I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS PLACE YEARS AGO! Absolutely «the best» meats around. Extremely knowledgeable butcher Who has never been wrong about every suggestion he has given me for different occasions. For example, I wanted to try the most expensive cut of meat called «Waygu» and he talked me out of it! And explained that unless you are trying to impress someone special with «without a doubt the best steak quality»… Go with Prime… «It’s almost as good for much less money». And he was dead on… Needless to say his Prime steaks would be considered Waygu any where else… Also, REAL chicken without antibiotics /​steroids /​or artificial additives… (In other words the right size… Small and tender)… And this business is run by a wonderful family who greets you and wants to sincerely help you find what you want AND what you never dreamed was possible. I did try the Waygu steaks when my mother in law came into town and even she said it was the best steak she had ever tasted… Pretty solid compliment coming from an 80 year old lady who has eaten a few steaks in her life… I can’t say enough about this gem of a meat store… Don’t take my word for it … Do yourself a favor and become a regular here transforming yourself into a «Master Cook» at home. Your friends will wonder how you cook «the best «steaks /​chicken /​hamburgers /​bacon /​etc.

Great product! I just wish they had things in stock! The chalk board that they use to say what they have is outdated. I asked about several different cuts that were advertised, but alas, they were out. I had to stick mostly to the freezer section :(I was able to get some «about 22» day old, dry-​aged New York Strip steaks. The «butcher was unsure of the exactly the age. Not really what you want to hear from someone who charges these prices… I am from somewhere that has a ton of old school butchers that knew what they were doing. This place did seem to be like somewhere hipsters would go, and that saddens me. I feel that it should not be on the board if it is not in stock and the product should be well known by the personnel working. I would come back just to see if they stepped it up or not. My future review will reflect.

We went here because of the great reviews. Very disappointing. There’s a bad smell hits you when you walk in. The prices were extremely high, except for the brown/​green meat that was marked down. Maybe the meat tastes amazing and is worth the excessive cost, but it didn’t impress me enough to try it. I couldn’t stand to be in the building for more than 5 minutes. Definitely not what we expected.

My wife and I have been hearing nothing but amazing things about The Butcher Shoppe. We decide to go see what all the hype was about. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a polite young man and asked if we needed any help. Every employee we walked by was eager to help and very knowledgeable about their products. The selection is surpassed by none anywhere close to Pensacola. The quality of products is clearly visible from the moment you see them. I will not be purchasing meats from any other place now.

Excellent service, friendly proprietors and superb product. I was happy to finally stumble upon a locally owned butcher after buying from the big box stores my first few months here in PCola. The shop appears to be a father and sons team. I have bought numerous cuts of beef, pork and whole chickens here and have been very pleased. Don’t see the exact cut or weight you want? Don’t hesitate, the guys behind the counter will drop whatever they are doing, advise and then deliver exactly what you came there for. They are also open 7 days a week! It’s a little far for me to drive, but it’s well worth it. Great job guys.

Great meat at a decent price and a friendly staff. I bought a whole rib eye roast, they sliced half the roast into 1″ steaks for me and it was the best rib eye that I have ever tasted. I will buy all my meat there.

Great place to shop for quality meat for a great price! A butcher shop worth going to for great meats! I don’t think there is any other place like this in Pensacola! Love it!!!

I really like these people, not only are they super friendly, but very professional. I went in and requested a certain cut of meat, a 2 inch thick tee bone. My friends at the Butcher Shoppe gave me a quick education on the difference of a Tee Bone to a Porter House. The Porter House one out, The Butcher Shoppe did an excellent job and won me over.
There nice people, they know there stuff, and you won’t find prices like there’s at Publix, or cuts and grades of meats like there’s.
