The view can’t be beat if you sit outside and their iced tea is great. But, $ 100 for 4 people for lunch for mediocre(at best) food? Never again. The server was cocky and I did not appreciate it. Gumbo was more of a regular soup and bland, btw. The hostess was very sweet and I saw other servers being very friendly but it is absolutely not worth the prices. I’m extremely disappointed we wasted our time and so much money.

The restaurant is really beautiful and if you sit outside you have a great view of the bay. Our waitress(I would love to remember her name) and everyone working there were really welcoming, which in my opinion is hard to find. I ordered the house cabernet and it was perfect! …and one thing I would like to point out to all the Wine lovers, is that their glasses are REALLY well served! My boyfriend ordered the salmon and I had the pesto flatbread, and both were amazing! You can really taste the quality of their ingredients. I would also like to point out that this place is DOGFRIENDLY! YAAAY(5 stars for that). for all the dog lovers out there, be sure to bring your puppy and grab a drink with your friends.

Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille is a pleasant diversion in beautiful Pensacola. My wife is a fan of the fish tacos. While I really do not typically enjoy fish tacos, when paired with its accouterments these are really good. I would recommend the Palafox which is a pasta dish with sausage, spinach and Greek olives. It comes in three sauces but I prefer the garlic olive oil. I also enjoy their bouillabaisse but«fish stew» is not for everyone. Lastly if you are looking for a lighter desert try the Drunken Berries. It’s a mixture of macerated fresh berries that is drizzled with a liquor and dolloped with whipped cream. The best part of Jacos is the view. It overlooks the marina and I recommend it on warm evenings when the sun is setting over the Gulf. It is a good date restaurant. All in all it is one our favorite restaurants in the Pensacola area.

Decent service — kind of slow for a not so busy night. Waitress did not have much knowledge about the food/drinks for recommendations. Could not ring through a gift card so we used a regular credit card. Food was good — pizza, fries, bruchetta, and steak were what we ordered. Great view!

I would give this place a 3.5 if I could, but it is the holidays so I am going to round up to a 4. We dined here on a Saturday night. I made reservations but they probably weren’t necessary as the place wasn’t that crowded. That being said, the wait staff was very friendly, we were seated promptly, and our waitress was quite attentive. As for the signature cocktails… they look and sound good, but there was a bit too much mixers in there for me. When I order a bourbon cocktail, I like to taste the bourbon. But maybe that is just me… I had the mahi special and the lady had the salmon salad. Both came out promptly and looked great, but honestly were a bit bland. If there was some cholula on the table, I am pretty sure I would have used a quarter of the bottle to add some flavor to the fish. All that being said, it’s a good atmosphere being right on the water, prices are too expensive, and the staff is friendly. I probably will try other seafood options in Pensacola before dining here again, but hey maybe I came on an off night…

This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I come to Pensacola! The bruschette was a great way to start the meal. The cocktails were fantastic, the Blonde & Stormy is one of the best drinks I’ve had at a restaurant. Our waitress Thea was delightful and super friendly! Next time we’ll definitely make sure we save room to order the fried Oreos.

We had a group of 9 arrive with notice around 1 pm for lunch. The restaurant was not particularly busy. Our party included two people of advanced age. Our server seemed harried, likely not her fault, likely the manager’s fault. Fine. We waited 35 minutes for her to take our order; despite asking a few times if we could place our orders, she kept refilling the kids’ sodas(not smart as hungry hyper kids are major jerks) and ignoring the people paying the bill. Once we were able to place our orders, it took 45 minutes for food to arrive, and, in that intervening 45 minutes, we didn’t receive a single word about the wait. No advance notice the kitchen was busy and the wait might be long. No apology. No free appetizer to appease the hungry masses. Just more soda refills for the already hyper and hangry kids.(Next time, consider asking an adult if a child can have a refill before you bring it. The answer would’ve been no, water only, BTW.) After we’d wolfed down our admittedly tasty food, a woman who acted as if she were management came by to check on everything. When a member of our party complained about the insane wait times, this woman’s response was, «Our kitchen is small… I’m low on the totem pole.» That is never an appropriate response. Instead try one of the following: — I’m not management, but I can see if our manager has a moment to speak to you. — I’m not management. The manager on duty is busy, but I’ll let him know your concerns and see if we can comp your beverages. If the kitchen is that small, your restaurant should have fewer seats. Don’t use the small kitchen as an excuse. Decent people don’t stiff the server when the kitchen is slow. Never pretend you’re management, if you’re not. It makes you look silly while further frustrating already annoyed patrons. Additionally, a member of our party has Celiac and informed the server when she ordered a dish marked as gluten-free friendly. Her plate came out with a bread product on it. That’s a big mistake. I’ve been to a catered event here; it was nice. This dining experience? Not nice. Thankfully, the people we dined with were good fun. Even if I lived in Pensacola, I wouldn’t be tempted to go back.

Stumbled on to this place driving around town. The scenery is great, the atmosphere is very relaxing. Didn’t get to try an entrée but tried the antipasto app, which was great, and our bartender, Adam, was very friendly and made great mojitos.

I like Jaco’s due to the view of the bay, outdoor dining along with the fact that their chef is actually a chef and not someone who merely opens cans and boxes. My favorite delight is their Drunken Berry dessert.

A coworker was treating us to lunch and brought us to Jaco’s. I’m from Miami, so I welcomed the suggestion. Overall, I liked the food, but it wasn’t amazing. Based on my experience, it is comparable to a Friday’s with a little bit more seafood options. We started with the chips and salsa appetizer. It had a little scoop of guacamole on top. Then I thought I was doing good with the Mahi Reuben sandwich, but was slightly underwhelmed. The fish was good, just not much Reuben to it. I also wasn’t crazy about the regular bread on the sandwich – it was something I could buy at Publix. My coworkers ordered flatbread and a burger; it looked okay. The burger was a little burned and the cheese was cooked into a circle(it looked like when you melt the shredded cheese together). Other than that, they ate everything off their plates. They liked it, and other folks from town also spoke well about Jaco’s. I will say that the views outside are spectacular. Definitely grab a table outside!

Stopped in here for a glass of wine while I was waiting for some friends to fly in from the West Coast. This is no where near the airport, however, the airport is very close to everything. I came in here at lunch time and grabbed a seat at the bar. Beautiful interior, great wine selection and a very cool bartender. I forget his name but he’s a young man originally from the Cote d’Ivoire. He was knowledgeable and had a fantastic attitude — just what you need after a long day of travelling. I wanted something light and he suggested the lettuce wraps which were tasty, light, and the perfect billing for my stomach. I had a glass of their Sauvignon Blanc — nice crisp with good acidity. Then we got to talking about their wine list. And him, a lady from Georgia that shows art in the area and I tasted and compared a glass of the Meiomi Pinot Noir. It was a great time, a beautiful view, and everyone seemed to be very happy in the place.

Excellent view of the Bayfront from our table. Service was great, food was fanatic. Overall I recommend if you are looking for tasty food selection, great choice of beer, wine, and mixed cocktails. Happy hour is half off wine and signature cocktails. I had the wild mushroom flatbread pizza, sister had the Margarita flatbread, both were very, very good and flavorful. My daughter had the porkloin dinner she enjoyed very much, it was tender, tasty and oh so good. We started off with the pommes frittes and they were so good we got a second order, comes with 2 dipping sauces. We were there for happy hour I recommend the grey goose raspberry lemonade. It’s made with fresh muddled raspberries and top shelf vodka. Best of all it was half off for happy hour. Usually you don’t see top shelf drinks for happy hour but they had a great selection of interesting cocktails to choose from. We also tried 2 desserts the key lime pie — just ok for me but I’m not big on key lime anyhow. Deep fried oreos with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Again –not my thing but not bad.

This place is terrible. We ordered the chips and salsa to start and the chips came out cold and were fried much earlier. I guess the few mins it took to fry up the chips was too much for them to handle. I had the steak salad and the salad was not cold, onion topping the salad was stale as well and the steak had no flavor. My husband and brother in-law had their Jaco’s tacos and it was supposed to have blackened fish but came out pan fried and lacking any flavor. My sister in-law was the only one that lucked out since her salmon burger was ok. This was not worth the wait. The only good thing this restaurant has going for it is the view.

Excellent place to eat. We are taking a sunset cruise and picked this place. Had the special and it was great. Wahoo with risotto. Wife had salmon and said its the best she’s ever had. Lots of gluten-free options here for those that need that.

Great view and atmosphere for an outdoor dinner. They have a nice selection of cocktails and great accommodating bartenders. We opted for the Antipasto platter and shared a flatbread for dinner. Everything was delicious! This is a spectacular place for a romantic dinner… make sure you go at sunset. The view is to die for!
