I’m just an old geek that was in the area for a few hours so I decided to check it the museum and roboworld. As a single old fart, it was very obvious that the experience is tailored to young children. I did enjoy learning at all of the different exhibits, and loved seeing the robot displays. I would have enjoyed it more if I had someone with me, but it was still fairly entertaining for just myself. The iMax robot movie is discounted if you buy admission to the museum and I would recommend going and seeing it. The admission and parking cost made it a little less enjoyable, but if you are in the area with 25 bucks and time to kill you will probably want to check it out.

Automated fun. Start with the boring stuff first here and then spend the rest of the day just puttering along with the hands on stuff(although the boring stuff may not be seen as boring). We walked the wall that had the Robot Hall of Fame and ended up at the photo booth bench thing at the end. The photo op area is by far the best thing in this little section. You pick up to six robots you want in the picture with you and a background and wait for the picture to be taken. After the picture is taken you have the choice to put in your email address and have it mailed to you, or you can just forget about it. Then the fun begins, you go from section to section to see if you can outwit the robots. You could easily waste all your time here in this one part of the science center. There are tons to do here, but for me to list them all would leave nothing to be discovered. You just need to experience it yourself.

Roboworld is one of the largest robotic exhibits in the world. You can talk with a robot, see robots throughout the history of the cinema, including Hal, B-9 from Lost in Space, and of course R2D2 and C3PO from Star Wars. Test you skills by playing basketball with a robot, and even perform an operation. Fun stuff from the Carnegie Science Center.
