Fast, friendly, yummy and 2 for 1 bloody Marys! Definitely coming back! Bonus, close to the flea market so I can walk off the huge portion of chipped beef I just inhaled!

First timer! This place is great! Nice cute diner setting and the staff was nice as well. I can’t believe I have never seen this place because it’s literally right down the street from my job. I called to place an order for pick up. I was craving corned beef hash(it’s more of like an addiction) and asked the young lady on the phone if it was prepared with potatoes. She(not so kindly) responded«I don’t know, I don’t eat that stuff.» Really? Well I don’t smoke crack but I bet I could give you a fairly accurate description of it. Anyway, that did not take away from my experience here. The corned beef hash was amazing! The eggs were cooked perfectly and I will definitely be retuning to try some of their other menu items. *Tip when you pull into the parking lot don’t even bother going to the left, just go to the right because the left is a one way with only 4 spaces and if they are full your only option is to pull back onto a busy 49th Street.

Awesome food. Great variety. Hometown café experience. Superior service. Best and least expensive meal of our trip.

Why didn’t I order the grilled biscuits? There always seems to be something no matter what we do that would make the experience so much more enjoyable and if we miss it then it becomes less memorable and so average. Well there’s no doubt I missed it because average is how I felt while eating here. I’m not an expert on how to assemble a plate especially a breakfast plate and maybe it’s not so important that you present a simple omelette and hash-browns with or without an orange slice, because after all it should be about the food although we all want the presentation to be appetizing who cares what it really looks like once the Unilocal photo is taken. Today’s selections Parkside Omelette — a simple 3 chicken egg omelette filled with select pork cuts — bacon — sausage and country ham with melted domestic swiss cheese as advertised, unfortunately the system broke down, and I ended up with American cheese or cheese-wiz which I despise. Hash-Browns — these so resemble home fries… I guess when you’ve been in business for decades the standards slip a little and the expectations to provide the customer with the best service possible becomes a thing of the past as well. I guess my decision not to order the most unique thing on the menu was the game changer, it certainly wasn’t the a four star experience I expected, and to think I could of chosen to stop anywhere I wanted to but settled for average at best. I wish I could say this place was super busy, but it was closer to being empty so I assume the locals have already decided this isn’t the place they any longer find appealing, if you do happen to find yourself here ask for the check when your food arrives or the wait can be excruciating…

We use to come here a lot. The breakfast does not taste the same to me and my fiancé it just taste cheaper. The service and food has gone down after they remodeled the place.

Parkside Café is consistently good, which is why it’s become a place that I keep wanting to return to. There’s no shortage of selection on the menu. They have everything here from chicken parmesan to guacamole to paninis to pancakes. I typically get a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of either onion rings(which are great as long as you ask for them to be extra crispy) or fries. Breakfast is served all day which is great considering that they are open till 9pm. The english muffins, eggs, and pancakes are all very good, but I wasn’t too big a fan of the French toast. The dessert selection here is I think one of the best and biggest in the Tampa Bay Area. To just name some of the desserts, they have brownies, cheesecake, tons of pies, bread pudding, cakes, muffins and so much more. You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts — they are all excellent!

Great service, food and atmosphere! A very pleasant surprise! Stopped for lunch because it was the first place we saw. And usually we review every place we eat. Both my husband and I got the cheeseburgers. Yum! Huge, perfect temperature and crispy fries. We will be back. On the way out we grabbed a white chocolate with bailey’s Irish cream icing. Yum.

It’s a diner with diner food. The portions are good sized and the prices are not too bad. Service is efficient and friendly. Nothing great but certainly nothing bad either.

We were desperate to find a breakfast spot after driving around St. Pete all morning. We finally arrived here at about 10 on a Sunday morning to a completely backed room(lobby included). Disappointed, we almost left to find someplace with a seemingly shorter wait. But we got lazy and planned to wait it out. So glad we did! Park side café really hit it out of the park! We waited less than 5 minutes and were seated in a great little booth with an excellent waitress. The menu had a wide variety of options, and I loved my veggie omelette. The portion sizes were huge, and were shockingly inexpensive. I was thrilled with the choice, and felt marvelously satiated after the meal. I don’t plan to be back to the area soon, but would recommended it to anyone who is traveling through.

Sour ketchup, over a half hour to get food and I never got a straw. Probably should just avoid pinellas park in general in terms of food.

Get the grilled biscuit. Every time. stopped in for a Sunday breakfast after reading some good reviews. It didn’t disappoint. They were pretty steady and the service was still attentive. Home cooked feeling to everything and prices were reasonable. Will be back!

Great food, great service. Went for an extra late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon, after reading some other reviews thought we’d give a try. We both ordered skillets with grilled biscuit for our bread-really good! My boyfriend ordered 2 stack pancakes-they were amazing evidently the batter is made in house, same as their cakes. We will definitely be going back here sometime.

I have been coming to this place with family and friends for years and have always been very happy with the food and the service in every way. A recent event did prompt me to finally write a review that has been long in coming. Last weekend I brought a group of 16 to Parkside after the funeral for my father and the service was just awesome. Since this whole event was indeed a very much last minute thing that needed to be planned, we checked with Parkside a couple of days before to make sure it would be alright. They made everything work for us and the highest of praises go to Kim and the staff for the stellar service and the best possible dining experience. Good food and good smiles. You guys rock. Thanks for helping put a smile on a sad day. We will be back.

On our regular breakfast rotation now! This place is solid. So glad we decided to stop in. Dining area is bigger than it looks from the outside. We were seated fairly quick for how busy they were. Coffee was actually ok. Food was better. Huge portions and great on taste! I ordered some special they had going on that was 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, and 3 bacon for like $ 6 – 7. Too much food! Luckily I had my family with me who each took a pancake. Pancakes were fluffy and had a nice texture. Hubby ordered the country fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns, and a grilled biscuit. My son ordered a bacon and egg sandwich on a croissant with hashbrowns. Everyone was very happy with their food. That grilled biscuit was on point. Service was great and the food did not take long to come out. They also have a lunch/dinner menu that features a wide variety of options… or order breakfast for dinner! Great place and easy on your wallet. Def recommend if you are in the area.

I’m comparing this to Trip’s Diner in St. Pete which right now set the par. Ordered Lorraine quiche. Italian deep dish. Can’t remember what it’s called. It has potatoes and meat at the bottom and fried egg on top. Coffee and water. Old place w/old décor. SUMMARY: Slightly below average food. Right price. Very good service.

It can be very easy to miss this unassuming little café in Pinellis Park but it’s worth the stop if you’re in the neighborhood. After an overly festive Saturday night, I was on a hunt for a hangover cure and came across this place. We started off with some jalapeño poppers in the hopes a little spice would take my mind off my headache. The poppers were fried perfectly and tasted fresh. For my main course I decided to go for a Greek skillet. This DIDNOT disappoint! The gyro meat was spiced perfectly and there was enough hash on the bottom to give me the requisite grease. The eggs on top made the meal. The biscuit was neither here nor there but helped to soak up some left over libations. If you’re willing to overlook the dated décor, this place is solid for a meal. They have breakfast all day and 2 for 1 mugs of beer if you need a little hair of the dog(which I did). They’ve got some pretty snazzy party dude murals up front(photo proof included) and a full selection of pastries to go at the door.

So my friend was visiting from out of town and we wanted to meet folks from Largo for bkfst /brunch on a Sun morning and I’m in St Pete. .. not much in the middle, but looked on Unilocal and found this gem. At first we were disappointed we wouldn’t have a true brunch experience with mimosas and atmosphere, but upon arrival we learned they have a full bar. .. atmosphere is family diner, not trendy, but Unilocal prepared us for that. They have an extensive menu for bkfst and the decisions were not easy. The griddled biscuit had been suggested by others so it was ordered by a few of us and YUM! The prices are in line with the atmosphere and won’t break the bank. They serve other meals too. Everything was fresh, but the service which was friendly. I will be back as they had an amazing case filled with home made cakes and pies. .. I must try them! Enjoy!

I ventured into Parkside Café after reading the Unilocal reviews. I have yet to try their regular food, but I have had breakfast there 3 times now. I have loved everything I have tried other than their gravy(it is too thin and tastes canned). Their Greek Skillet is really good and probably my favorite thing so far. I like to order it with my eggs over easy so that the yolk runs down into the potatoes, gyro, etc. Sprinkle on some salt and some ketchup. It’s SO good. Make sure you order the grilled biscuits as your bread, they are awesome. Their Kielbasa is also delicious! They slice it down the center and grill it. Yum. The Quiche Lorraine is pretty good and I like the fresh fruit it came with. The staff is always friendly and efficient. We have enjoyed our experiences at Parkside Café and we will continue to visit.
