I thought I’d write an update since I saw that someone below said that I falsely claimed that the wait list was super long. *tip* Go on
, click on Arizona nursing, and check out the running thread that they have going for time stamps and placement times. #nuffsaid oh and by the way, I’m almost a senior and I’ve been kicking *ss in this program, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. Still four stars from me though, strictly because of the price. Good day, Unilocalers!

If you’re a Military Veteran, the spouse of a Veteran, or even a VA Nurse, Chamberlain College has an amazing Military Dept. All of the counselors are Vets too and they understand the jargon/​lingo. There’s a Military Tuition Rate also that you’ll qualify for if you meet the criteria. Tuition for the Online RN-​BSN goes down almost 30%. Is it expensive, sure… it’s not the cheapest school on the block. However, it IS a single purpose Nursing school, so all the teachers and the Dean are Nursing professionals. I am updating this review after being in the program for another few months. I still won’t call it a great program but it is getting better. Now that we are in the meat of the material and actually learning, it has improved. Scheduling is still stressful every 8 weeks as some people are able to self register and some are not. This is the first block where I was able to self register without contacting my academic adviser concerning some problem. All-​in-​all I would give it 2 ½ stars but that isn’t a choice.

I enrolled in the class on September 2,2014 because the person over the phone told me I still had available time to register and take the math placement test. She never enrolled me for the test so I called back on September 3,2014 and she told me I was misinformed and I no longer have time to take the test. So I dropped out of the courses I was currently enrolled in and the lady over the phone told me I might be charge $ 150 for the student service fee. After A month I logged into my account and saw I was charged $ 406. I called student financing and they explained all different fees I was getting charged for. I informed them that if I was told this from the beginning I would not have dropped the course. He referred me to someone «Higher up» that explained to me that I will still be getting charged $ 406 and the person who spoke to me on the phone the first time was a new person and not aware of what she was doing, and that is the policy regardless of their mistakes I still have to pay $ 406.

I recently graduated from Chamberlain in Phoenix, also with honors (like one of the filtered reviews… check those out), and would not recommend the school to a stranger, much less someone I care about. I also wonder why all of the negative reviews are filtered out.
First of all, scheduling is a mess. The administration is not helpful and they don’t care when they create a problem. I once signed up for a class before other students and didn’t get in when they did. Chamberlain’s fault but they refuse to fix problems that they create. They hold their students to such high standards and make no exceptions to anything, but their professors have emergencies all the time and are allowed to move their deadlines around. They chase their best professors away for standing up for students. Also, they just went from 3 graduations a year to 2, which means that all of the students who were told for a couple of years that hey would graduate on a ceratin date do not get to. My graduation got downgraded to something I wish I would have skipped (that’s how bad it was… Chamberlain’s idea of a compromise) and they now want studnets who finish in February to graduate in June, and students who finish in October to graduate in January. Once again, administration makes up a bunch of excuses as to why and refuses to fix the problems that they create. Lastly, half of your courses are through DeVry, which is a joke. You pay so much money to take courses that you often don’t learn anything from.
So if you don’t mind spending almost $ 90,000 (and tuition goes up A LOT every year) to be frustrated for 3 years, DON’T CONSIDER THIS SCHOOL!

Hi Jolly M, i really agree with everything you said about Chamberlain. It’s really a nice school and i’m earnestly waiting for their call next week as well. I’m so crossing my fingers and believing God for a POSITIVE answer from them.
I’ve told so many people about the school and 3 out of the people i talked to applied to the school and others are yet to apply for Spring 2012.
I’m so excited and I just can’t wait to start school October 24^th 2011. Woahoooo!!! Yaaaaaay!
