This was one of the highlights of my day in Pittsburgh. It is almost overwhelming to see everything in there. One of my favorite sections was all the shwinn chain guards organized by color. Got a chance to chat with the owner, and it was so cool to hear the stories behind some of the bikes. There are bikes in there that were used in movies as well. We ended up here because the Zoo was closed and I doubt the zoo would have been as fun.

Loved this place. The history is amazing. Seen things I’ve never seen before. Kinda wish the BMX side was bigger though but still an amazing place. It’s free but I did leave a donation to keep the lights on.

Wonderful collection of everything bikes plus odds and ends and plenty of Pittsburgh pride. If hoarding makes you uncomfortable, this might not be the place for you. Absolute gem.

This place is absolutely awesome. The engineering behind the bicycle has evolved over the last one hundred years or so and it is evident in every nook and cranny of this place.

My husband and I decided to take a trip here after looking up interesting things to do in Pittsburgh and we were definitely not disappointed! Bicycle Heaven was the largest and most eclectic collection of bicycles we had ever seen. We were both very impressed. The space is very neat with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. The museum upstairs is awesome with several bikes from all eras with lots of explanations to go along with them. The owner greeted us when we got upstairs and chatted with us about a few of the bikes we were most interested in. He knew so much about their history. This is a great activity to do in Pittsburgh, whether you are by yourself or with a family. The people are very hospitable and friendly. The collection of bikes is like nothing you have ever seen. I definitely recommend this place to anyone either living in Pittsburgh or just visiting.

BH is a gem! A must see for any yinzers or visitors to the Burgh. The attention to detail is fabulous. I really view this place as an art museum and not a bike museum. Go and you will see the what I mean. Awesome!

Nice hidden gem — finally able to explore this place with my hubby. Check out the glow in dark party room! Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Lots of bike eye candy and will need another look! We made a donation at the end. Worth it :)

Bicycle Heaven is a must if you are in the ‘Burgh. It’s a walk through history with bicycles. We loved that the owner touched base with us throughout the museum and shared nuggets of interesting facts. Great place with an eclectic vibe. Highly recommend for bicycle enthusiasts and if you want to experience something you won’t find any other place in the country.

I was a kid again, remembering sitting on that first Schwinn Stingray, ready to take on all comers; then, I was reliving the days of my first ten-speed, a Schwinn Varsity, and how that began the process of setting me free; then, thoughts of my first true all-purpose road bike, and how that allowed me to conquer the hills and roam far and wide under my own power, and on my own terms… wow, the rush of thoughts and feelings of coming of age on a bicycle have returned! This museum brought back those memories and a lot more: my first overnighter, my first PA state crossing, the multiple tours around and thru multiple states. Awesome experience all here in one building, on two floors! Few places extract those memories and dreams and yearnings to ride… I must be in Bicycle Heaven! Go there! Today! Enjoy! Ride On!

Wonderful people, great bike shop and a one of a kind free museum. We were doing the trail from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. Shipped both of our bikes there from California in boxes and had them get them ready for us. Reasonably priced, nice people and done on time. Make sure you leave time to visit the bike museum upstairs. Hundreds of exhibits.

During a visit to Pittsburgh when my plans to bike ride got rained out, I visited Bicycle Heaven instead. It lived up to its name by showing generations of bicycles, from the earliest ones with wooden tire rims to the kinds I rode as a kid in the 70s(don’t let the math fool you — I’m only 29). But it’s not a museum in the sense of a logical or educational presentation of the history of bikes and bike riding. It’s a great resource for people who maintain older bikes, but not for someone wanting to learn about them. In short, it’s a fun place to visit once.

Highly recommend a visit — the collection is quite amazing, with bikes from 1863 to present day. Truly a fantastic collection. Fun to see unique bikes, reminisced about childhood bikes and just a great, free place to visit a piece of bicycling history.

What a neat place the museum really brought back memories of my old bikes our family had back in the 1960’s. My brothet just dragged a freind and myself from Chicago on the bikes and it was an inspiration to go on another ride. Possibly the suggested route from the bike shop to DC. Ok boy I see another trip comming

Even if you aren’t an avid cyclist you should definitely visit this gem in the north side. I was on a hunt for a new bike and everyone was beyond helpful here. They took the time to teach more how to change my tire, explain gearshifts to me, etc. Their array of bicycles to choose from was probably the most I’ve ever seen anywhere else in Pittsburgh. They have novelty, low end and high end bicycles, mountain bikes, hybrids, roadsters, and anything else I missed. End note, I believe that this is one of the more interesting museums that you can find in Pittsburgh and deserves more recognition!

In terms of this being a museum, there are some old bicycles — the most interesting ones being from 1890’s or early on. I saw one early bike that uses a drive shaft instead of a chain. The bicycles area all lined up one after another making it a bit difficult to notice which ones are more unique. This place is more of a bike shop to buy and repair bikes then a museum. It’s someone’s large collection of bicycles.

Bicycle Heaven is simply magical. Two stories of vintage bikes, meticulously organized bike parts and bike art. You can also buy bikes and get your bike repaired. I got my bike tuned up there for a great price and my husband bought a bike too! The museum is lovingly curated by Craig morrow– A warm man who loves sharing his passion with the world. The museum is open to the public 10am-7pm daily and Craig only Asks for a donation. Get to bicycle heaven now and give generously– this is a hidden treasure in Pittsburgh that deserves our support!

If you’re a fan of bicycles or if you’re just looking for some quirky fun, check out this bike museum! The collection of antique and rare bikes is so insane, my brain hurt trying to take it all in. My favorite part of the museum tour is was the psychedelic party room! Admission is free but make sure you give a donation on your way out. This museum is a very special place!

As of a few days ago I never knew this amazing place existed! I found it after searching Google for local lowrider bike parts to finally start rebuilding my ’81 Schwinn Stringray. I met Henry at the door and he gave me some basic info about the place. I briefly told him about what I wanted to do with my bike and informed me I came to the right place. He directed me to the owner of the place for additional info. Later, Henry, showed me all the parts I needed in their massive facility. He seemed enthusiastic about helping me build my bike which was cool! The museum area upstairs was occupied by a private event, so I was only able to look from the doorway. Claims to have the largest collection of bikes and parts in the country and after a tour of the place you would definitely believe it! Loved this place and I’ll be back often until my bike is finished!

This place has the best vintage bicycles ever! He also has some stuff for sale and bikes too. They are very nice and have a HUGE bike room with a HUGE selection of vintage classic bikes. The main guy knows the whole place in and out like the back of his hand. The show room is super clean and packed with so much history. It’s a diamond in a rough. I wish this place was near my place. I would visit ALL the time. It’s getting harder and harder to find places like this. If you are into bikes and are in the area, you MUST come and check this place out. You will Not be disappointed. :-) thanks guys!
