Calvary Chapel of Austin

although i only go for the fight crew for fun and also to help teach this is a very nice church everybody is very friendly i have become friends with many of the people there also the youth pastor olé turley has become a very good friend to you should definatley check this place out.

I have been attending Calvary Austin (now located in Pflugerville) for more than 10 years.
I am a person who desires to be taught the word of God in a straight forward no nonsense approach. You won’t be getting a watered down sermon here. You won’t be getting yelled at here either. What you will receive is teaching that is completely aligned with the word of God and in a caring, thoughtful, relevant and yes, a very truthful message. .
They have a wonderful youth program with dedicated staff teaching in a separate youth area. There is also a very nice children’s area with expert staff that can attend to every need.
The worship music is more contemporary with a mix of older hymns from time to time as well. It is not hard hitting rock style but more aligned with songs you can sing along with.
Come as you are. People wear anything from suits to blue jeans and all are well received by our friendly greeters that meet you at the door.

I haven’t gone to church in over 2 years, today I decide to accepted my parents invite to attend their church. I like to think of myself as more spiritual then religious so of course I’m a little reserved when it come to attending church due to experiences growing up attending church and my different views. On arrival they have ushers at the door to greet you, it felt very good to be welcomed. I signed my kiddos into class and someone was there to greet me and show me around which was very nice (wish I could of gotten her name) the older kids have their own domain where they have worship. My son who is in kindergarten was afraid at first, but after assuring him I would be there to pick him up after he relaxed and joined the other kids.(he had a great time) I was also able to leave my infant in a class with other infants but I needed to feed her so it was nice to know that they had a available room to nurse her with a tv provided to watch the sermon. They have everything that you would need a bassinet, play pin w/​toys, a place to change her, extra diaper, boppy, lounging chairs that rocked. Towards the end of the service the same young lady that had helped me before came to inform me that my 2 year old had a potty accident. Thank god I came prepared for something like this but if I wasn’t they have extra clothes and a pull up available for me. Over all I was very pleased with my experience here not only from members of the church but also the message that I received from the service. Another thing I like attire is very causal. Just wanna say thank you!

I love this church. The Pastor Terry Michaels is refreshingly approachable, loving and committed to teaching from the Word of God. I could go on and on about the various ministries. I’m a bit jealous that I’m not a teenager. The Youth Pastor Olé Turley obviously loves Jesus and the kids he leads. It is evident the kids love him too.
This church is located on Pecan St in Pflugerville. Parkfield is their old location.
