2 and a half of these stars are for the bee sting wings. That sauce must have been sent down from the heavens, I have yet to find a better wing sauce anywhere. Their catatonic sauce is also delicious if you are in the mood for a more classic buffalo style sauce. Don’t let the name fool you, they are not uncomfortably hot by any means. I would say the hotness is on par with the regular hot wings, but the sauce is much more substantial and flavorful. Personally, I do feel that Bee Sting wings are the best wings you can find in Rochester, not only because the sauce is on point, but they a CONSISTENT. Consistency is so hard to fund at any restaurant. Every order of wings you get are just as good as the one’s you ordered last time, I have never experienced a «bad day» when it comes to Jeremiah’s wings. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the rest of the food. The rest of the menu is average at best, and I believe they try to do too much. The menu keeps getting larger and larger, and the dishes get more and more complex. Burgers are just OK. I do love their curly fries. I have tried mostly everything on their menu while living down the street for 6 years, and although nothing has been awful, I always leave feeling underwhelmed and wanting more(unless I get the wings, that is). They do have a good selection of beer on tap and a nice bar scene. If you want to come watch football on a Sunday, however, get there EARLY if you want a table. It gets uncomfortably crowded in there during football season. All in all, if you have a craving for(bee sting) wings, go to Jeremiah’s. If you want something else, you are probably better off elsewhere.

Pros: prices Cons: loud(almost deafening), slow service Popped in here last night with some buddies and our girlfriends. Waited at the bar for a bit before we got served. Whatever, it was somewhat busy, not a big deal. Grab a booth to sit and chat… Wait a bit then alert the hostess. Nice girl, tells us to sit tight and another 10 mins pass… Start grabbing beers from the bar then our waitress arrives. Honestly, sweet as they come but we were a tad grumpy having been waiting that long. It’s a pleasurable enough dive bar but anything outside of drinks seems like it’d be a Herculean task. Def room for improvement but would pop back in when I’m back in to see friends. Meh all around.

Went on Tuesday for trivia but coulnd’t hear the questions very well(it was so crowded) so we left early(a first for us!). Loved the bbq wings. Thought the new orleans were a bit weird but everyone else seemed to enjoy them. THought the beesting was too spicy. Loved the variety as well as the crunch. My boyfriend and I both got beers and enjoyed them. He ordered a burger and enjoyed it. My philly cheesecake was all right. Think I will go back for the wings. The atmosphere was so-so.

There is plenty of seating and it isn’t too loud, which is nice. They also have a great selection of draft beers and a pretty big menu. Definitely recommend the nawlin’s sauce wings!

I would of loved to have given them 4 stars however service was slow on the restaurant side. Only had 1 beer as the waitress only came back 30 min after serving our food. Wings however were amazing with the curly fries. Had the nawlins and bee sting chicken wings and both great.

We stopped by this place because it’s right down the street from where some of my friends live, this place is basically their local. When we went in, it was P A C K E D. Like, a 45 minute wait. I don’t really like to wait that long for a place, but hey, a 5 minute walk means we just went back to the house until it was time. So, we finally were ushered to our booth, it was a group of 4 adults and one very high energy kid. The place was deafeningly loud, I later learned that they had several junior hockey teams in tonight, so that was part of it. We ordered a couple of baskets of wings, in Hot and Catatonic flavor. So, Jeremiah’s says they’ve been voted the best wings in Rochester. That’s fair. I will have to say though, that I’ve lived in Buffalo for long enough now that I’ve become a tiny bit pickier than the average shmoe. I had zero problems with their sauces, which I thought were great. My issue was really with the wing cooking. I’ve become used to crispy wings, so these were kind of a disappointment. For main, I had a French Dip, which was quite good, nice and beefy and toasty. Lee had beef tips, which looked pretty disappointing, but he said that they tasted good. Service was a bit middling. The server seemed a little annoyed that we didn’t immediately know what we wanted to eat, so she left us for a while. The one thing that this place does well is their beer selection. They have a nice variety of local brews and big brews, so I suspect that this is a great place to go for beers, and I’d definitely go back for that.

The original location is best in my mind. I like the cozy feel of this place versus the new barn-like location in Penfield. We had out-of-town visitors who wanted wings so we knew this was the spot to take them to in Rochester. It was early on a Friday evening so we were pleased to be able to get a table in the back room. Our server was on top of things which made for a good visit. We ordered a wide variety of wings and all were very good. In addition the lobster corn chowder was a very tasty, as usual. Still the go-to wing king of Rochester.

Went here on a sunday evening. The bar area was packed but luckily the dining area was quieter. The server seemed distracted but otherwise pretty nice. I had the BBQ tavern and bee sting flavored wings. They were pretty good and crispy. The bee sting sauce was quite flavorful! For entrée I had the smokehouse burger. I asked for it to be cut in half, the restaurant failed to accomodate my request. The buns were very soggy and the whole meal became a mess, but I could stand to be messy for a good burger… unfortunately, this was NOT a good burger. Although cooked to my liking(medium rare), it had zero flavor. The mayo it came with was also flavorless. The steak fries were just… potato sticks… not crispy or a slight bit of salt that I could taste. I’d go back for the wings but not very excited about their actual meals.

I have now tried some more of the wing sauce flavors: they were fantastic! The flavors were Nawlins’ Blues, Bee Sting, Tavern BBQ, and Hawaiian(I think they were called that). I was very happy with all these choices, but the Bee Sting had to be my favorite. They were generally smooth with a slight kick, perfect balance. My lips tingled a bit because I’m a gross disgusting whale and my got sauce all over. The Nawlins’ Blues were also delicious! These wings were creamy and buttery, not exactly sure why they’re referencing NOLA. Maybe I’m uncultured. Be sure to lather as much sauce on this one as possible. Your arteries will hate you for it, but you deserve to treat yourself.(Yes, I realize I have referenced clogged arteries in both my reviews. I’ll work on my descriptions in the future.) Tavern BBQ were good. Best BBQ wings I have had? Hard to say. But still, they’re worth trying. The Hawaiian were a surprise treat. These are pineapple-teriyaki flavored, and I guess you could argue that sounds like a good combo. Teriyaki wings are great, and the pineapple added a unique twist to the flavor.

I visited here with my friend from Brazil who described it as, «Exactly the type of bar you see in American movies». I have to agree with her on this one. :) Jeremiah’s is pretty much what I’d expect out of a neighborhood sports bar. Loud and crowded(bar side), though it tones down quite a bit if you go to the restaurant side. Wouldn’t call the wings the best in Rochester — the bee sting(yum!) and the buffalo were good, but not nearly crispy enough. I also tried their garbage plate(gotta be a true Rochesterian, peeps) and their macaroni and cheese. Both were decent but nothing to write home about. Burger was a bit too rare for my tastes… Not really comfortable with the idea of anything but a cooked-through garbage plate burger to be honest. Probably won’t be back soon(unless my March Madness bracket works out well during the finals… in which case, bring it on!).

I love it here. Attended a geeks who drink event and had the best time! It was so crowded but I got there before the event and luckily a group of people were leaving and let us have their table! Ordered a few appetizers and they were very good. Bartenders were friendly. Awesome wings, too.

I’m a big wing person so jeremiahs tavern became part of my vocab very early on in my upbringing in the Roc(voted multiple years in a row for having the best wings). Unfortunately I don’t think it deserves this hyped up title and really it’s only impressiveness is in its loyal clientele who come to hang out and watch games at the bar. The wings are sub par and so is the rest of the menu which is filled with sandwiches and other bar foods. I usually order the 10 wing basket with a side of Mac salad(also not very good). I’ve had their Reuben before and was not impressed. I usually just leave with a stomach ache and slight buzz. Also, I can only speak to my most recent visit here(about 2 months ago) in terms of service, but it was a little disturbing. Our waitress was not on top of getting us our food or bill and seemed like she was sick or something else sus…

This is my second visit and honestly I have been waiting for this for some time. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The beer selection here is excellent. Today I sampled the clam chowder. It was a heart blend of ingredients packed with clams and potatoes. The wings are incredible and I like mine hot. They are a good size and nice and crisp. The sauce is perfectly blended and spicy. Just so darn tasty. The never let you down.

My friends and I came here after a night of sipping and flapping our mouths. Initially I was not so impressed with the look of the place. However, the waitress was very nice and attentive. Courteous staff and a clean environment can go a long way with me. I ordered the BBQ Cheddar Chicken and fries. I’m not sure what kind of BBQ sauce they use but it is delicious. So much so that I ordered a side of the sauce to dip my fries in. My friends and I took our time eating and chatting and hadn’t noticed that the kitchen closed while we sat chatting and chewing. We were not rushed to finish our food and didn’t have people standing around watching and waiting for us to leave so they could close and go home for the night. It was a very pleasant experience and we all enjoyed our food very much. I’d say this is a place I will count as a place I can go and be satisfied with both my meal and the environment.

The best wings in Rochester hands down. The parking is incredibly difficult, I sometimes end up parking on a far away side street. The food is delicious bar food.(my favorite is the quesadias)

QUIZZONIGHTREVIEW I would return for Tuesday night quizzo at Jeremiah’s, the place filled up and the crowd was fun(20 teams this week!), and the bartenders, waiters, and kitchen kept up with the large crowd without a problem. Their quizzo is 8 rounds, and they have bonus questions where you can win a free beer! Otherwise the prize is $ 25 bar tab for first place and $ 15 for second. Lots of fun! The crowd was kind of eh, I probably wouldn’t go to interact with any of them but hanging out with my own friends, yes. Drinks are reasonably priced and they usually have some kind of special, and there is lots of seating which is a big deal for me! Also you can’t forget about their bee sting wings, I’m a HUGE fan. Voted best wings in Rochester for the past 12 years! The bartender and bar backs are very personable, nice, and a lot of fun too. And there are plenty of TVs to catch the sports games while you’re there! I would return on a Tuesday night if I’m looking for something to do!
