The food was Great!!! Best fried catfish I have ever eaten in my life. The reason for the 3 stars is that we Tried going 3 times after the first time and they have been closed. Does anyone know why?

Not quite ready for prime time. I came here because of a Groupon. Saturday afternoon, not too busy. Took almost 30 minutes to get two burgers and fries — looks like the cook ran the orders backwards so everyone that came in after us got theirs first. My medium burger came out well done. On a chili cheese frito burger, they put the chili on one side and fritos on the other, so instead of sticking together everything fell out. Bun was fresh. Lettuce was fresh. One bottle of ketchup left in the entire store for everyone to share. Soda machine out of order, so they gave out cans instead. Restaurant dilapidated and floor dirty with food from prior guests. Still shared space with«The Spot,» which can’t be good. At least I saw the cook cleaning the grill… I know why they’re using Groupon now though and will come back before they go out of business and I lose my money. I’ll just make sure I have two hours to spare and I’m hungry enough to overlook the quality issues.

I loved Moonies then it changed to a soul food place. We tried that and it was TERRIBLE. The wait was a ridiculous 45 minutes and it was two hamburgers with fries. When it went back to Moonies we rejoiced however it is not the normal Moonie’s anymore. The menu changed and it looks like a half Moonies half soul food menu. Who ever is doing the cooking is awful. We got one burnt burger and one really greasy one after 30 minutes when it was slow… there was one person ahead of us and two behind us. We got ours last. I miss the original Moonies and their staff!

We were very excited to see«Smoke and Soul» was gone and Moonies was back. We tried to go on Monday Nov 22015 and again Friday Nov 6th2015. On Monday we found they closed at 3. Since their hours aren’t posted anywhere we were surprised to see them closed when we rolled up around 5:30PM. So we left disappointed but said we’d try again soon. We decided to try again Friday with our groupon deal we had. But we found out quickly that they were out of grain burgers(my wife is vegetarian) so she tried to get a salad. However when my kid asked for chicken strips and they said they were out we decided to try another day rather than pick second favorites today. So we left disappointed AGAIN. On our way out someone asked about the groupon and such. I said we couldn’t use it because there was nothing my wife or kid wanted to eat there that day. He must have been an owner or manager as he started telling me chicken is hard to get and expensive due to avian flu and a few other tales. I’m not sure we’d want to try again. I wish our groupons worked at the one at 183!
