We went to the show today, and it was awesome. I was concerned about the price and mixed reviews here and from people around town, but we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was good(not fantastic, but not bad at all), the facility was spotless, and the service was impeccable. Our server, Jennifer, was very attentive and did a great job, and did not interrupt the show as she kept our glasses and plates full. I thought the show was impressive, and the performers were great. The part with the performer who«flew» like a bird while the guy rose the horse was really beautiful. The bluegrass guys in the preshow were really good, and entertaining/funny! We even bought one of their CDs, and they autographed it for us. I do think the price is a little steep(maybe $ 10 less would be more appropriate, I think), but it was a good show to see on vacation and I’m glad we did it.

First off, I must say this place really needs to re think their handicapped situation. I went with family, and one member is completely confined to their chair. We were seated on the upper area, but it was insanely awkward to shove chairs out of the way and scooch the chair to the long Bartop table. We also couldn’t find any handicap accessible bathrooms. The food was okay. Kind of bland and mediocre. The veggie soup is honestly like hot milk. Biscuit was good! The chicken and pork were dry as the Sahara. Our waiter was awesome, though. The entertainment was cheesy and outdated, but cute overall. It was fueled largely by patriotism and outdated southern tropes, but the horses were beautiful and the pig race was adorable. Overall, not a bad experience for the money, but if you have disabled family in your party, look somewhere else.

I went to Pigeon Ford with my Family for a pre summer Vacay, this was actually a nice show. We didn’t wait long to get seated, she had already purchased our tickets in advance and it took about 10 minutes to walk in take our pictures in the Deon and go upstairs to sit down. We sat down and was greeted by our waiter who was very nice. Show started after everyone was seated and the host explained how the show operates. Long story short you eat with your hands and stomp with your feet. Very interactive! Even though I felt like they left something out with the story on how America was built… They mentioned the Native Americans but failed to mention my ancestors…(side eye) Word to the wise, if you have Asthma the animals might irritate you so take an asthma pump just in case.

Was extremely impressed with this dinner show. Great show for everyone. Wasn’t expecting the food to be all that great but it turned out to be excellent. Was very surprised on how good the food was. Enjoyed the pre show with the banjo band just as much, if not more than the main show. The pre show banjo band was very talented group of musicians and was worth what I paid if that’s all I was going to see. Will probably come to this show every time we are in the area.

The show was amazing. The performers and the animals are truly talented. Eating an entire meal with my fingers was a first and I would gladly do it again. There was a lot of food for 1 person but it was pretty tasty. And the sweet tea was perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the seating. 1 long 1 sided booth that seated 12 and if you are in the middle and have to get up them everyone had to get up so tough had better hold it, which is hard with unlimited sweet tea. Will worth the price, which wasn’t bad at all.

If you love Mid Evil Times, then you’ll love Dixie Stampede. With the civil war theme of the South vs the North. It combines a series of competitions from racing horses and pigs, southern bell dancing, good old cowboy bravado, and various other performances. The meal is given piece by piece, beginning with this creamy soup and buttery awesome biscuit. Next comes the Cornish hen, then the pork shoulder slice, a huge russet potato slice, and finally a apple critter as the dessert. I actually like this place better than M.E.T. but the downside of it is that it’s not in DMV area.

A softer no conflict version of the Civil War. It was nice. They didn’t focus on the real issues or reason of the war and I appreciated that. It was a great show. The horse tricks and comedy was great.

I loved this place! Before the show, if you go early you can enjoy a banjo band, which was fun and buy drinks separately. We had some sort of orange cream slushy type drink, which was very tasty. For dinner, my husband and I went and sat on the«North» side.(You can choose whether you would like the North or South side and also how high or low you’d like to sit.) They had drink choices of tea, sweet tea, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, lemonade, water and coffee. You do not get silverware. It’s all foods you can pick up and eat with your hands, except for the soup, which is not chunky so you’re able to drink it out of your bowl. They serve you soup, biscuit, halved baked potato(this was my favorite part), corn on the cob, pork chop slice, whole cornished hen, and a warm apple apple fritter to finish. As for the entertainment, I really did enjoy it. I won’t give too much away, but there was a variety in what they showed. I would definitely say that they had real talent and some of the acts were sort of cheesy, but in a good way(purposefully). It was interactive as they pulled some people from the crowd for parts of it. We really enjoyed this and will come back some day when we have kids so they can enjoy it too!

My family and I visited the Stampede and had a pretty good time. The food was decent but they gave you a fairly good helping. The show wasn’t half bad and it actually had some funny moments. Definitely recommend for the whole family. Warning, if you do not like eating with your hands you may not enjoy this so much… there is not silverware.

The pre-show was great and entertaining. The dinner and show blew my mind. Our waiter, Daniel, did a fantastic job of keeping the drinks filled and the food was served hot and fresh. The tribute to Native Americans, buffalo, and America was down right worth every penny.

A really fun experience, if a bit overpriced in my opinion. The food is pretty good and the show, while cheesy is entertaining. The north/south rivalry is played very well(not political) and the show is very family friendly. All drinks are non-alcoholic, so bear that in mind. I’ve been to both locations. The dinner was a whole Cornish hen(which is really good), a slice of pork tenderloin(quite dry), a cheddar biscuit(good), creamy vegetable soup(all cream, no vegetable, but still good), a half a potato(not bad but pretty plain), and an apple turnover(quite good). Unlimited drinks. Their sweet tea is fantastic and could double as pancake syrup.

Waste of money. The show wasn’t what we expected and it’s a little over priced to be served over cooked food and you can not get silver ware to eat which is hard for kids. And when the shows over they force the 1500 plus people inside out thru a funneled stairwell entering the tiny souvenir shop which isn’t big enough to hold 50 people. This isn’t a family friendly place it’s only centered around getting every cent each customer has.

We had a great time! Celebrated husbands birthday here. The show was amazing. It stayed true to Southern heritage, but overall was inclusive and respectful. The food was pretty good. I was stuffed when we left! My favorite past of the show was the piglet race. We enjoyed ourselves. Book in advance, and use preferred seating. We had awesome seats in section D2.

The most important thing about attending Dixie Stampede is you have to just NOT overthink it. Of course, I overthink everything, so DS gets a «mehhhh» from me. I’m glad I went this once, the base price for a big meal and a show wasn’t unreasonable($ 55/per person for the«preferred North» seating — it’s the taxes, fees, surcharges, etc. when you check out online that’ll get you into a fuming rage), the performers were high-energy and talented and our server was awesome. Buuuuuut. The show is rife with some really cheesy, corny stuff. My husband and 12 y.o. daughter loved the show but her 13 y.o. friend was bored a lot of the time. The Old South sentimentalism can be squirmingly uncomfortable. I get it, I do, I’m from a proudly redneck town in KY, and durrrr we are visiting Dixieland. I’m probably overthinking it, but the whole North vs. South thing and the songs about southern belles and land of cotton is kinda damn awkward. I know less than nothing about Native American culture, but the neon bird representation was goofy. The show just overall could be updated(NOTPOLITICIZED, just updated), down to even the Christmas light-bedecked outfits. The performers were talented and our server Greg was on point. I read the reviews and we brought cash to tip, and 15%-20% is certainly understandable. I didn’t quite see the point of having to get at DS so early before the pre-show except the co. wants you to spend 45 minutes buying popcorn, nachos and sugary drinks to shove in your face before eating a whole chicken. Don’t do it, please don’t. You get tons of food and nonstop drinks with your meal. All around, the meal was pretty good and fresh. The cornish hen and pork slice were dry and both had kind of a weird taste, but I drowned them in BBQ sauce and devoured them. The creamy vegetable soup is basically a cup of white gravy(I saw no veggies…), so my kiddo and I liked it, especially with the cheese drop biscuit. The half potato and corn were overcooked and dripping with butter, just like country cooking does and that suited us just fine. We all liked the hot apple turnovers and unlimited drinks which were constantly being refilled in our Mason jars. Note, tableware really isn’t necessary. I read the reviews and brought plastic utensils and except for the soup(I am just not keen on slurping soup out of a bowl), the rest of the meal is finger-friendly. And honestly, you miss the show if you’re looking down cutting your food the whole time. I thought there would be more horse acts and the ones that they had were fun. A lot more singing and cheesy acts than expected. The piglet and chicken shows were adorable and also made my stupid overthinking brain weirded out as I chomped on pork loin and poultry while oohing and ahhhing over how adorable the animals were. Ugh. I sound like an insufferable northern yuppie suburbanite, maybe I’m becoming one, who knows. You get the«yeehaw, we’re all Amurricans, the Nawth and Sowth!» finale, the usual sales pitch of hideous family pics that they make you pose for at the entrance($ 31), and then you are hurriedly herded out to make room for the next show… out the exit through the gift shop(there has got to be some sort of Fire Marshall violation here). Overall, decent family outing on our last night in Dixieland, glad I did it this once because the kid and husband loved it.

The Dixie Stampede never disappoints. The show is entertaining and the food is surprisingly good. Here is a run down of the process: Get there early and find out when the pre-show starts. They play some bluegrass in the waiting area and it is just as entertaining as the show. Note that this place does not serve alcohol. It is mainly iced beverages and soft drinks. You can snack on Nachos and Popcorn, but the real treat starts once you are seated. The show is The South vs. The North. The service starts with soft drinks of your choices(the tea was not good btw. I believe its packaged and not freshly brewed). The show starts and drinks begin to arrive. They are soon followed by a biscuit and vegetable soup(delicious) at this time you start to realize that they have not brought you any silverware, why? because you are a settler, you don’t get any silverware :) Once you start finishing up your soup and biscuit, the main event starts. A baked potato, corn, a slice of pork, and a whole cornish hen. Dig in. It is delicious and very filling. The evening is topped with a great show paired with an apple pastry. Our kids have been there twice and they have loved it both times. It is entertaining with delicious food. The servers are fun and are always working hard to get things right for you. Lastly, do not forget about gratuity. The expectation is 15% — I made the mistake of not having any cash and the onsite ATM was not working. We worked it out with our server, but it took a little while — don’t make the same mistake I made.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this dinner show. It was the only show playing while we were in town so we jumped on it. We received discounted tickets through our cabin rental company, I highly recommend checking with yours. Our seats were in row N1. The seating was tight but comfortable. As for the food and service, they were both excellent! When it came time for the main course, we had just received our chicken, potato, tenderloin and was getting our corn on the cob when one of horses came by and throw dirt all over my plate and drink along with 3 other people’s. Our server, Josh quickly grab our plates and drinks and brought us new ones. He also cleaned off the table. The show was very entertaining as well. The pig racing was our favorite. I giving this 4 stars because they could do some improving. The dirt accident could have been prevented if they would install a clear barrier that could retract up and down. This would keep plates clean and still away for the meet and greet at the end of the show. Also the photo sales were very pushing and the gentleman wouldn’t leave us alone so we could watch the show. Lastly, there was only one way in or out of the show so it was crowded and truly felt like a stampede. Of course this was done so they could make you go through the gift shop.

The description/advertisements remind me of Medieval Times — another dinner show(with horses) that we previously enjoyed in the DFW area, so I figured this would be similar. It is very similar, but Dixie Stampede is SOMUCHBETTER! This dinner show production is so professional and well put together — even my 3 and 4 year old daughters loved it(and stayed up, happily, way past their bedtimes). I loved the music, singing, and dancing This completely exceeded our expectations, and I’m so glad we booked it and paid extra for preferred seating(extra $ 5/person for first 3 rows) — absolutely worth it! My tots are picky eaters and light-weights, so I opted to have my 3 year old sit in my lap for free, and it actually worked out perfectly. More than enough food, no issues eating or enjoying/participating in the show, and I thought it was really fun. We were seated in the center, second row from the front(North side) = perfect! We’re here in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg over Valentine’s Day/President’s Day weekend, and it’s been incredibly busy and crowded — everywhere — all weekend long. I couldn’t get tickets for the 6:30PM show — sold out, so we had to settle for 8:30PM tickets, which actually looked like a full house, so maybe it also sold out. Definitely go to the pre-show, and sit upstairs, close to the red curtain, as the other Unilocalers advised. «Honky Tonk Tennessee» is the last song, so start lining up at the red curtain to go into the arena. Plenty of bathrooms, and, of course, they have changing tables — very family friendly. Yes, it’s touristy, but this is money well spent for a solid entertaining family night in Pigeon Forge.

I’m not usually into this sort of dinning experience but it was better than I expected. They try to get everyone involved in the show the best they can. They use some fireworks, good looking customs, and preform some cool stunts. You can’t use silverware for dinner, hands only. You do get a full plate for dinner but by taste, it’s alright. The staff is friendly and helpful also. No alcohol by the way.

Well… My girls liked it but my boys were bored. It would’ve been better if it had cost less and gave less food. It is well done but we went on the 29 of December and the show was still Christmas and I’m over Christmas. I wanted it to be normal. I have been once before in Branson and it was better. The pre show was magic and here it was just singing. Some of the skits in the show are just dorky.

Have been before but went to Christmas show this past trip. The general show was better especially with the creepy doll scene. I don’t want to get into the show too much to not ruin anything, but it was solid with a few laughs, some tricks, some competitions… good overall. The pre-show was decent too, I like bluegrass music though. The food. If you haven’t figured it out yet, there is no utensils, which is understandable for the setting. None of the food was the best of anything I ever had, but it was solid. For me, the chicken and soup was the best. Just eat the soup hot. the pork, taters, and corn are what they are. There are to go bags at the tables if you can’t finish your meal. My only major disappointment was the sweet tea, it was one of those pre-made nestea type things that just tasted fake. Like others say, if you want any food during pre-show, it all cost something and not great. The worst part was leaving. They make you enter the gift shop as you leave, which is not rare at places like this. The problem is the 1,000 people or so in the room all have to leave down these 2 tiny staircases located in the same lobby as those waiting for the elevators, so it was a major back-up leaving. They did their job though as my girls got souvenirs from their grandparent so sell at a garage sale next year.

I was pleasantly surprised by the meal and the show. I’ll start with the meal first. The meal is creamy soup, a biscuit, a small rotisserie chicken, a piece of pork loin, half of a potato, half of a corn on the cob, and an apple turnover. I don’t eat that kind of meat, and they were nice enough to bring me a pasta and veggie plate. It was way over cooked but I was grateful to have it. The sides were pretty decent, your typical mass produced type food. My biggest issue is that you’re supposed to eat it all with your hands and they don’t give you silver wear(with the exception of the pasta). The dessert was pretty delicious though. The show exceeded my expectations. It was a bit cheesy but it was also pretty entertaining. The horses were beautiful and the trick riding was pretty impressive. The man guys were funny and the animals were super cute. The seating was easy and it seemed like there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. They don’t serve alcohol and they only have one staircase to empty the whole arena, which was pretty annoying. Otherwise, a pleasant dinner and a show experience, especially for such a touristy place.

I’ve been looking forward to this since we booked our vacation to Gatlinburg! We had a really good time. It was family friendly(not an issue for me if it wasn’t, but we went with my sister, brother-in-law, 12 y.o. nephew, and 10&4 y.o. nieces), and they don’t serve alcohol(also not an issue for me). The pre-show was good, and the main show was really well done. There was a lot of variety among the acts and there were several instances of audience participation in the actual arena, which puts it above other similar dinner shows. I thought the food was great. You get a whole small chicken, slice of pork, biscuit, soup, potato, corn on the cob and an apple turnover, plus unlimited beverages. Our server, Matt, was super nice. The first pop he gave me was flat, and when I told him, he gave me a new glass and filled it from a different pitcher. Having been to similar shows in the past, I had an idea what it would Belize, and Dixie Stampede exceeded those. It’s a must do if you’re near Gatlinburg.

Yee Haw! Awesome food, ok show. We are locals therefore the horses, rodeo and general slapstick humor was second nature. Only a few things were laughable to us. The food was really good. Almost too much which is why they brought us several bags to take it home. We did have one issue but was quickly taken care of and they were just as shocked as we were. Wow was i disappointed. The drink cup they offer you before the show is a waste of money! You get unlimited sodas, tea and water inside the show so hold off for an hour. The drinks they offer you pre show were HORRIBLE! They sound good, but when you get them they taste like concentrated flavoring syrup!!! The popcorn was a little on the stale side so skip that too. Pre show was ok, definitely a little corny, but passed the time. The dinner was less than desirable, especially factoring in the price it costs. The meal included a soup, small whole chicken, pork loin, a potato, a small portion of corn, and a dessert. The food is served without silverware which was cool. The soup was good, no complaints with that. The chicken was super salty and a little overcooked!!! it ruined the entire chicken, which was disappointing. The slice of pork you get was ok, but the flavor was off. The potato was the best thing for the dinner. A little crispy and went good with BBQ sauce. The corn was over done and soggy. There was no flavor to it. The show was good, but the food ruined it…

ABSOLUTELY recommend this to anyone visiting the area. So much fun! I booked this as part of a package with a hotel room and DollyWood admissions, and had a very easy experience. I printed a voucher before I left for my admission, and though the voucher said arrive no later than 50 minutes prior to showtime, we got there about a half hour before the show started and had no trouble getting in. When we arrived, we had our picture taken by a photographer, they later came around with prints for us to inspect, and if we liked them(which we did), we could buy them for $ 25 — I paid Cash for them, not sure if they have an option to pay for those with a credit card or not — and you received 3 copies of your photo and one copy of a rider from the show. We then went into the pre-show area, where they had a trio playing country music and interacting with the crowd. The band was enthusiastic, the music was great — over-all a really fun show. We bought two(non-alcoholic) specialty drinks in souvenir hurricane glasses(an up-charge) and a bucket of popcorn for $ 16. The young man who worked at the concession stand was SUPER nice to us, and set a tone for that evening, and the following day’s experiences at DollyWood. Everyone was incredible! I would have probably liked the glasses better had they been made of glass(I would have been OK with paying more for a more durable/more usable remembrance of the trip) We then went into the venue, which is an arena with rows of benches and tables in front of them. You do not get an individual seat, but it was comfortable. Our waiter(Evan I believe his name was) came by and asked us what we wanted to drink — there is no alcohol served here to my knowledge — and he was excellent with keeping our drinks full. During the show dinner was served — it was creamy vegetable soup, a whole rotisserie chicken, a slice of pork, corn on the cob, a roasted potato, and an apple turn-over for dessert. Considering the circumstances, all the food was delivered to us PIPING hot — and was really very tasty! Even to eat with no utensils :) The dinner show was also a lot of fun– music, dancing, wonderful horse riding stunts. It is not at all pretentious(there are pig races, and children selected from the audience chase chickens across a finish line) One last note– gratuities are not included in the price of the ticket, so remember to bring a few dollars to thank your waiter — if they all work as hard as ours did, then they definitely deserve it!

I’ve been to gatlinburg and pigeon forge almost every year since childhood. Somehow this was my first stampede! Unfortunately, all those years of built up expectations set me up for disappointment. Part of the reason the family hadn’t gone is because it cost upwards of $ 50 a person, even for kids. The food was good, not great and everyone got the same meal. No utensils – be prepared – but I thought it was kind of fun. While our server was satisfactory, a high gratuity was required. I hate that. Tips are tips – additional amounts given to recognize good service. The reason for the three stars was that I thought it was overpriced for the quality of the show. There were flashy costumes and lights, which the kids and grandparents loved(haha!). The singing, however, was mostly prerecorded and there was a very cheesy video of Dolly Parton that looked like it was produced 20 years ago as the finale. Some of the themes/performances were borderline insensitive to certain people groups. I thought the live show with equestrian performances was a good idea, but it’s time to update the story line and music.
