This is a truck stop. The motel looks like a truck stop. It is dumpy. The entrance foyer looks like the back entrance of a mom and pop store. The dirty, beat up furniture has seen better days. The lazy boy chair has clearly held a lot of dirty bodies. The breakfast was all pre packaged foods — nothing fresh, like fruit.
I hope I don’t have to stay here again.

ok if stuck in a storm. ok as Super 8 goes. TV did not work. hallways reek of smoke. Should cost $ 59 but charge $ 80. be better if eliminate smoke 100%. offer a little «mini– store» w beer and snacks. Mound City is kind of a monkeys armpit. Room was clean. nice to have fridge and mwave but nothing in town to eat or dink to use it.

Don’t understand what she is talking about. Great staff very clean and every thing was as good or better than some $ 100.00 plus places we’ve stayed at. Didn’t smell of smoke or pet and was a pleasant place to stay for the night. Keep up the good work 8 and we’ll keep coming back. Oh and motel 6 (lol)

I don’t understand the bad review. This hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly. We stayed with our three dogs. Out the back door is large grassy area and field that is convenient to let dogs stretch their legs and not worry about traffic. Location is behind truck stop and we figured it would be loud but we never heard any truck noise. Hotel was packed and we didn’t notice any noise between the walls. We were pulling a loaded trailer and had no problem negotiating the parking lot. We would stay here again.

Terrible. Terrible. Dangerous area. Bed smelled like sweaty, smokey, crusty man trucker and there were hairs everywhere. The remote to TV didn’t even work along with half of the lights. Too expensive as well. Go to a motel 6.
