I have only ordered take out at the Tuscan Oven. The pizza is pretty good, but I order a head of time and still have a 20 to 30 minute wait for the pizza.

I have been looking for good Italian food in Pensacola for some time. We finally got to try the Tuscan Oven. First I want to say that the service is outstanding. Even though we arrived at about 5:15p, it was crowded. However, we were seated immediately and the server took out drink order within minutes. Drinks and food arrived within reasonable times. Servers were very attentive. The Tuscan salad was wonderful. My husband ordered the linguine and clam sauce. The clams were small, but there were many. And they were nicely cooked and tender. I had the eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant was breaded and then deep-fried which I did not care for. It gave the eggplant a greasy flavor. Afterwards the eggplant and pasta are baked. As a result some of the eggplant got over cooked and burnt. It might have been better if it had been baked for a bit less time. Overall we had a wonderful meal and evening. We will return to try other offerings.

There was 10 of us and the server had no problem splitting the check. I had the Dabato and it was amazing. Every bite was full of juicy flavorful toppings. We came an hr away and plan on making a trip back there.

Excellent food. Today my mom and I decided to go out, we wanted real authentic Italian food and found what we were looking for at Tuscan oven. We had the pasta with meatball. One thing I look for in Italian food is the appearance of the food. I was not disappointed. It was a very dark red, thick sauce. Not like the sauce you get in other places. Real Italian pasta sauce is full of colors. It was very fresh so when the owner came to our table I wanted to confirm it was cooked the same day. Her response did not disappoint me. It is absolutely fresh ingredients! When I took a bite I was immediately taken back to my times at Italian food places back east. It is not very Americanized Italian food so be aware you are getting the real deal. Check this place out! We will be back.

They are quick to seat you, even when they are busy! Beautiful dining room & outside seating area. Excellent wood grilled pizza — very thing is fresh and the sauce is amazing. Any pizza is great, meatballs appetizer is good, salads are so fresh and crispy. Great wait staff, very friendly. There are other good places for pizza in Pensacola, but I won’t go anywhere else now — I’m sold!

Bad: My wife, son and I waited for about 3 to 4 minutes before the hostess showed up. She did took us to our table. We waited several more minutes before our waitress came to our table. She apologized. This was a Saturday afternoon around 230. There were only two other couples in the restaurant. Good: pizza. We each ordered a 10 inch pizza. They were delicious. Waitress was very nice and attentive once we were acknowledged. First impressions. We’ll be back at some point though it was off putting initially.

Pizza is pretty good! I am not difficult customer at all, but the service was not that great. The food made up for it though!

You know… probably not my favorite pizza. The Bianca had great crust, but the cheese was a little rubbery. The appetizer was good amd so was the atmosphere. But I was disappointed with the pizza.

Great pizza! We tried this place the Wed. night before Thanksgiving, so it was a little crowded. We had to wait for about 15 minutes for a table, but it was worth it(even though we had our 2 young kids with us). Decent, but not great wine list, which was reasonable priced. The pizza was expensive, but the low cost of the drinks made up for it. There’s not a kids menu, but there are options for kids, plus a loud enough atmopshere for little ones. I was only in town visiting for the holidays, but would definitely recommend this place!!! If I lived close by, I would be a regular! I originally gave this 5 stars, but after the second visit amended it to 4, based on poor service both times.

The food was good but the service was terrible. I had a young man that waited on me that pretty much ignored me the entire meal. I was by myself, so I guess he figured that he would receive a larger tip from a bigger group. Very disappointing! I probably won’t be back!

We order our food to go. The host was very friendly and helpful. The kids had pizza that received no complaints from two picky eaters. I had clams and linguine that was also great. I just forgot to ask for parmesan cheese which would have given them a higher score.

Good food. Nice place with nice owners. It seems to get busy so be prepared or go early. Even if it’s busy it’s worth the wait. Eat local !

Great pizza and was very fast because it wasn’t busy. Staff was super friendly too! The white pizza was my favorite. OMG! We got the meatball appetizer and it came with two topped with ricotta cheese. Gotta try this place!

My real vote is 2.5 stars. Here’s why: the«garden» salad dressing tasted like buttermilk poured straight out of the carton with no seasoning. The eggplant parmesan that was purportedly«light» fried was deep fried and swimming in grease. It is battered in unseasoned tempura batter so it’s very reminiscent of a funnel cake. The eggplant itself was soggy and flavorless– as an eggplant parm cook myself, it was clear they didn’t salt the eggplant first to draw out the extra moisture. That comes on top of some very average fettuccine noodles with a fresh — tasting red sauce. Very disappointing when you can make the same meal at home but make it taste much better! Now for the pizza I give 3.5 stars. The crust was excellent(crispy and chewy and flavorful). The meat pizza was loaded with delicious crispy meat and wasn’t too greasy. My only qualm was that the spinach ricotta had literally no traces off ricotta and tiny specks of spinach and an overload of mozzarella(when you order a spinach ricotta pizza, those ingredients should be the main stars!!!) Not sure if I would go back. Really wanted to like the place!

I was just excited to see a wood fired oven… I almost didn’t care how the food tasted(JUSTKIDDING!!). It was dinner and a show! The teamwork among the staff here was better than synchronized swimmers(no offense: P). They make the pizzas right in front of your faces… cook it in front of you… and if you’re super lucky like us, have one of the frickin owners even serve it to you! We watched this guy bust azz right alongside his crew making a gazillion pizzas and other Italian dishes. He helped me take pictures of the wood fired oven and then he shook our hands and joked with us. It wasn’t until my bff point-blank asked him if he was one of the owners, that Ted joked with us that it was really his wife who owned the establishment! Such a great guy and fantastic quality food at The Tuscan Oven ^_^

We were expecting a good meal based on the high Unilocal reviews, but we were surprised by just how amazing our meals were, as well as the large portions. My veggie Tuscan sandwich(onions, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, provolone and mozzarella) was served on a delicious, chewy flatbread that I believe was baked in the restaurant’s brick oven. The other dish we ordered, meatball and pasta, was also exceptional. It’s always nice to discover a restaurant that becomes a favorite like this one has for us. The food, the service, the atmosphere were lovely. Can’t wait to return.
