Grand Canyon University Hotel

Pornhub is blocked. I just thought my biggest reason for leaving a bad review first. Second, the tvs are blocked so you can’t plug in game consoles or Apple tvs. And the tv doesn’t have any paid movies, which is the only reason a tv doesn’t work. The wake up call I asked for never came, but luckily the sound of police sirens and construction woke me up HOURS early. My room wasn’t cleaned, even though we asked for it, and there weren’t enough towels for all of us. Also the «pool» is a concrete hole in the ground, although it made a nice home for the feral cat that loved by the hotel. The wall and area nearby made me feel like I was at a FOB in desert storm. The staff was very nice however, and is the only reason I would consider coming back.

Cons: it’s a motel. The doors open to the outside. Continental breakfast is very basic (muffins and cereal). The showers are warm, not hot. The property is still under construction. The area is sketchy, but the property has an armed guard at the entrance. It’s right on the highway, and surrounded by busy roads on 3 sides. Windows have not yet been replaced, so road noise is a problem.
Pros: the staff is awesome. location is close to GCU and only about 15 minutes from downtown. It’s very affordable. Inside the rooms is basic, but comfortable.

Some positives and negatives.
Positive — location in relation to GCU.
Negative — doors to outside, less safe feeling (especially when traveling with young college athletes), no hair dryers in room, no water between 10 am to 5 pm during construction. Shower in our room was definitely a little sketchy.
