This was our second visit as the first turned out to be some of the best sushi we have had in the greater Columbus area. I’m not sure what has happened between then and now but this visit was a big disappointment. We ordered salmon sashimi and a rainbow roll to start off. The rainbow roll was quite a bit smaller than we recall and the order of salmon sashimi consisted of two thinly sliced pieces arranged in a flower and was quite a contrast from the thick half dozen slices we got the first time. Also ordered spicy scallop roll which was good but again the roll was very small. Although we were one of maybe 10 people in the restaurant the Service was slow and inattentive and a far cry from what we experienced our first time there. We will not return.

Great when you go in to eat. RUDE on the phone when calling to ask if you can get take out.

I felt like even without the Unilocal deal we had a solid value for money here. My husband will eat just about any quality sushi but we won’t go very often if he thinks it’s subpar and he really liked the sushi. They had a terryaki chicken option for the kiddos(who are still not so sure about sushi) and we really enjoyed the rolls we had. The ambiance of the place is also great and if my toddler hadn’t been hangry, I think this would have been an A++++ meal. As it was, Sushi Thai was solid, our kids were less so!

Everything was great sushi was fresh. The Pad Thai was not over powered by peanut taste.

I love this place, the food is excellent, personal favorite is the Sushi Thai roll. My wife likes the PadThai and our kids like the traditional«American» Chinese dishes like sweet and sour chicken. But as solid as the menu is, to us what makes this place special is the friendly service and welcome atmosphere. Even with some turnover in staff I can say after 15+ visits I’ve ever had less then excellent service.

3rd star was for décor. I was initially pleased with my food(I got take out) even though the place was totally empty when I went in. I got pad Thai and it was fresh and hot, until about halfway through. It was literally floating in grease. I couldn’t eat the rest, so disappointed! For $ 12, not really worth going back.

Just flew in from Cali and swung by for sushi. Found out they lost their liquor license… Then they had byob on the menu board. Not really legal so we left. I hope they get this squared away soon because we really like this place.

My husband and I both love sushi. This is a very modern décor restaurant that we both love. And their extensive Thai menu allows us to invite our non sushi loving family and friends to join us for dinner.

Sushi Tai in Pickerington is a family owned operation offering quality authentic culinary delights with unique artisan presentation. It is family friendly with a small bar area. The service is outstanding and Sophia’s attention to quality customer service is exceptional! I have many favorites, but the Shashimi Bento Box 2 is a must for lunch, and if you’re a seafood lover, the Yum Talay is a fresh cool seafood salad served with a light fresh cilantro lemon dressing. A uniquely deliciously spicy appetizer is the Tuna Tar Tar, served on paper thin rice crisps. Their Happy Hour prices are ½ off! Mojitos are very FRESH, and the cucumber martini is a cool libation.

I had dinner here with a friend on a Wednesday evening, and got the BOGO deal… We both eat a lot of sushi, and are picky. No complaints, wonderfully done. I’ll be back again soon, thanks!

I came here several times. I think their rolls were too small compared with other Sushi places. So, I needed to order 2 rolls to satisfy my stomach. I feel their food is expensive. But, their Sushi tastes ok.

One of the best sushi places in Columbus. I order the OH-IO Roll, spicy tuna, yellow tail roll and California Roll. They were all amazing. I loved the OH-IO roll. I came here after soccer and I was super hungry, I ate 10 pieces of sushi and I’m still hungry. That may just be because I had soccer before, but I would eat here again and again.

Since moving to the east side of Columbus for the first time, I find myself struggling to find good, consistently delicious, health department approved places to sit down to eat or order take-out. We decided to stop in to Sushi Thai many months ago to just … see. I was pleasantly surprised with yummy lunch specials with Bento boxes, happy hours full of appetizers and drink specials, and a BOGO ½ off sushi night. They have televisions, a jamming soundtrack made for aggressive chair dancing, non-scary bathrooms, and a friendly, accommodating, attentive crew of servers. I come here often. I bring friends and family often. Awesome. So… My only issue is that sometimes the entrée dishes or signature cocktails I order taste different. They may even be garnished differently. However, if I mention to this to a server, they are very accommodating with fixing the problem. Also, they are not open Mondays. :-( This will not deter me from visiting regularly. I love this place. As a matter of fact, I’ll probably go today. Wednesday is overlapping happy hour — BOGO. That’s a winner.

This was our first time coming here. My husband has been on a sushi kick lately! Anyway the atmosphere here is very modern not casual but you can dress casual, but I don’t really think this is where you want to bring young children(under5). They had no customers when we got there but after we ordered several other couples came in. We got appetizers and saki then we ordered 2 specialty rolls and 2 basic rolls along with seafood Pad Thai. Our bill was $ 90 After the $ 30 groupon $ 60 My husband wasn’t impressed at all he liked Eastern Palace and Fugu better. I felt it was just ok not bad but no reason to go back. We have been ordering variety of items when we go out so we definantly get a good sense of the restaurants items they offer.

This place would’ve only gotten one star if it weren’t for the upscale atmosphere and satisfactory service. I ordered three rolls; spicy salmon, philadelphia, and spicy yellowtail. The rolls came with tons of scallions on them and huge chunks of cucumber in them, which wasn’t explained on the menu. When I asked my server about it, he insisted that even though it doesn’t show on the menu, those items are meant to be on the rolls. Frustrated, I picked the unwanted ingredients out of my roll despite being offered to have the rolls remade(I didn’t have time to wait). When I got the bill, I was surprised to see that all of the rolls were taken off of my bill! All I paid for was the crab rangoon, which was delicious. In a nutshell, sushi was not good(even without the unwanted ingredients in it), but the service was satisfactory.

An amazing atmosphere for a quick night out. We were quickly seated and chose to sit in a booth so we could face the bar. They have multiple televisions to view as you relax with good happy hour priced sake. Their happy hour appetizer prices were very reasonably and were delicious. The quality of the drinks provided was very good too. I would recommend this place for those who want to try something new or just want a place to relax with great food and drinks.

Really GREAT sushi! Beautifully plated. Fresh ingredients. My husband ordered pad thai and loved it. Again, beautifully plated, fresh ingredients. Cocktails were meh. Service was slow, but we discovered they had a waitress call off last minute, so that explains most of it.

When I first walked into the restaurant, I noticed how beautiful the décor was. It looks like a cute and trendy spot to eat, very clean, and a nice inviting feeling. Although the place looked wonderful, the food and drinks weren’t impressive. If I’d make a suggestion, I’d say order from dishes that aren’t traditionally Thai such as pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum, etc. It’s not authentic tasting if that’s what you’re looking for. The tom yum was pretty sweet and reminded me of tomato soup or ketchup… Also, if you didn’t know any better… you’d think the fried noodles were delicious but to one that eats Asian food all the time, you can easily see the noodles look like it is from pre-packed noodles such as ramen or mama noodles. Other than that, I’d stick with the seared salmon dishes, the eka squid salad was very good. I am not even a fan of squid and it was yummy. The portions at this place is relatively small. I ordered the Jalapeño sushi which was pretty good.
