Dripworks

This coffee shop was not quite what I expected but perhaps I didn’t research it enough. Make no mistake this is not a food food coffee shop with fancy flavors. If you like your coffee black then this is the place for you. I ordered the Pepe azul with lavender but I had to request the creamer. In my opinion the coffee is good and it has a nice atmosphere. Being from Denver it just wasn’t what I expected. I love trying new things but when it comes to coffee I guess I’m a little picky.

This is a wonderful place! It’s very quiet and had delicious items. The pastries are beautiful and remind me of the ones Denmark has in their coffee shops. Very friendly staff and the coffee is great!

Fantastic customer service, coffee, and baked goods. Everything comes out perfect and the people working there seem like they truly care about your satisfaction. Delicious espresso drinks without the snobbery or hipster attitude that so often comes with it in similar coffeehouses downstate. I always feel welcome.

I was in the area for work, and drip works was recommended to me by some folks I was working with. The look of place was awesome. Whoever designed the shop gets a definite A plus. I was greeted almost immediately by an extremely friendly barista who quickly took my order, which was a definite bonus as I was in a bit of a rush.
As for the coffee itself: obviously they cared about the coffee, and it was very good. I ordered the house iced coffee and definitely enjoyed what I was drinking. My one issue and the reason for 4 stars is the price. I got a 10 oz coffee for $ 3.82. While the coffee was absolutely much better than what you would get at Starbucks or a similar chain I have a hard time justifying paying 50 cents more for less than half of the drink. I think I could have justified it if it was a cold brew, but for a house iced coffee, it seemed a bit overpriced.
Ultimately I will definitely visit again when I am in town for work. I didn’t try the food which looked tasty and will be a must on the next trip.

I love this place! It’s a hip big city style coffee shop with all the perks of a small town.
The staff are great– very friendly, knowledgeable and I’ve noticed they take the time to remember people’s names which I LOVE.

A coffee lovers must stop. Exceptional service, quality food and drinks and cozy modern atmosphere. Well worth the stop and price.

When walking through the quaint little town of Petoskey you pass a series of little privately owned places to grab a fresh brewed coffee. Nothing compares to dripworks. The workers are kind and helpful and the food. Oh the Food! It’s wonderful. Natural. Home made. Loved. The owners thought up this really cool concept and built the place with their own hands and you can tell there’s love in this place.
Best hibiscus lavender tea ever! Actually, best tea! Better than tea I’ve had in Singapore!
This place is just a must.

Can’t believe this place is located in little Petoskey. It’s ahead of its time in regards to the local scene — but I’m sure glad it’s here. Make it a point to come visit, order a siphon & frittata, make camp at a booth and enjoy your morning or afternoon.

This is your place if you want a really great cup of coffee, it is not is not your place if you are looking for really foofy coffee drinks. It is also the place to try your coffee brewed in ways you may have never tried. Not only do they have the pour over, but the siphon method is wonderful and interesting to see done. The staff was very nice and took the time to explain the different brewing processes to this novice. We will be back every time we are in town.

Could belong in a city. it’s a super hip, sleek atmosphere with welcoming local feel; clean ingredients, friendly staff. Check it out.

Great coffee. Great environment. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The ambiance was so good people were actually reading in there.

Went to get coffee there yesterday, National Coffee Day, and it wasn’t open. Unfortunately they have been closed more times then they’re open; the two times I’ve been there it’s great! I want to give it a better rating, but I can’t because I haven’t been able to try more than a couple coffees and pastries.

Everything I’ve had here at Dripworks has been delicious! I usually opt for the Pain au Chocolat because it’s the best chocolate croissant I’ve had! They use a dark chocolate and the ratio of chocolate to croissant is spot on. When I went today they were out of them, but I decided on a morning bun instead. Not a bad choice at all! They use the croissant dough with cinnamon, sugar and orange blossom. Just the right hint of orange to be able to taste it but not be overwhelming. Enough about the pastries. The coffee drinks are excellent and I must confess that sometimes when I’m up north visiting I’ll make the 45 minute drive to Petoskey from Gaylord just for a cappuccino from this place! Local milk, madcap coffee, fresh and organic ingredients what more could you ask for?

Coffee at its finest– a truthful, sincere and artesian quality coffee house. Dripworks does not stop at their creative coffee– their breakfast menu and their pastries (both sweet and savory) are delicious and creative– not to mention of the highest quality ingredients. Appeasing to both coffee enthusiasts and coffee newbies– dripworks is one of the finest I have been to.

Love great coffee… more than the Starbucks run of the mill? They use Madcap beans; so that immediately says they are serious about coffee.
We found this place on Saturday morning… and again on Sunday morning.
The siphon coffee was excellent, and the baked goods of various sorts are incredible. If you want a simple breakfast, their food will be more than sufficient.
Again, the coffee and espresso drinks are amazing!

Excellent coffee (in my opinion the best in town). Lovely, rustic-​metropolitan décor. Friendly staff. Well-​curated selection of cofee-​centric items for purchase (the Japanese pour-​oversystem, etc).
Good things take time, though, and getting a coffee takes absolutely for EVER — budget at least 20 minutes for an espresso to go.

We walked by Dripworks on a Monday evening and knew we had to make a return visit Tuesday morning. Peeking in the windows, we were intrigued by the minimalist décor and interesting coffee machines. We swung by the next day and each tried a wonderful pour over coffee. The staff/​owners were quite a delight and explained to us the options and methods of the coffee preparation. The coffee itself was absolutely amazing. The prices for the amount of coffee was also very reasonable.
My only wish is that Dripworks was located where I live! We only had one chance to visit during our vacation, but I hope to make a return stop next time I’m up north. Coffee snobs from out of town should definitely stop into Dripworks to get an excellent brew.
