I can’t believe that no one has reviewed this location. I was there last weekend for a symposium and it was undoubtedly one of the best retreat experiences of my life. The property is very clean, rustic, and secluded. I had the fortune of being housed in one of the large lodges, with a private room. The room was quite modest, as was the shared laboratory. It is necessary to bring toiletries and a few very basic camping items. If you like enhanced camping this is a very nice in-between option. Other options for tent living are available too if you or others in your party like«roughing» it. The common areas are very comfortable, clean and roomy. There’s ample outdoor space for meetings, eating, exploring, and enjoying a campfire. The river is accessible by trail and beautiful wildlife gently shares the grounds. Our group utilized the onsite kitchen and the staff did a wonderful job catering to a gluten free/vegan menu. The food was plentiful and tastier than most places that cater to healthy food choices. The staff was very friendly but non-intrusive and the owner was extremely pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend this location if you desire a natural setting with some very useful comforts. Personally, I look forward to returning in the future whenever possible.
