On a quiet Tuesday afternoon, my parents and I took in a lunch at Landry’s. I was recently off a flight from the Pensacola Airport and was starving. The restaurant has a lunch special: a salad or fried veggie appetizer and six different entrée choices for 12 dollars. Both my dad and I had the fried fish and shrimp plate. It was served with French fries and onion straws. everything was delicious. My Mom had grilled shrimp with dirty rice and broccoli. I took a bite of her rice. The dirty rice was very well flavored. If I go back before I leave, I’m gonna get me some dirty rice or something else cajun. My tea glass did not get empty before the server was there to refill it. The décor is seafaring with fish and fowl accents. The best part is looking out over the water as we ate. The view alone was worth the visit. As we were leaving, we met a couple also from Wisconsin. They winter in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. They make a point of coming to Landry’s at least once during their stay. There must be something in that loyalty. Check it out!

Ughhmazing. My husband and I each had a shrimp dish that was to die for. They are on the pricey side but was perfect for our date night! Plus, you get what you pay for, right?! Great service too! We will be back.

Great atmosphere. Reminds me of a boat house. Service was friendly. Clean which is a must. We ordered the fried onion and jalapeño strings. For the main course we got a chicken Caesar salad and Mahi with asparagus and rice pilaf. The rice was moist, the asparagus and Mahi was seasoned well. The salad had to much of the yellow lettuce for my husbands tastes. Got hush puppies that came with grits which are yummy. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. Oh my so delicious.

Lets start out by saying that this place might/could be better if they have more staff. I went there this Thursda at 6:15. Not even half the restaurant was filled when I arrived. I stood at the hostess for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. I was the only one there. Who greeted me me… The bartender. He was pulling double duty. I told him that i had a party if five and the others were on their way. He said he would seat me because he didn’t know when the barry manilow concert would get out. I was placed right next to the kitchen entrance where all staff could see me when they entered and came out. I sat there for 15 minutes and nobody asked me if i wanted a drink. I then got up and went to the bar to get a drink. That is when my friends arrived. We went back to the table but moved because we wanted more room. Again nobody came over to serve us. Everybody got up and went to the bar to order drinks and then returned to our table. 45 minutes went by and finally a server came over to take our orders. The meals came out 30 minutes later. Again we had to go to the bar for drink refills. Hats off to the bartender he appeared to be the only one busting his butt. The food finally arrived. It was so so. I had the special: red fish with crawfish etouffe for $ 27. A little bland. Ive had better. For $ 27 i would expect way better service! May or may not ever go back.

For Thanksgiving we wanted seafood. The wait staff was excellent. If only the food was the same. My shrimp cocktail was dry but the dipping sauce was excellent. One of our crab and spinach dips was full of oil that floated on the top, they did replace and apologized. Also my scallops were like rubber and usually the fresh ones have a grain of sand, didn’t find that in these but the spinach side was good. My husband said his cedar plank salmon didn’t have any flavor. Now the other 4 members of our party had no problems with taste or texture of their food. Grilled shrimp, enbrochette, Snapper Hemingway and blacken shrimp fettuccine. I hope they will see this as constructive. As I said the service was excellent!!!

Abosulutly the worst fried oysters I’ve ever had and when I mentioned it to the server she let me know that the oysters were frozen, not fresh!!! What in the… The place is right on the gulf. Dont eat here if you want fresh local sea food!!!

Don’t bother. For a so called seafood restaurant to serve calamari that I could use to replace the rubber tires on my car is an insult. They served salad and announced the kitchen had run out of dressing, seriously! I’m sitting here dreading what my entrée salad will taste like. Wish me luck my fellow diners. I hear there’s a nice Indian place down the road. Addendum. The salad was dreadful. I asked for them to remove the Gorgonzola but apparently they are also deaf here just to add to the myriad of issues. Please heed my warning. This establishment needs to do much better than I think it’s capable of.

Went there with my boyfriend and we LOVED it. Told someone how much we loved it and they said, «it’s frozen though.» Out response was, «I don’t care. It was DELICIOUS.» Well worth it. Crab-stuffed mahi, shrimp cocktail, and crab-cakes. All so good.

We haven’t been to Pensacola for years. When we arrived we wanted to eat at a good seafood place. We thought that we remembered Laundry’s as being one of those places; however, we were less than impressed with our food and our service. I had the Tilapia Hemingway. The asparagus was undercooked, not seasoned, and tasteless. The tilapia was nothing spectacular either. My friend had the boiled seafood platter, and left half of his on his plate. The clam chowder was good; however, our seafood stuffed mushroom appetizer was not tasty either. The serve was inattentive, and allowed one in our party to order a ginger ale two or three times without mentioned that there was a charge for each glass. Overall, our experience was very poor, and we will not choose to dine at this location again. :(

The service was nice and friendly but lacking in attention. The starter bread came out almost baked and the food, which took over 30 mins to come out, was depressing. Cold and mushy fried fish.

Food was great, atmosphere great. Staff… sucks! So if youre willing to wait foreverrrrr for someone to take your order, bring it to you, and give you you’re check then by all means come here! Otherwise, don’t come! Oh and while we were eating the bus boy was cleaning a big table in front of us and separating the chairs and tables, dragging it across the floor. Seriously?

We stayed at the Residence Inn and decided to stay close for our anniversary dinner. So glad we did. The salad served before the meal was amazing, my husband had the calamari… he enjoyed it and I enjoyed the fried veggies came with it. For his dinner he had the Snapper Hemingway. It was yummy, but the star of the show was my broiled stuffed shrimp. The staff was excellent. I enjoyed being able to look out across the bay to eat my dinner. Weather was perfect!

Went yesterday with the family. It was pretty good in my opinion. I had the broiled seafood platter which had stuffed crab, tilapia topped w/crab &mushroom, shrimp 3 ways, broccoli, and rice. $ 28 may be a little much, but it was well worth it. My mom got gumbo which wasn’t that great. My dad had the fried seafood platter which is basically the same as broiled just fried and had oysters and fries and onion strings. I’d definitely recommend trying. The appetizers were good too, we had the crab artichoke dip and the crawfish bread. The service was great too we had an awesome waiter and the food was brought fairly quick. If you’re in the pensacola area and want to try sea food this is the place.

I have worked in the hospitality field for over a decade. We refer to restaurants all over the city. Due to all the referrals I had sent their way, the company gave me a gift certificate. I have never had worse treatment in my life. Evidently, my waiter took exception to the fact I had a «coupon». He even gave us attitude and argued with us over bread.(I asked for butter, he said it was on the bread even tho it wasn’t and refused to bring us any.) At the end of the meal, which was mediocre, I explained that I had the certificate due to hundreds of dollars I referred their way. Never, ever, ever again will they get a recommendation from me.

Absolutely wonderful. Waitress was so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Drinks were brought out promptly. Pace of service was perfect. She left a couple minutes between each course so we never felt rushed. House salads were simple but very well done. I had the Snapper Hemingway, quality fish with a perfect parmesan crust. Asparagus was cooked perfectly and the crab orzo was one of a kind. My boyfriend had the snow crab legs and loaded baked potato. We both enjoyed the potato and he devoured every bit of crab with a smile on his face. Finished off with their mini desserts, the perfect bite to satisfy our sweet tooth. Overall, beyond satisfied with our dinner. Can’t wait to go back.

I have always wanted to go to try the food. The wait staff was outstanding; ask for Ms. Beth’s table! She kept an watchful eye on us. I didn’t have to ask for refills or anything. The food was ok. Maybe it was the selection I had but it didn’t make me want to go back. I ordered the Blue Crab Cake &BBQ Shrimp. It was a blue crab cake & shrimp sautéed in our spicy New Orleans BBQ butter; served with Andouille & pepper Jack grits. Not a fan. The firecracker shrimp was delectable! I will would go back just for that!

Had lunch at this place for the first time on New Years Eve, I was pleased with the services that they provided for the group I was with. Two servers who came around every 15 minutes to check up on us, asked us questions, chatted with us(that’s something I am not used to, but pleased with). What’s more is that the food is great! Minus the wait that we had, but I am sure that outside a large group your meal will come quickly. The entire restaurant has a great view of the bay, which is very nice! Overall, I will come to this place again! You will not be disappointed.

Crawfish étouffée and rice were crusted over indicating they had been under the heat lamp for a while. Rice was overcooked. Fish tacos had good flavor. Please don’t serve beer in foo foo glasses.

I’ve driven past Landry’s many a time and had no intention of going in, The place looks old and dreary. On this occasion, I had no choice as I wasn’t driving the car. I’m glad my friends chose Landry’s. Yes, it’s old and dreary; however, the looks and the shape of the restaurant were sorely outmatched by the service and the preparation of the food. We chose to sit at the bar, and the bartender, well she couldn’t be nicer. She made her suggestions, and they were all pretty much, very good. The Shrimp Enbrochette was excellent, I could eat them all day. I ordered the Redfish, with Ponchetrain Sauce, a white sauce with crab meat, mushrooms and shrimp. My friends ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and Melissa Sauce, that was sautéed shrimps, scallops and crab. Both were AWESOME! I had mine sautéed and they had there’s grilled. The redfish was great, but the sea bass was outstanding. The menu is definitely not tired and old, least not for me. everything tasted fresh and nothing was fishy. Glad I came!
