Fantastic. Great vintage vibe and very friendly staff and owners. The kids love it. Super cool bathroom. We came here on a foggy and chilly day so wanted to find something to do indoors.

I go to Pismo Bowl on Fridays for the Karaōke. This is put on by California Karaōke. This is the best place to get karaōke on Friday nights.

While the staff at Pismo Bowl are pretty friendly and the food is not half bad, the bowling lanes themselves could use some work. At least on the particular lane we were on, lane 2, my group of good bowler friends performed subpar. The ball would commonly be perfectly straight down the entire lane until the very end, where it would rapidly switch directions. I suspect there is a defect in that lane (at the least).

I understand this place is old, but I think it could do with some change. All the balls either have ridiculously small finger holes, or have sharp edges that dig into your fingers. I’m also fairly certain the lane we were on was not flat, as no matter what I did, my throws seemed to list right. Very frustrating when you are actually trying to bowl

Fun little joint to kill some time when you don’t want to be walking around outside. The lanes are outdated just like everything else in the place, but that’s what makes it so special! The pizzas were not good, but after a few beers, you wouldn’t even know the difference!

Wow, nostalgia. Take me back to the 60’s & 70’s.
We were looking for a lunch snack and peeking in spotted a diner style lunch counter!
Out teens haven’t experienced many things from our youth, but the chance…
We order a large pepperoni pizza, what could you expect, come on… it’s a bowling alley for heaven sakes. We watched the dough rolled out on the tiny counter, sauce, cheese and all. Slide into a tiny conveyor belt oven on the counter. (thinking, oh no, this oughta be interesting) served with a friendly smile… wait for it. … it. was excellent! ! I mean really good. You would never guess a $ 12 buck extra large bowling alley pizza would EVER be that good.
We ended up talking with the 3rd owner since 1939 and saw a local family business that had pride in an American ideal.

Its a GREAT PLACE. The Goldies do a great job– Steve Chris Steve and Jason. I just love this place. The food The people The atmosphere– Who cares about a website or a Latte. Be glad that is all you have in life to complain about. I go here whenever I’m in town. If I wait a bit– I wait a bit:-)) It is all about having fun with my spouse or family or friends. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Just spontaneously bowled at almost 930 pm on a Sunday, the guy working the counter was super cool about it and said we could bowl even though they were closing. Great place, lots of fun even played air hockey! Only downsides are its a small place and not much selection on bowling ball sizes…

Our family loves to go here! it is small and older but it reminds me of being young and going to the local alley with friends. They have food and beer (what more can you ask for) and of course Bowling! There is usually lanes open when we go but we avoid Pismo like the plague during the tourist season. It is a fun place for parties! I would recommend it for Family fun or for a fun adult night out!

A great hang out spot for the locals and a place to consider if you’re a tourist! The staff here are wonderful and the remodeling of the place looks great! Even when the place was outdated, it was still fun!
One feature that I like about this place is the digital jukebox. Yes, they charge you $ 1 to play a song (you might as well buy a song with the money) but that sure didn’t stop my friends from taking advantage of the jukebox and blast Metallica songs while we bowled. Definitely had some great times here with friends and expect the tradition to continue when I start a family.

I cannot say how wonderful the staff (the older lady and young man) at Pismo bowl were!
Every summer we take our residents who are disabled for vacation and this year they chose Pismo.
I know many people are not always open to people with disabilities but at Pismo Bowl, that was not the case! They were extremely accommodating and were very understanding! It was very affordable compared to bowling in our area (Sf-​East Bay)

Food is generous, good and pretty reasonable. Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries $ 6.50. I LOVE Burgers– this was good for the price I’ll go back again. The people there were very friendly. The lady we chatted with Suzie told us they have people in their 90’s bowling there a few times a week! OMG! How cool is that? Liked the atmosphere there– safe place to hang out with NO Creepy McCreepsters– I know its off season now so it was locals– but we have been when there were more tourists and it was the same safe feeling.
Monday nights are all you can eat pizza and bowling for $ 15.

Okay your in Pismo and wondering what to do after doing the beach thing all day — Go Bowling.
Chris and Suzie run a topnotch facility and always make you feel welcomed. The grilled food has always been a main staple to get you through each turn to toss the bowling ball around. Can’t go wrong with a grilled hamburger and fries.
The place is a work in progress and appears the remodeling is coming around. Be patient and support them as you will have a great time.
