Brush with greatness! When I last stopped by in November(his last month, he and the clerk and the window sign noted), Stan was having a closing down sale. The store was pretty empty, but, ahem, I later found that the closing down sale had been going on for 4 months( ). I thought, heck, why not help him retire, he’s nice, and help myself as well? Win-Win, and with the wine quality, win-win-win. When I emptied my boxes at home and googled the prices, the half price I got on most of what I bought, was in fact just market rate(e.g, from ), and the prices labelled on on the bottles were twice as high as retail(for the most part, a few bottles were 20% off retail). Stan noted that«I was stealing the shirt off his back». I’m not sure that what he said was the truth, I fear. The truth, however, does explain why the store was empty of customers and not wine, and why the clerk helping Stan gave me odd looks like from The Wicker Man. I really don’t know what to make of this behavior, given I know what I paid, and I know what Stan said, and I know what multiple sites list as the retail prices. The bonus, is that in googling Stan Korman, I found out he used to be married to Susan G., the xxxx ribbon foundation woman(not founder, for obvious reasons), the foundation with the alleged aggressive lawsuits. So, in addition to learning to check prices on even going out of business sales, I got a brush with a certain type of greatness! Unilocal notes he is open today! Good luck to ya.

I’m a very picky wine drinker. Stan recommend a moscato to me. He said it was the best wine they had, and boy was he right! I can’t wait to try another one that he recommends. Everyone should go meet Stan, he is a very knowledgeable and down to earth.
