Going on week 15 on these guys on a 8 week maximum shipment. Today they lied to me again. They made a shipping information but today they voided it… or according to ups they do not have the shipment in their possession. I’m very fustrated with ar500. To think customers service was bad it not telling much how they actually care about their customers. Worst than I thought. I’m very angry what has happened to me and wish this doesn’t happen to anyone else. But I probably will see it again. I wrote them a letter to tell them how fustrated I am with them and how they are tossing me around of my dates of shipment. I wish I could give them a no star or even better negative stars for a review. What has happened to my money that I gave them to send me my shipment. I feel like they might be stealing from me. Ar500 needs to have better respect to their customers. Along with better customers service. Along with everything else except their product… which is amazing. accord to the reviews. Please ar500 change your ways.

Going on 12 weeks since I ordered and was originally told 6 weeks. I got an email saying the product was shipped with a tracking number. Through UPS it said my package would arrive by the end of the day on 2−3−16. Package did not come. After some phone calls I found my package was still at the warehouse and would not ship for at least another 5 days. To much hype for poor business service.

I called prior to ordering a scope for my AR from these guys to check on availability and delivery time frame. I was told items ship 2 – 3 days after payment and 3 weeks later my item has still not shipped. It was labeled for shipment 2 weeks after I placed the order, and has been sitting waiting to be given to UPS over a week after the shipping label was created. Every time I call I am told by customer service I should see some movement in the next few days. I will never order anything from these guys again.

Check the delivery destination after you get a tracking number! I’m in CA and they had it set to ship to ID. Called to have that mistake corrected and I received no apology. Also, don’t count on your product being delivered in their said timeframe. The plate carrier and body armor that I ordered for my husband was supposed to be delivered in one day and it took one week to get to us. My husband wants me to note, however, the product met and exceeded his expectations.

Ordered many times from these guys. They always come through. High quality gear, they back it up too. I have spoken to five people here 12 different times. In addition I messed up my address and they stopped selling to run over and fix it, phone was sketchy during move. I have never seen what the other reviewers mention as far as attitude, as they have been nothing but friendly and professional. Highly recommend them.

They fixed my order with in a week I just had to send some pictures through email. I called a few days after i sent my email because I didn’t get any feedback, you just have to call and follow up with them to get them moving on your order. customer support was better this time around.

The wait time was manageable because I planned on a long wait, plates are heavier than I expected, but are worth the cost and once on, are not as heavy as they first seem out of the box. The conceal carrier vest is not very concealed despite numerous shirts and jackets I tried on, especially with the side plates on the carrier. The Velcro sticks up making concealment difficult. The side plates are quite bulky, not being built into the carrier itself. Luckily, you can take them off, but that kind of defeats the purpose of getting them in the first place. I basically have a couple hundred dollar vest I can wear to the range or out hunting, but not for concealment in public as was my original intent. Since there are no stores around me that stock any of the AR500 gear, I bought a Sentry vest as well because it looked like what I thought I wanted in the grainy pictures online. Ensure that you know exactly what you are getting and that it is what you want prior to purchase, because AR500 will NOT allow you to exchange if you are unhappy with your purchase. Despite videos showing plenty of gear in their warehouse, once you buy it, you own it. I would suggest finding a local establishment or vendor to purchase from if you don’t know exactly what you want prior to purchasing. While the prices are reasonable, I now have over $ 700 of unexchangeable gear that I am unhappy with. Despite being told differently when I called to ask questions prior to purchasing online, «No, sir. Once it leaves our warehouse, we don’t exchange. What you bought is what you got.» and being abruptly at that point hung up on by a company I just spent this money with, was not what I expected to experience upon inquiring about exchanging the vest. These actions demonstrate a total lack of customer appreciation or respect. The gear is sturdy, plates are heavy but well worth the money. If u get what you want or think you want, your probably in good shape. Make a mistake ordering, and ur screwed. I would advise doing business elsewhere unless you live in Phoenix or are willing to go directly to the store to ensure you get what you want.

This review is about the customer service experience– not the armor. Well started out as an easy transaction to purchase armor, turned out to be a CUSTOMERSERVICENIGHTMARE — 1. Took too long to receive the armor(I understand the wait and dealt with it) 2. They really should have informed me that I could have bought the armor at their storefront in phoenix when I called– would have been much nicer than waiting 10 weeks. 3. Was supposed to pick up at store front to ensure it would work for my needs AND Was shipped without informing me causing even more of a headache — - then charged me for the shipping when the agreement via email clearly stated I would pick it up 4. Trying to get my refund was like pulling teeth… It’s sad because I had really high hopes to do business with ar500, I decided to buy elsewhere and will probably not come back to ar500 as a customer :-/

I am giving one star not because of the product they offer. I have reviewed their products on their website and given favorable reviews. This company offers a great product, at fair prices. The one star is simply the complete lack of accurate production lead times on their inventory. I am currently still waiting for plates i ordered in September! When i places the order the lead time was 5 weeks, on the 5th week they bumped it up to 6 weeks, on the 6th week they bumped it up to 7 weeks. On the 8th week i sent an inquiry and was told about 2 more weeks, and now that 2 more weeks have passed, still nothing. At this point i am beginning to wonder what will; stop them from never shipping my order. I feel that the company owes it to their customers to adhere to the times they post online when the order is placed. If i had known this was going to take three month i would have spent a little more and ordered through another company. I highly doubt i will be spending any more money with AR500 until they get a better handle on their production,
