About a week before a long vacation, my vacuum started making weird noises and heating up real quick. I took it in to Bridges, hoping to get it fixed before I left; I have three dogs, and I didn’t want my poor dog-sitters to be swimming in dog fur while I was gone. The guy behind the counter explained they had about a 7 – 10 day turnaround, so I gave him the phone number of my dog-sitter, too, and just planned on leaving them money to cover the cost. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I got a call telling me the vacuum was good to go. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner told me her technician purposefully put a rush job on it to save me the hassle of trying to coordinate getting someone else to pick it up. I just got the vacuum home and gave the first floor a spin, and it works as well as it did out of the box. The repair was more than reasonably priced, too. $ 50 to sort out whatever was making that noise, and clean the whole interior of the vacuum. At that rate, I’m going to make getting the vacuum serviced an annual thing. I can’t imagine a better place to get your vacuum fixed/maintained.
