Yuck! I feel so sad for Artie, he has no idea how crappy his employees are when he is not there. I needed a plumbing part that I know Larry the plumber could grab. he was more interested to get his smoke on outside then to help a customer or answer his boss when she repeatedly called him. Pooh Pooh on you! This was a three strikes and your OUT. I would drive out of my way to the new value store on Shea, then shop here :( Disappointed 24 yr resident of Paradise Valley.

Ace is the place! Well, this location is, anyway. Friendly staff. Very helpful. I was guided directly to all the various items I needed. There is definitely a difference between the different Ace stores. At some, the employees seem to duck and cover. At this one, employees weren’t hard to find. And, everyone seemed to know exactly where specific items were.

Worse customer service possible, extremely moody employee with a terrible attitude in the post office inside, hree times in a row of awful experience with Thai Ali girl and complained to manager, but was completely ignored. Too bad because I will no longer come back here and will let everyone I know not to go to this location, save them headaches.

TERRIBLE. 90% of their staff have no idea what is going on, mailing times are SUPER long, always. and worst of all, this store is the most cluttered store EVER. you know that uncle you have that should be on an episode of Hoarders? he probably owns this store. like, WHYONEARTH does a hardware store feel the need to sell things like WOMENSJEWLERY??? literally makes no sense if you’re trying to get your wife a nice necklace THISISNOTWHEREYOUGO Home Depot is soooooo much better and staff there is so much more knowledgable.

Larry is the reason I give this store 5 stars. He is super helpful and knowledgable! Saved me headaches by taking the time to understand my need then making recommendations.

I don’t know if the post office employee is run by Ace or what. But I went in there to get a box that the post office gives out for free and also buy 3 stamps. But the bitch behind the counter said I’m only taking cash, cause she must be lazy to process CC so I step out of line to go get cash and came back and people where still in line when I asked if I could get a stamp and a box she said NOPE I’m closed I replied I was just here I went to go get cash. People where still waiting on line where I was So this is what you call a worthless bitch of an employee !!! Customer service Artie hope she doesn’t work for you cause I will make it my mission to keep telling people how inconsiderate of a bitch she is !!! The sad thing is that a lady online said I wish I had a couple stamps I would give it to you !!! ARTIEWORRYABOUTCUSTOMERSERVICE this happen WEDSDEC16

Love this store. My kids love it too. Whomever is the buyer does such a wonderful job of selecting unique and quality non-hardware items. This is more like a general store. It is super convenient not to have to drive all the way to Home Depot or Lowes to grab a light bulb or specialty screw. Prices are fair, unless you want specialty item for which you will pay more. I think the service is spotty and could use either a few more ‘aisle alert buttons’ or wandering staff to help shoppers find items. But I don’t find it any better or worse than the big box stores.

DONOTHAVETHISSTORERESCREENYOURSCREENS. They want payment up front, do a terrible job, and do not stand by their work. Get a professional instead!

They USED to be so friendly and helpful. Now, the floor workers power right past you unless you ask for help. Every single cashier is on her first day of the job. The staff was so friendly and helpful once upon a time. Can’t wait for the new Ace on 32nd& Shea!

Ugh. I really dislike this store. The service is slow and they are always understaffed. Nobody could help me this morning and i was looking for assistance. Then i finally get what i think i need and i head to check out. they had some woman right in front of me returning about 30 – 35 small sprinkler items and as the checkout line is backing up because the return is taking FOREVER… the other staff are not helping. They open another checkout and help everyone behind me… so I eventually have to leave because after standing at checkout for 13 minutes, I’m running late. So I leave my stuff and say I can’t wait any longer. Absurd!!! They flushed my $$ away and I won’t go back.

I have been going to Ace hardware for all of my business and personal needs for years. Great selection and customer service, that is until I visited ardys ace on Tatum and tbird. The worst costumer service I have experienced with ace. I tried to return an item I bought the previous week with the box it came in and the card it was purchased with. They treated me very poorly as if I found the impact drill and wanted cash for it. Never had problems returning items before. I go to Ace just about daily. I work for dutch bros coffee and servent leadership is something we practice everyday. These folks running that store could really learn somethings about treating people as people and not just another transaction. Congratulations Ardy! Lost a loyal ace customer…

The store is convenient and its small enough that you can get in and out of there quickly IF you know where the item you want is located. The layout is so random and the aisles are REALLY narrow. When I don’t know where the item is that I need I find myself wandering forever as I can never find any sales help. On the positive side they have a post office inside which is super convenient,

Bob, the paint manager was beyond helpful and kind. He took the time to explain the different brands and help me find the perfect one. He made samples for me and was extremely helpful. I recommend this location as everyone I encountered asked me if I needed help. Great experience.

25% restocking fee!!! What the heck dude? I needed a new sink washer and I unfortunatly just happened to get the wrong size. I unfortunately damaged the package it came in but didn’t think it was a big deal so I took it back hoping to exchange the washer for a bigger size. They didn’t have what I was looking for so naturally I wanted my money back. The cashier told me she was going to charge me a 25% restocking fee for the«cut» package… are you serious?! It’s a home improvement store, you won’t always get the right thing the first time and to penalize your customers for something such as this is absolutely absurd. I will go out of my way to go to Home Depot or Lowes from now on. Very disappointed!

Decent selection of hardware but also tons of random items. Bring your flare gun and your GPS because this place is laid out like the maze from the movie the Shining and it can be tough to find help.

Called about 10 minutes before they closed for a stock check. The woman who answered the phone told me she would connect me with someone, put me on hold, and then apparently went home for the evening. I’m new to this neighborhood and was trying to avoid shopping at Home Depot. Instead I will be telling anyone who will listen to avoid Ace Hardware whenever possible.

This is definitely the worst Ace Hardware I have ever been in. Employees don’t want to help you and when you push them, they really don’t know anything anyway. I will usually drive past a Home Depot to get to an Ace Hardware. It is the other way around with Artie’s! NOT the home of the helpful hardware man.

This is a great store full of helpful people. These days a lot of us tend to gravitate toward the big box stores, but Artie’s is very competitively priced and the employees are very knowledgeable.

Arties is just great. I love having a smaller, privately owned hardware store close to where I live. They have done a terrific job of making sure that they have most or all of the basics that anyone would want from a hardware store. Then im always drawn to the excellent merchandising for other things that make grest gifts or a little something for yourself! Kudos to whomever does the buying for Arties because these features about the store is what makes it great and definitely worth starting out with before going to the big box stores because chances are, you will find your part, bolt, small appliance or great tools right there. Simple in, items at great prices, no overload on selections. Also Arties is always staffed to the max. Help usually greets you right at the door and escorts to right to where you need to be… complete with good to great knowledge of the products. Sure sometimes I want tons of choices or sonething I know Arties doesnt carry, but 90% of the time, I just shoot into a privately owned, local business owners store who employs a good number of people… and get out fast. But when im not in a hurry, I DO like to browse… I always find plenty of cool items and have a pleasnt time being there.

This ACE Hardware has it all. If you want a blender, some dishes, candles, a Christmas Tree, you name it… they’ve got it. I’ve been in a few times over the duration of my North Phoenix living and I gotta say, Ace is definitely the place!
