Super 8 Hotel Petoskey

good stay. lots of little thing very pleased with. soap dispenser at bathroom sink and shower, nice lazy boy that is electronic, able to lift you up and out if you are elderly. huge bathroom. very clean, and quiet. nice view from room s facing Little Traverse bay. nice added touch is fresh baked cookies for guests. beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. free breakfast with waffles, and sausage gravy and lots in between.

Pleasantly surprised.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, nice rooms. Pool and hot tub were perfect and are available 24 hours a day.
Continental breakfast had all the cold items you would expect along with waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, cheese omelette, hot oatmeal, yogurt, coffee and all kinds of juice.
Reasonably priced for the area.
We will be back.

Due to poor and late planning for a friends wedding, I found myself checking into the Super 8 in Petoskey for the bargain price of $ 170 a night…
I wasn’t expecting much from the place so I could look past the stained sheets, leaky faucet, and towels as absorbent as sandpaper. However, as I nestled in my bed exhausted after the 4 hour drive from Detriot, I glanced up to the ceiling to find something I could not overlook.
Seems the room had an infestation of blood thirsty native petoskian Mosquitos on the ceiling… Ended up attempting to avoid their attacks all night.
I recommend if you find this is the last hotel in town with an open room, just sleep in the car.

Have stayed at this hotel for 20 years, but just spent the weekend there, and had things and money stolen from the room for both days. I called the General Manager to report the theft, and he acted crazy and hung up on me. I am a 50 year old mom, and I expected some concern and professionalism. If you stay here, be prepared to have things taken out of your room. I recommend that Hampton Inn, where I have also stayed. This is unfortunate, but I would never feel safe here again.

It’s cheap! The owner is friendly! They have a pool!
We were here for a wedding nearby. The pool and hot tub area are spacious and had plenty of room for 30 of us to hang out. The rooms are fairly no frills, although some of them have fridges and microwaves. This isn’t a fancy resort and you’re not going to get 5 star service, but if you’re looking for a room at a decent price this could be your jam.
