Applebee’s

The new menu isn’t my favorite. I miss some of the old appetizers they had, like the potato twisters. The staff is friendly, but some are very forgetful when I ask for something. Sometimes the food tastes like it was microwaved as well.
I tried their new brisket enchiladas and they did not look like they were advertised whatsoever. It looked like I had a disgusting school lunch slop on my plate. It was quite tasteless as well.

Inconsistent.
The only time I resort to chain restaurants on travel is when there is nothing with a higher rating in the area. So it was with this trip.
I ordered the same exact thing both nights (weekday evenings around 5:30pm). The first night, my steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, but OMG did they salt it. I asked to swap out for sweet potato fries and they were fine, well cooked, well seasoned, a very generous amount.
The second night, my steak was cooked well done and my sweet potato fries swap was a sad pile of about 10 fries. She asked me if I wanted double fries and I said, okay, and yet they gave me 10 fries and the veggies.
The place is clean, even the bathrooms. Service and hosts are wonderful (the manager even came by when I was done on my second night, so there was no point in telling him about my meal since there was no evidence left to offer of my claim). As the joke goes, «I ate the steak.»
Would I go back? Yes, but I’ll probably get a burger next time and forgo the steak.

At 5 PM on a Monday it was pretty crowded and by 6 people were waiting to get in. Good chicken tortilla soup, excellent burgers and very good Thai chicken salad. Can see why it is popular. Located east of downtown. Small computer on each table– if you play games on it you get charged extra.

Go here sometimes because my sister likes it. Not my first pick, there are plenty more local places that have fresher ingredients and much friendlier staff. The food is par at best and the service is super slow. Not to mention the attitudes all the employees have including management. Try going to adams for good local pub food short drive from pittsfield.

Not bad. I had a chicken dish and my friend had the steak. Our waitress was attentive and food was good. I would go back again

My quesadilla burger was excellent along with my strawberry mojito. Yummy!

Love the appetizers. the burgers are great. they have a lot of choices to choose from all over from fish to chicken to steak to salads. The servers are pretty friendly and always keep the beverages refilled in a prompt fashion. Great place to have lunch or dinner with a friend.

This is by far my least favorite place to eat in the Berkshires. I never go by choice, only if invited and if I can’t talk them out of it.
Last time I got a rubber band in my burger and I just didn’t bother complaining because «meh, what did I expect it is Applebees».
One bright note, the happy hour and late night apps and beer specials are good.
