Keep in mind, I was at the peak of strep throat when I had to go pick up my UBox. I’m pretty disappointed with the services based on how much I paid. I had a UBox packed in another state and brought here for me to pick up and unload. Supposed to be a pretty easy process. I called ahead to let them know I was coming that day and to have it ready to hitch to my vehicle. When I got there they had a long line, that took forever. Phones ringing off the hook and only one guy at the front. I waited to the side forever while other people were helped because they needed something that took less time. There were a couple guys working on my box outside and couldn’t figure out what they were doing. The head guy finally had to go out and help once he was done with everyone. I was probably there for over an hour… sick, and freezing. It was such a cold day too. They wanted me to stand outside and check some things out… miserable. Returning that day took forever too. The guys were nice, but just too slow. Not only was that whole process long and annoying the box took longer to ship than it was supposed to and they broke my padlock so I had to cut it off. Some things in my boxes ended up broken too. I paid way too much money to deal with all that crap. Not impressed.

U-​haul in Peoria screwed me up badly a few years ago. I reserved a truck to move my household to another part of Peoria. I went to pick the truck up and they told me that the manager had taken the keys home with him. They couldn’t find him. He wouldn;t answer his phone. I had people waiting for me at my house. I was there for over an hour. They had a bunch of trucks sitting there and when I asked about those I was told that they were one-​way trucks and coudn’t be rented out except to one-​way customers. I just stood there and they did nothing for me. Finally, I asked them what they were going to do since I reserved a truck. And they said, «Sometimes life isn’t fair». I finally had to go to another place and rent a truck. It was a Saturday so I was lucky. I’ve haven’t trusted them since. And I never will. Customer service is at the bottom of their priority list. Never again.

This place is great. I’ve rented trucks of different sizes from them three times. Each time the people there have been helpful and nice. Once, the truck that I reserved wasn’t available, so they gave me the next available size up at the rate of the smaller one.
Sometimes you have to wait a little bit in line when they’re busy, but they’ve always been working as quickly as possible to help everyone.
