I know I’m just jumping on a bandwagon here, but… YES. Great slightly old school atmosphere, awesome coffee, fantastic service… and the food. I had the grilled polenta, covered in bacon and cheese, topped with spinach, chipotle, homemade salsa and avocado. Breakfast perfection. Also tried the 12 grain pancakes with berries – delicious and filling but not too dense. You’d never go in if you just walked by – thanks, Unilocal! Going back later in the week to try those homefries!

Once again, I have to say: THANKYOU, Unilocal! We NEVER would have found Café Reva had it not been for Unilocal and the amazing reviews. Given the high rating, we had to try it. We got there around 8:45 on a Sunday morning and had no wait. We had to wait about 1 minute for them to clean a table that had just opened up. The ambiance is casual/divey, but comforting and out waitress was enthusiastic, funny and helpful. We started with a large Frogurt(low-fat vanilla yogurt, homemade granola & fresh seasonal fruit) which was BEAUTIFUL and very delish. And filling! I almost did not need an entrée. But, of course I got one. In an effort to be somewhat healthy, I ordered the Hottie(grilled wrap-andouille sausage, hot cherry peppers, cheddar cheese, eggs, sweet peppers & onions, avocado & sour cream). I asked them to go light on the jalapenos and, I REALLY appreciate that all the sausage/meats are nitrate/nitrite-free! Bonus star! This was good(the home fries were fantastic), but just didn’t sit well in my stomach. I could only eat about half of it. I don’t blame Café Reva — I blame my pregnant belly, which is being very temperamental right now. I also blame my husband’s breakfast, which came first and which I tried. It was so unique and so amazing. What was it, you ask? The Breakfast Club(a club sandwich with three slices of french toast, with bacon, egg and cheese on one layer and sausage and ham on another). While you might think this is meat overload, it’s not. It is salty yet sweet and amazing. I had 2 bites and had to stop, otherwise I would have eaten the entire thing. I so wish I’d gotten this! Overall, if Café Reva was closer(or I lived closer), I’d definitely go back. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and you know it’s all made fresh to-order.

What a charming spot! Cute atmosphere, great food. Don’t be put off by the less than stellar exterior. The food shows real attention to detail. We had a wonderful lunch while visiting the area, and would definitely go again.

Hello, you glorious little gem where no one can park because everyone with any sense knows what a gem you are. The service was great. She was sarcastic(in a sweet way), which gets MAJOR points from me. She kept up with our jokes, she was timely, and she had great suggestions. Other diners? Awesome. It was like eating at Cheers. Everyone had something to say about something, and it was great for people watching in «rural» western Mass. My basted eggs, wheat toast, and potatoes were AMAZING and actually cooked properly! The omelet was delish! I can’t wait to be a true local so I can give them all my hard-earned«big city» cash. Love it.

When we found the place in Pittsfield. It doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, we walked in the door and found a lively place full of people. The people were so friendly and inviting. The interior is comfortable and pleasant. We were very impressed with their creative menu. Their omelette selection is outstanding. I had the Get Your Goat Omelette which has Monterey chevre, onions, bacon, spinach, tomatoes, artichokes & pesto. It was phenomenal. My wife had the Brie Omelette that also mushrooms and tomatoes. Warning: bring cash because they don’t take credit cards.

Excellent little spot for breakfast! The huevos rancheros were delicious as well as the pancakes, french toast, and the vegetarian sandwich. All portions are huge so you definitely don’t need to order very much! There were 4 adults and 1 child and with the massive amount of food we ordered it was still only $ 50 at the end. If I am ever in the area again I would absolutely stop by! It’s small, but worth the wait. Although one thing I don’t understand — why are there two doors? We waited at the front door to be seated but once we were inside there was also a back door that people were waiting at. Is there a better door to go? Is one busier than the other? Is that the secret VIP door? If anyone knows the answer I would love to find out! But bottom line — the food here is amazing!

Looks can be deceiving, so we were tentative when we approached Café Reva. It’s neighbors are a bit run down, but once we were inside, all worries faded away because the smells were great. We took 5 seats at the counter, picked from a just-varied-enough menu and enjoyed the freshly ground coffee. The kids had the breakfast club — a club sandwich made from three slices of french toast with bacon, egg and cheese on one layer and sausage and ham on another. They ate the flowers off the plate. I had the meat lovers omelette which had big chunks of ham, sausage and bacon. It was a pretty good omelette. Service was great; the place had a line to get in by the time we left. It’s a gem in an area not really full of them.(Or we haven’t found them yet…)

My fiancée and I tried Café Reva for the first time this morning. We’re from out of town and both vegan, so finding local eateries is always a challenge. To be honest, from the outside I feared what we were in for, but once you’re seated it’s a very cozy décor and very friendly stuff. On first glimpse of the menu I was worried. The food looked great and the menu had many delicious sounding options, but extremely limited in vegan options. The gazpacho sounded great, and maybe a fruit cup. I am happy to report that the gazpacho was excellent, the fruit cup has a beautiful presentation to it, and upon learning that we were vegan the chef ran with it and prepared a wonderful meal: grilled Portobello on sourdough with lettuce, tomato, asparagus and avocado accompanied with spinach and well spices home fries, ensured no dairy used in the preparation. It was superb! Then to top it off, the price could not be beat!!! Really fantastic experience all around, we definitely recommend it to all!!!

Now mind you that this is really a 3 star place if you lived in some other area with a higher standard of restaurants. But since this entire area is devoid of really great eateries, I’ve modified my star scale on all my reviews of dining experiences in the area. Its a bit of a dive but likely the best breakfast place we’ve been to in the greater upstate area in this price range. The food was good, service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Truly an amazing menu for great prices. Poached eggs with Portobello mushrooms? Multi grain waffles? Yes. A Challah french toast special stuffed with Peanut Butter and Nuttella is dessert! For Breakfast? Once in a while, if necessary!

Serendipitous. That’s what I would call it. My friend and I were taking a fall foliage tour of the Berkshires and decided to check Unilocal quickly as it was approaching lunchtime and we determined if we didn’t eat soon, our options would be limited. We scrolled through the local reviews and after a near miss with another local establishment, noted that this place got 5 stars out of like 24 reviews. We figured we should trust that, even after we saw from the outside what did not appear to be a 5 star establishment. Once we got to the door, we noted that it was hopping and there was a wait. The interior certainly didn’t «wow» us either, but between the rating and the full house, we imagined we had stumbled onto something great. We were told we could pair up with another set up diners if we didn’t want to continue waiting. Our apprehension grew. We silently thought to ourselves«Is this what they do here?!» But we decided to go along with it. We initially didn’t interact with the others at our table much, other than exchanging pleasantries. After we ordered what sounded like some amazing(and unusual for the categorical blue collar environment we were in) dishes — including a club sandwich with goat cheese and avocado as the main ingredients, we began to talk with the others at our table and were we glad we did. Locals always know the best things to do!!! I began«bookmarking» away, who knew there was so much to do around here? We learned a lot of the local history, were given some great pointers and filled our agenda for the afternoon. When our food arrived we were astonished. My friend’s french toast was fluffy and wonderful and home fries were magnificent. My goat cheese club sandwich served on 12 gran toast was scrumptious and one of our new friends’ meals looked out of this world. She ordered a fruit, yogurt, granola parfait that looked unlike any dish with that description I’d ever seen. It was beautifully presented with just about every type of fruit imaginable incorporated. I was actually a bit jealous. In summation, GO! Don’t let the appearance(outside or in) deter you. The food is great, the service was fast and the locals and friendly. No doubt it deserves 5 stars. Keep doing what you are doing Café Reva. As a side note, I have been slacking a bit in my review writing lately. Rather, I’ll «check in» or post a quick«tip», but this joint inspired me to write a thorough review. Now, that’s saying something. Cheers!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but do go in again and again!” We were recommeneded this place from someone on another food site. When we drove down the street the place didn’t look like much on the outside but it was very quaint on the inside and it was jammed. There was a waiting line so we decided to eat at the counter. I had the standard eggs, homefries, hash, and toast. All very good and the homefries really stood out, best I have had in a very long time. The hash was mostly corned beef with very few potatoes which was a nice treat. My partner had a breakfast club sandwich similar to McDonalds McGriddle but this had layers of french toast and they gave hom some maple srup to dip it in. It was nice stop on the way to VT from CT. This place is a keeper.

This is the kind of place you dream about finding while out traveling, uncertain if you’re going to find a decent meal in an unfamiliar place only to have all your expectations blown away. It really is a spectacular and tasty hidden gem! The ambiance is cozy, quaint, and clean. The menu boasts a unique selection of old favorites and new varieties, and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious! I loved little touches like the teacups lining the wall, how each plate was a different pattern, even the tea selection was eclectic and fun! But the real star of the show is the food. Everything was outstanding and delicious! I really struggled to finish my stuffed french toast filled with cream cheese, berries, and cinnamon because I was so full… but it was SOGOOD… It kept me going for hours afterward and really made my whole day. I rarely go out for breakfast, but I really wish a place like this was near my own hometown because this is where I’d want to bring friends and family without a doubt.

This is the breakfast place all others in this town should aspire to be like. I’ve been here hundreds of times, will wait in a 30 minute line to get a seat, and still be perfectly happy with my meal. it’s all fresh, and real food. the specials are always out of this world, and the huevos rancheros are so above par, it’s not funny. Then the Breakfast club… eggs, sausage, bacon all stuffed inside fresh french toast, is unbeatable. Aura has the vision and integrety to keep this place hopping for many years to come!!! PS. I think they cater tooo!

Wow! Café Reva deserves the accolades. I was in PIttsfield overnight on business and stopped in the next morning for breakfast. While folks are right — it is totally nondescript from the outside — the food, ambience, and service were right up there with Bella’s Café in New Haven — our gold standard by which all other breakfast establishments are judged! I sat at the bar, found the staff incredibly friendly, and immediately had a cup of coffee in front of me. Breakfast was unbelievable!!! I ordered the crabmeat & asparagus quiche, which was by FAR the finest crab quiche I’ve ever eaten. It was rich, creamy, and absolutely loaded with enormous chunks of real lumb crabmeat. Beyond delicious. The«side» fruit salad was truly awe-inspiring. Somehow into a relatively small bowl they were able to fit apples, blackberries, raspberries, red pear, kiwi, nectarine, strawberries, blueberries, banana, cantaloupe, and a dark cherry. A far cry from the run-of-the-mill fruit salad. The garnish was gorgeous and the bowl was like a miniature work of art. The fruit was fresh, ripe, and fabulous. So. Everyone. Go. Eat. Breakfast. At. Café. Reva. Now I just need an excuse to get back to the Berkshires…

Diner-style breakfast does not get better than this. Café Reva does not look like much from the outside. It is down the block from the Salvation Army store and near a recently closed Hess gas station. If you are used to high end faux-diners that have become the rage, this is not your place. On the other hand, if you want to meet a friendly staff that is focused on service and food — then Café Reva is the place. I come here regularly for their amazing eggs. Each week there are new and clever omelet choices. The ingredients are fresh and clever. It is always served hot and made to order. But, a warning. The place is small — tiny. You can expect a decent wait for a table during the summer season. And, the place can get hot when it is hot outside. Of course, I think it is well worth the wait.

My boyfriend and I are regulars here, we dont even have to order our beverages anymore and the staff doesnt give us menus. We are on first name basis with most of the fabulous and friendly staff. This place is always busy, and always full of happy people. In the summer it gets very hot in here, and you sometimes have a little long of a wait for your food… but its worth it! Fresh ingredients, prepared to order, with love. A few of our favorites are: the breakfast club: three peices of french toast layered with bacon, sausage, ham and egg just like a casual lunch club and syrup for dipping! The Huevos Rancheros: The spice blend on the rice is perfect I keep going back for more, after im already too full. With poached eggs and andouille sausage… yum. The Breakfast wrap: not burrito, but wrap. Very simple with eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado and spinach… perfect balance with homemade salsa on the side! Its a once a week jaunt down the road, to our favorite breakfast place. If it was open on our days off, we would be here even more!

This place is great for breakfast and lunch. My husband does not care for it too much because the place is small and at certain times in the summer can be very hot. But it was all worth it to drag him out(and sitting through whatever qualms he may have) and have a yummy meal there. I have been there for breakfast about 6 or 7 times and lunch twice. We went there for breakfast last week and as usual it did not disappoint. The quiche of the day was delicious! and the homefries I have been told are the best in town(by my husband!). For my breakfasts I usually sub the homefries for a cup of fruit salad with an upcharge. It is worth it! The fruit salad here are the BEST! I cannot emphasize it enough. If you love fruit get the fruit bowl here! At first site you will know how delicious it is. Please see the picture I have uploaded. Last month I had lunch there as it was amazing. My sister and I shared a bowl of cold watermelon-raspberry soup. YUMMY! Was kinda like a thin smoothie but with a spice kick. I had the Asian style pork burger with ginger soy mayo and she had a tuna melt. All of it was great. What I love so much about this place it that the menu has such great variety and are the the run of the mill sandwich and fries. They really stand by presentation, quality and flavors… all for a great price.
