This place was fantastic. Excellent beer selection — I went with a flight of 4 for $ 10. I had the burger which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Many places that have such a great beer selection rely on that to bring people in. We found their food to be just as good if not better. Wife had a blackened chicken sandwich. Incredibly moist, fantastic flavors. Both our dishes came with a side of homemade potato chips that were also incredible. Our service was a bit on the slow side but nothing terrible. The rest of the tables seemed to be moving along just fine. Will be back for sure.

They like Jalapenos! We had the chicken noodle soup, white chicken chili, pretzels with jalapeño beer cheese (not spicy), and the hard cider pork shoulder sandwich with tater tots. All average. All cool not warm nor hot like you’d expect on a cool night. First observation, made in China siracha… Come on, we want the real California thing. Good atmosphere, Christmas party going, everyone having a good time. Great wait staff!

Everything is house made (food) the blackened chickens sandwich is awesome! So is the house burger. Get a beer flight too they have a wide selection. Oh and it’s kid friendly too! My seven year old loved her cheese burger.
For my second visit I had a mango beer. Definitely a beer geared toward women or those who like sweet fruity beers. I was looking for something new and loved it!

While I was in Petoskey my buddy and I where looking for something fun to do which Led us into Tap 30. What a phenomenal selection of beers and some very good food. We happen to show up during a tap takeover from New Holland Brewery. We both are IPA lovers and found an Awesome selection.
I ate the Cuban Sandwich wrap which I highly recommend it was great.
If you are up in this part of Michigan and want to get away from all the stuffy and snotty old people find your way into this place. The atmosphere was really nice. The service was very friendly and helpful. I give this place a two thumbs up

Visited Tap 30 for lunch during busy summer time. There were a couple of big groups, so it took a bit to get waited on. They probably could have used just one more person to wait tables, as there were only two people covering all of the tables.
I ordered the Cuban, which I actually really contemplated because it’s a wrap and I usually prefer it served on bread. But it was actually pretty good! The pork was amazing. My dining partner had the totchos and they were GOOD. There was actually another entrée of pork tacos that I would have liked to try too.
The beer selection was really good. I enjoy ciders and beer with a bit of fruit or honey flavor and they had many to choose from.
Oh! We also had small children with us and they were very accommodating.
Tap 30 was my first choice of restaurants in Petoskey that I wanted to try and it did not disappoint.

Places like this is hard to screw up in my books. Once you get a place that has good craft brews served from clean tap lines served in the right style of glasses you are already a 4 out of 5 for me. The thing that made it a 5 was the food, it has awesome creative food more along the lines of what you would expect at a gastropub in a large city not a smaller one like Petoskey. If I had to make one complaint it would be that the server clearly did not like us when we first sat down, though I will admit (having worked in service myself) I would have not liked us either, we where a mediocre party and where a pain to get situated and organized. But after a few rounds she warmed up and was much more friendly and took great care of us.

The set-up is great. The décor is cool and I love love the digital menus. Gives you name of beer, type, where is from, how big the pour is, what it comes in and how much it costs. also shows how much of it is left in the keg!
Food…meh. Would not probably eat there again. Wings are forgettable, sweet potato fries have too much cinnamon sugar on them, and I lived in Korea so it’s not fair to judge their Korean bbq sliders.
Staff is A1. My server was a gem and the guy working with her was great too, but that manager, he’s odd. I could do without him.
I’d go back. but for away from the bar so I didn’t have to converse with him.

This is a classy beer bar that spices up the Petoskey bar scene. We’ve been here twice so far. While the menu may be brief, it has many items that go really well with their beers. We had totchos both nights – I highly recommend! The wings, salads, mac & cheese, quesadilla, and sliders were all really, really good! My favorite slider was the Korean bbq slider, sweet but spicy.
But what I love most about Tap 30 is their wide range of beers or draft combined with reasonable prices. I like that they have an icon next to each beer indicating how much of the keg is left, and they serve each beer in its appropriate glass. Bonus for the Monday night deal: $ 1 off drafts and 10% off food.
The staff is friendly and knowledgable. It’s a cool environment to enjoy a beer and good food, much different from some stiffer joints in Petoskey.
