The Boardroom

Amazing selection of craft beers. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was laid back and very enjoyable. The roast beef and blue cheese panini was fresh and very tasty. The Boardroom will be my go to spot when I visit Pismo.

Great chicken, Apple, pecan and feta salad. The chicken was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Also had the Margherita flatbread pizza and it was good, not great. Nice selection of tap beers. Service was prompt and attentive and the NBA finals were visible from every part of the pub.

Great beer selection… Nice people and clean bar. Fun place in Pismo Beach. Great place for a drink and social hour.

The best pizza that I ever had. Very delicious. Staff is incredible nice. Love it. Will be back for more good food.

The boardroom is a good bar in SLO if you want to go to hang out with friends chat and have a good time.

Had good brew good atmosphere I would have dropped a 5 star but the smell from the kitchen of burning oil or something was smelling up the place. BUT the place is very well designed lots of sports on multiple TVs it’s off the Main Street but in a great spot. The beers on tap was great and the service was like it should be. I highly recommend it as a great place to get a cold one and some food.

Sucks. After not being served while seated at a table for a long while, asked the bartender if I should order from the bar. It’s probably faster, she tells me. I assumed the server was off changing a keg or something. Turns out he was the dude standing beside the bar, not 3 feet away talking to his bros. You’d think they’d be discussing something important like how to fix all of California’s ecological disasters. Nope– they were literally talking about how much they lift. This place is a dump run by honest-​to-​God former short bus riders.

Friends… you need to check this place out, and enjoy what it has to offer. While it is away from the mainstream Pismo fare… it is still only a few steps away from the beach. The atmosphere is that of a typical pub, but the beverage selection is far from typical. We stopped in after a wine pick-​up, and because the Pismo main was packed to the gills. Good thing we did or we would have missed out on a great local spot.
Entering we found a U-​shaped bar, tables and chairs, televisions w/​sports, and a gaming area for darts (a 2 board set-​up that was really well done). The first thing we read was the beer list. Too many bottles to list that included lagers, ales, pale ales, stouts, sours, creams, and the list goes on. The listings are all bottles, but the labels we tried were served in s culled glass and were delicious. They also have a rotating tap selection that consisted of 4 beers.
Now to the food. Started with the wings… seemed freshly battered, not frozen, and came with a choice of ranch or blue cheese. Nicely cooked, with just enough spice to them. For our entrees we went with sandwiches. First was the Italian panini. This included pepperoni, ham, provolone, and sliced tomato on what seemed like fresh baked bread. For the side it was the Cream of Jalapeño as the Soup of the Day. UN-​BEE-​LEEV-​UH-​BULL. Have never tasted anything like it. Just enough zip, texture, and creaminess that combined for a wonderful taste experience. The second sandwich was their Roast Beef panini. This wasn’t your deli counter beef, this was slow cooked, mom’s pot roast, chunky kind of sand-​o. To accompany the taste explosion was Caramelized onions, and blue cheese. This thing was on point. My side was their potato salad which was had the potatoes cooked a lil al dente, but the flavor and texture took your mind off of that.

Was here last night and I had a great time. Steve, one of the owners, was entertaining and had a great sense of humor. One of the regular patrons was giving him a hard time being highly inappropriate and weird and he was quick with clever come backs. Fun time for all around.

My only complaint is that the lights are too bright… how is anyone supposed to get laid around here?! Oh and the the Dogfish Head Pestina Peche is really good!

Cool little spot to hang out and grab a beer before or after you hit the beach ! Not a lot on tap but what they had was definitely good. Their list of bottled beer is extensive and the bartenders were friendly. A bike rental shop is the only thing that separates this place from you and the beach, cheers !!

It’s ok if you want a beer. the ‘hug selection’ of beer is really bottles… I think it’s mostly a local hangout. food is not so great. small selection. It’s great if you want to grab a beer w/​a buddy.
Not a family place. Won’t be back though.

First time there. Great selection of beers and the food was good. The place was empty on a Saturday in Pismo? The only reason we could decide was that there was no one greeting us when we arrived. The waitress didn’t seem too enthusiastic. I would have given it more stars if the service would have been better. Otherwise a nice spot for tourists and locals.

What a great little hangout. Surfboards hanging from the ceiling and a great beer and wine selection. I felt like having a little snack with my beer. I ordered the bruschetta. Holy cow it was good. The service is very friendly and fast. Remember though you are at Pismo pier so slow down, chill out and enjoy.

Great to go for drinks and darts, but don’t ever order the food. Wings were half breaded and hardly sauced– terrible. The chicken tenders were clearly from the freezer and also terrible. They were out of romaine lettuce for salads and had no burger patties. Do yourself a favor and skip the food.

If your looking to hang/​drink with people who live in Pismo Beach then you found the spot. The Boardroom is casual with TVs and a couple of dart boards. The food is not complicated but it is good. Prices are fair. Both men and women feel at home here. Bathrooms are clean.

Gotta stop in… Just to say hi on every trip to P-​mo! Great local stop/​great service and good food.
Beer or wine … How can ya go wrong!

The Boardroom is my favorite bar in the area. Why? It’s way less trashy than Harry’s (no offense if you like Harry’s but come on).
Beer selection is absolutely the reason to come here. The atmosphere isn’t that great there are TVs if you’re with boring company. Dart boards if you’re looking for fun.
The bartenders are really chill. Bring a jacket it gets cold in here.
