Fairport to village of Pittsford and have dinner and some drinks. Someone told me this recently reopened so we were excited to try it out! First concern — we rode our bikes to the restaurant and parked them out front. When we walked in for a table there were two women standing by the bar staring at us and the hostess appeared confused. They looked us up and down and said nothing. No friendly, warm, inviting welcome. After a moment, we realized these women were managers there… very disappointing that’s how they would treat patrons! We were«well-dressed» in exercise outfits(as well-dressed as you can be in that) and not sweaty at all so there should have been NO need for the looks we were given. We asked to sit outside and the table we sat at for four people could barely hold 8 glasses(a water and beer for each of us) and the pickle chips. We actually put our water glasses on the ground when the meals came out so there was enough room for all plates and beers. LOL! What I’m really saying is they need larger tables! Pittsford Pub… you should know better! You get crowds here! You get groups here! Make sure you’re prepared. 2 salads were ordered and 2 wraps. They were all OK. Just OK. Nothing to try again. The pickle chips were yummy but not any different than other restaurants I’ve had them at. After the disapproving looks when we walked in, the small tables outside and a $ 100 bill, we left. Could have sat there for another drink or two but not that day. I’ll go back and give it another try! I used to have no complaints and I’m sure they can get to that point again. Let’s hope they read their reviews.

This was a great place to sit on the patio and have a few drinks on a nice day. Very friendly staff. Was also nice they had tvs outside so we could watch the sports going on. We ordered the fried pickles and they were delicious. We also got the clam and lobster bisque to start which was great. And for the main meal we split the bbq chicken sandwich, North Carolina style and it was amazing! Mac salad was a little garlicky for my liking, but wasn’t dry or bad. Decent beer list, a lot to choose from. Only negative, should have a designated area for smokers!

Trying the newly updated version for the first time. Had the Cornberry sandwich with mac salad. I wouldn’t have thought to add roasted red pepper to a corned beef sandwich but it works. The mac salad is above average, good flavor, not dripping in mayo. My fiancé had the Monte Viso Burger with crispy prosciutto and mushrooms. It was cooked to his liking. I tasted it and found the Dijon mustard a bit strong. The fries were appropriately crispy. The 24 taps of craft were dominated by Bell’s(not a fan) and Founders, both MI breweries. I would have preferred more variety. Would we return? Yes. Will it replace our regular favorite? Unlikely.

After such a long wait… Ugh. Major letdown. Burgers are okay, not so with other sandwiches. Dry pork for the Cuban, salty beef for the Weck. Plus for beer selection but ambience is tres noisy. I miss the old Pub!!!

Was anxiously anticipating this re-opening and took my wife and son there this week. Wednesday… not a typical busy night of the week. Seated immediately. Waters promptly. Drink order in but for some reason a delay as we sat right off the bar at a high top, not good! Meals: Bison Burger, Ace Steak & Cheese, & some other avocado burger. The app we got was the calamari… Tasted like soggy onion rings and looked worse. They garnished the bloody plate with wilted Basil leaf(a little to long under the lamp) the app took a long time to get to the table as did the main meal. One positive is the beer some better than average choices little knowledge though Don’t get the cheesesteak in fact the one they make at Subway is better the roll is nasty and too«bready» was hoping for something better as there are great bakeries in Rochester. Hint… LEO’s or Village Bakery in Pittsford. Same goes for the burgers half the meal is bread get some good BREAD. Improve the ingredients and presentation. Have adequate and trained waitstaff with beer knowledge and timely delivery of orders so they don’t wilt under the heat lamps. As this is a relatively new opening the manager should be walking the floor and asking questions as to any and all of these key factors. To spend all that money and have half assed execution… Helloooo! Maybe they can iron out the wrinkles. I will give them a month and try again if no improvement there are plenty of other places to either spend less for the same quality or more and get much better.

It… hurts me. to give this place 2 stars. But per my experience after the re-opening, it must be done. *deep breath* The Pittsford Pub — we were supposed to be chums, buddies, BESTFRIENDSFOREVER. I really wanted to make this place into my watering hole. You crapped on my heart, and then didn’t even offer to comp any of my meal. We ventured out Saturday afternoon, 1:00PM, nearing the end of their lunchtime rush. It was myself and my boyfriend, another couple, and their 1 ½ year old baby. We were seated more or less immediately. Nice! Right? So we thought. We didn’t see our server for about 10 minutes, we asked for waters and a beer menu. We received 2 waters for the 4 adults. Maybe we were meant to share? Trying to save the planet by conserving water? Not sure! But we shrugged it off and asked for another couple waters. Our waitress didn’t really have any knowledge of the beers that were on tap; maybe it’s because they’ve only been open 3 days? We gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried to explain which beers we wanted. We put our food orders in, which were: 10 wings, a burger cooked to medium, a pulled pork sandwich, a sausage sandwich, and a grilled cheese for the kiddo. Everything seemed great, orders in, we were SUPERHUNGRY. The place was no longer busy(save for a small private party in the back) and we waited for our food for an hour and 10 minutes. All the adults at the table were starting to get fussy until at 2:30PM, the grilled cheese was ready! OMG! FOOD. We all stared jealously at the baby while he ate a sandwich. Never thought I’d be so envious of an 18 month old. Our waitress warned us that the grilled cheese was roughly the same temperature as the surface of the sun as it had«just come off the grill top». It was very cold, actually. We waited another 30 minutes for the rest of our food to come out. When it finally did, I finished my burger in about 10 minutes(so no pictures, sorry!) It was somehow cooked to medium on one half, and well done on the other. Genuinely not sure how that happened. My boyfriend’s wings were super cold and he said they tasted off :-( The sandwiches looked good, but were nothing to write home about, and they weren’t hot. The grilled cheese looked magnificent, hopefully it was. I think what happened was that our food was forgotten and got cold sitting out. The most frustrating part about this experience was that the floor manager seemed to be milling about the whole time we were waiting for our food(recap: a little under 2 hours) and neither he nor our waitress apologized for the wait, or offered any kind of anything. Not the best customer care. The atmosphere is no longer pub-like. This is now a sportsbar, no two ways around it. There are quite a few more TVs now, and the tables are all new looking. The booths are very tight though. The menu is also better organized, but it’s a little pricey. The positives are: There’s lots of parking in the rear of the building, so you probably won’t have to fight over a spot. They have a very decent selection of craft brews now; The Kind(3HB), Aprihop(dogfish), Rohrbach’s, etc. I understand they just opened and might need to iron out some kinks, but I was disappointed with the lack of customer care and just overall difficult experience that came to a little over $ 100. I’m going to try again and hopefully be able to update my review!

We had lunch here after our first 2 choices for lunch were closed. Not that that’s a bad thing though. We ate in the bar so we could watch football. 4 large TVs. The interior was warm and den-like. Service was attentive. The menus were large laminated paper that have seen better days. We were told to ignore the beer list and given a page with the days selections. I love they try to change their beer selection(they said daily, but I don’t know). It was a great beer selection though. Several we’ve never heard of too. I had the steakhouse burger and fries. I ordered it well(I know, that’s a sin). It actually came out medium well which is how I like it but don’t order that way since I don’t trust burgers to be cooked the way I want it. I’m glad I didn’t order it medium or medium well. My husband had the special which was broiled haddock fish tacos and onion rings. Came with remoulade, salsa, and sour cream. I didn’t try the tacos but the onion rings were good. Crunchy on the outside, tender but not stringy on the inside. Prices were high for bar food but considering the location it’s not surprising. And the quality is definitely a step above standard bar food.
