Friends of the Petaluma Riverfront

Remember cruising down the river with my brothers and sister in my dad’s Skip Jack, excited to see the Blue Angels in the bay.
Ah, memories…
Yeah it’s a little murky, well more than a little, but it’s definitely a river that can transport you away from cityville & into the great outdoors. There is a nice little park that edges southeast of the marina where you can view some pretty majestic water fowl and contemplate life. Some decent fishing spots here as well. If you have a boat or kayak, you can nail some stripers on this river. I have better chances in the evenings and mornings, less so in the heat of the day. I like to use shad or night crawlers, heard some people use live mud suckers too.
