Miller’s Pensacola Ale House

This is my 100^th review, so I wanted it to be for a place that I really enjoy going. I’ve been to Miller’s Ale House three times since moving to Pensacola and I am seriously thinking about moving to get closer to it, okay and my job :-)
I cant really place my finger on why I like this place so much, the beer selection isn’t great, not many IPA’s to choose from (not bad for he south though), I’ve only had appetizers and the calamari is delicious, even reheated, but I think it just reminds me of home. Its cozy and I never feel weird sitting at he bar alone. Sometime soon I am going to have a meal here, maybe when I move closer… and then I will update my review, maybe it will be my 150^th by then :-)

I can’t comment on how the food was because we never got to try it. We were traveling from out of town with our dog, so we called ahead to make sure they had outdoor seating and allowed dogs. We asked if they had outdoor seating, yes. Do you allow dogs, yes. When we got there to tell them how many people we said two and a dog. The hostess said we don’t allow dogs. When I said I called and asked she said it could have been a server and mangers don’t allow dogs when it’s busy. It was very inconvenient as we called to check and then we were already there and they said no. The staff wasn’t rude but please establish some set standards to not inconvenience people.

Great food! Great place to get comfortable with your friends or family, and they have fire pits on an outdoor patio… which I love!

Tried eating here three different times and every time but one we had bad service. The food was nothing special. Had a blackened steak that was burnt not blackened. Won’t be back!

Sometimes I wonder why I keep going to places like this and expecting something different. 10 minutes to be greeted, another 7 to get our beer. Waited 15 minutes for our game to be turned to a tv that we were sitting in front of. Chicken nachos? My question was where the chicken was? My overall review: whatever. Literally, whatever.
Side note: folks, they DO sell pitchers!!! You might not notice until you and your partner buy 2 individual beers each and see someone get a pitcher. Then ask the bartender about it and be told «oh ya, I’m a little spacey sometimes.» I suggest the space cadet get her shit together.

Fantastic place! Food was great and staff was better. Had to kill a few hours before my flight and they left me alone to work, but also remained attentive to my needs. I sat on the patio by the fire, made phone calls and accomplished more work than I could have in most places like this. I would recommend to locals or visitors alike! My server, Laura, was awesome!

From the outside the restaurant looks trendy and exciting, inside the restaurant is a locals stop. Both my and my husband’s food was not edible. We sent back our entrees and settle for salads.
Our server was great but will never go back or recommend this restaurant. Food also took forever.

Great food! the boom boom shrimp has just the right kick. On a scale of 1 – 10, probably a 4 – 5. The mashed potatoes were amazing. If you can sit in Kelly’s section, you will have a blast! She is an awesome server and hilarious!

We have ate here a couple of time with our 2 kids. We had the night off and decided to try without them this time. I had the salmon and my wife the braised pork shank. Both were dry and over cooked. We assume this happened during the resting time. The server was fantastic. She was attentive and cheerful. These 2 things alone would have earned 4 stars. Although the food wasn’t perfect, we have high standards. Where this went downhill was the management. We had not 1, or 2, but 5 visits (unprovoked and not requested) from 3 different managers! I mean come on now, let a couple enjoy the 1 of very rare nights with a babysitter! It seemed like every other bite we got a «How are you doing, I am…» Come on management, as someone who has extensive management experience and a degree in the topic, let your people do their job! If trained well, they will shine. Ours did. You should have been managing the kitchen to prevent that dryness from leaving and hitting the serving floor! This all given, I did not take it out on the server. She was tipped according to her specific level of service. Thank you for shining regardless of your helicopter micromanaging bosses!

Not sure why all the complaints. We had an amazing time here. Came for football Sunday. The food was amazing. The manager changed a TV so we could watch our game on a TV closer. The food was amazing! You have to try the Zingers! Mango habarnero. You can tell this is an amazing place. The manager is welcoming and helps the staff when he can. Great place. We been here twice both times great service and delicious food!

New in town and was looking for a good spot for beer and food. Was talking to some of the locals and Millers is what they suggested for a sports bar. I must say its alot of real estate inside but its definitely worth going to. Alot of TVs and I cant wait to go back on a better sports night. I have the meal of the day which was OSSBUCO (mispelled). It was really good as well as the cold beer. My waiter I forget his name was very engaging, he was happy being he’s a Mets fan! Was very professional and had great suggestions being hes been there 8 yrs. Either way Ill be back tomorrow night for NFL football. Come join me.

1. Extremely Poor service. Asked 3 times to check if she could change a TV to a game, no reponse. Mixed up all our orders. Food was mediocre at best. Spoke to the manager about the game, and received a rude reponse. Hope this helps decide your food tonight.

Passed by this place on many occasions but never had any desire to eat there… Was happy to find them open on the Fourth! Had Cajun chicken pasta was very good! Had fish and chips! Loved them as well… Had blackened mahi sand which with sweet potato fries! Yum yum… The manager was great… gave us a free dessert since our first time there! Great value for the money on the items we ordered! Only downside was the male server who’s worked there for 8 years… Told him we didn’t know anything about the place and he was not very personable and had no recommendations… His service was polite but so extremely slow. He kept forgetting items we had asked for… The bill took forever for him to come back and get so we could pay! Definitely will go there again but hopefully have a different server…

This is our new go-​to place before we leave the area after visiting family. It’s very close to the airport and offers a great menu selection for lots of different tastes.
The beer selection is awesome, and they feature local brews, too. The on-​tap menu gives descriptions, ABV, and IBU numbers for a handful of micro brews, which is very helpful in the choosing process.
The menu is great. Choices galore, I had a hard time picking something out. I had a blackened fish sandwich that was awesome. Huge fish fillet that spilled out over the bun, done to perfection.
Burgers looked good, two in our party got a burger and said it was tasty. Fries are pretty darn good, too.
Our last visit was on a Saturday early afternoon. Service was attentive, friendly, and accurate.
They have lots of seating, and a nice covered outdoor area. That’s great if you’re just stopping by for a brew.
Prices are very reasonable for the location and the quality. This is a place, that if I lived near-​by, I would frequent. Makes for a nice out-​of-​town treat.
Parking lot is large and ample, which is always a plus.
This is a high-​traffic stretch of road, so makes this in a prime location.

Extremely impressed with our visit. The food was awesome (bar foods), the beers were cold, and the service were on it! Loved the fact that I could watch a UFC, or Boxing match and not have to pay a large cover charge. I’d recommend this place to the guys out there that are looking to getaway and grab a few beers. The patio is also a plus!

Typical Miller if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all. Don’t really know what else to say

Ale House. Chain. Like the outside, but food is always just ok. Never had anything terrible, but nothing that has knocked my socks off either. They usually have good drink specials though.

Ok so when they first opened I ordered a Philly cheesesteak. They brought me some other sandwich. Since I was on my lunch break I didn’t have the time to wait. So I ate what they brought. No offer of discount, free nothing! for their mistake. I swore I’d never go back. The other night with a co worker we decided to go because it was close to where we were. April 10 at around 730p or later. Brandi was our bar tender. Sweet, knowledgable, and friendly! Had a cocktail and an order of their Zingers! Yummy! She made us want to come back.

This place is a mixed bag. It’s good, but it’s hit or miss.
The one thing I don’t like is that when there’s a fight, they force everyone to watch it on the outside patio and there’s NEVER enough seating. Even when they were literally just watching commercials and random shows that had nothing to do with sports, they wouldn’t put the fights on the inside. Really weak.
My girlfriend’s salmon wasn’t very good either. My seafood mac and cheese was incredible, though.

Terrible food. The lettuce served in the salad was brown and going bad. The fish tacos were flat out bad!
The service was good! That’s all the ale house has going for them.
I will not be coming back to eat here.
