The servings here are huge, especially their nachos and burritos. My favorite is the chimichanga! I picked chicken and for the sides I had black beans with rice that has lime in it. I was so happy with this meal. The staff is great and I like the vibe here.

By far my favorite restaurant on Pensacola Beach. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always so pleasant. The food is always good and fresh. My favorite is the fried mahi fish tacos on flour hard shell. I love that they give a local discount too!

Went in on a busy Tuesday afternoon. Was sat immediately. Chips and salsa were given promptly. Lisa, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. House margaritas were delicious and a good bang for your buck. Queso classico was above expectation. Chimmichangas and fish tacos were also so great with the lime rice. Would absolutely go again!

The atmosphere is causal family. The server’s are knowledgeable about the menus. The food comes out hot and sizzling. Portions are huge. Will not disappoint.

I absolutely love this place! I usually get the Chimichanga and the Fiesta Corn Chowder is delicious. My boyfriend loves their California Burrito; however, it is a bit pricey. The burrito is about $ 15.00, but it does come with a cup of tortilla soup, which sort of makes up for the price. Definitely try it out!

Was in town for business and stopped hear for lunch before heading to the airport. Great decision! Had the mahi mahi tacos with black beans and Spanish rice. Best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The service was good too.

Service was great but food was bland. I don’t know how they consider the enchiladas Santa Fe style when I lived there. If I could I would give more stars to Mimi.

Good food. Service was slow. Good salsa and chips. I had the grilled wrap with mahi mahi and my husband had fish tacos. The kids loved it.

Decent food. Broken chips I’m not a fan of. We go to cactus cantina where the food is awesome great happy hour and the chips aren’t broken pieces.

This would have been 5 stars were it not for the nachos, the basic nachos; far too many small broken pieces of corn chips with a basic mornay style cheese sauce over them. No garnish or attempt to make them look profession in any way! The entrees were fantastic. We had enchiladas and tamales. The shredded beef filling was fantastic, the red mole was rich and tasty. Really good rice and black beans, both the lime cilantro and brown rices very good. Our service was excellent, Alex(a female) was very very good. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

Its good, but not great. I’ve had the quesadilla to go(from the west side) and it was really good. I’ve eaten in the restaurant(off 9th I think) and had the chicken tacos with soup. The service was slow, although it was lunch time and they were pretty busy, but our waitress brought the wrong food first, forgot some food and then remembered it, but it was so late that it had to taken to go. Might be a better togo restaurant then eat in… I’ll give it another chance.

The best and most fresh California Mexican you can find outside of California. Lots to choose from. The flavors are incredible. Every other place is now ruined for me! I will be a lifer! A+++++

I am a human that has been to NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Sante Fe and have eaten at some great Mexican restaurants which makes me a master of the editorial/critique. My self-esteem is high because I know in my heart that I am a good critic. Provenance does in fact bequeath expertise and you should believe all these words I am writing on the internet. This last paragraph is paying homage to one of my Unilocal fans who sent me some hate mail(see G F.‘s review below). At any rate, this place is great! Great service, atmosphere, and food! I went with this item: SOUTHERNCALIFORNIABURRITO San Diego started this burrito craze with Steak Carne Asada, natural fries, melted cheddar cheese, fresh guacamole, Salsa Verde, and pico de Gallo, all wrapped into the perfect meal! Sides of beans and rice or a cup of soup. I take this as their version of the California burrito(defined as a burrito with carne asada with french fries inside the actual burrito) since they have natural fries in there which were basically non-fried potatoes. They give you free chips/salsa before your meal. The prices were decent and the meal was tasty. I’d recommend this place if you have a Mexican food craving but don’t expect anything mind-blowing because just like most«ethnic food» in Pensacola, the culinary arts are just lackluster.

5 Stars for customer service! The food was great, maybe 4.5 stars. But the customer service is by far the most professional and well trained I’ve seen in Pensacola. We ordered a salad, soup, and nachos. When the nachos came out, they looked loaded. But from eating the top layer, we noticed the bottom was all dried chips. The staff immediately apologized and took it off my total bill. 5 Stars worthy.

Came here with the boyfriend as I wanted to try something different. If you get anything on the menu, try the mango shrimp starter. Soooo good! He had a Chile relleno, and I had enchiladas with red sauce. Good food, but they need to better space their booths. Talk about squished!

I was unimpressed by this restaurant. Stopped here for lunch 12⁄15. The location has decent parking. It was empty when we dined so I can not attest to the noise level. The service was quick and prompt. I’ve been to several Mexican restaurants so I was surprised to find the meal so underwhelming. The table chips and salsa started the meal off badly. The salsa was ice cold and lacking of flavor and taste. Hubby asked for some dipping queso and that wasn’t that food either. I got the chicken quesadilla. Daughter got the cheese quesadilla with Spanish rice and refried beans. My quesadilla was subpar, I decided against the Pico de Gallo but it was topped with some kind of ranch sauce the made it more edible. The chicken was mixed with Rotel which was new but the quesadilla itself was dry without the sauce. The LOL cheese quesadilla was good, the Spanish rice dry and the beans tasteless. The hubby ate his Mahi Mahi butrito and stated it was good. Overall i don’t think I will be returning anytime soon, will try other nearby Mexican restaurants.

Hostess told me 15 – 20 minutes for a wait and ended up waiting for a whole hour. Me and my girlfriend were very upset because after an hour I went up to talk to her and she told me she already tried calling my name when I was sitting right next to the host stand paying attention the whole time. Used to be one of my favorite places in Pensacola but I’m not coming back for a long time.

This restaurant is one of the best latin food restaurants I have found so far. I liked everything I have tried so far with the exception of their tamale. The only reason was because they drowned it in sauce and it was a bit salty. I’m going to have to try it without sauce & just a spicy salsa. They bring out chips & salsa which are delicious. But I love the owners hot salsa she makes. I’ve had others make it but it’s not the same.

Me and my mom had the pleasure of eating at the Cactus Flower today! We got the the«Queso Bites» and the Fish Tacos for lunch. The Queso Bites were good. They were also very filling… The taco meal comes with a side of rice and beans. The Tacos themselves were STUFFED to the brim!!! We also ordered guacamole. The guacamole was exactly like it should be… Fresh ingredients with nice chunky prices of avocado. It wasn’t your authentic Mexican food but they did incorporate a lot of the traditional ingredients, like cilantro and jalapeño. We had to ask for extra of both but we’re both from Cali… So what do you expect? I would say this more of an American Mexican mixed with Cajun tropical type of restaurant. It’s clean and quaint with great staff! The service was on point and friendly. I would eat here again.

I have heard of Tex-Mex…Cali-Mex is now my new term! I ordered these bite size-like shrimp tacos… so good! As well my companion had the fish tacos and we find those delightful as well. Nice surprise to find in the panhandle area! The salsa and just about everything else had a bit of heat… but then I am a wimp when it comes to spicy!
