We moved into a foreclosed home 1 ½ years ago. We had AZ Spa Tech fix our jacuzzi which needed a bunch of new parts — most of which did not need replacing. We were told that it would cost just a little bit more to replace everything with a 2 year warranty than just to replace the piece that was broken. It made sense to us, so we replaced everything. We spent a lot of money and we were told that the parts had a 2 year warranty. The tech kept talking about that 2 year warranty and how great it is. We have had some issues with them along the way and have not been satisfied with their service, but we continue to use them until our warranty will run out. So far, by the way, nothing has been covered under warranty. Unfortunately our jacuzzi shut off one day while we were in it and it had started pouring down rain. The circuit breaker popped and would not turn back on. We called AZ Spa Tech and they sent a tech out which stated that our parts are not under warranty after all because he thought we put too many chemicals in it. After going back and forth, I called the main office. The woman answered the phone and I asked if she knew who I was and what was going on at my house right now(the tech said he had spoken with her). She said, «Yes, you are the ones with the warranty that is about to expire.» That said it all. They were not going to cover us because our warranty expires in 3 months. She made excuse after excuse, just like the tech. One time she said it was because we were gone for 2 months. I told her that it was 2 weeks, not 2 months, and that our spa was turned off the entire time we were gone. Oh – on to a different excuse. We big too big of a tablet in there. I told her that we use the small tablets and I showed the tech that as well. The big tablet had just been put in there before we left and it had hardly dissolved. I asked her to explain why a «chemical problem» would result in our circuit breaker popping when it rained outside. She admitted that the chemical problem probably didn’t cause the original breakage, but since they feel like there is a chemical problem now, they won’t fix the original problem under warranty. We went around and around and around. It’s simple. They won’t pay for it because our warranty is so close to expiring. My husband went back outside and nicely talked to the technician. The technician confirmed that the owner would call us the following week to come out and take a look himself. I followed up with this conversation by calling the main office back and giving them my husband’s number for the owner to call. It has been 2 weeks and there has been no call or visit from the owner. Unfortunately, it appears as if we will have to take further action. We have paperwork with our estimate that doesn’t say a word about the warranty not covering chemical damage — only after we paid did we get a stamp put on our bill. I’m glad I keep detailed paperwork so that this horrible company won’t bully us again and others. Stay away! There are so many reputable companies that would like to have your business!
