We stopped in for the 2016 Polar Bear Plunge. It was chilly out… oh so chilly. The bar was packed. Not a place I would have taken my toddler to. That said, there were a few children there. The bartenders seemed to do a pretty decent job keeping up with the demand. Concerning the Polar Bear Plunge. We will not be going back. It was ok, but there is a seawall built up along their back property so you have to go down the steps to enter the water vice getting a long running start and diving into the surf. The venue is also small so you can expect to be shoulder to shoulder while you are there. It thinned out a bit after the plunge. Their tshirts were very cool though. I would definitely go to Paradise for some evening cocktails, but I’d avoid the plunge.

I have been to Paradise more times than I can count. It is always a good time. If you’re looking for food get the smoked tuna dip. It’s tasty and they give you a huge serving of it. The shrimp poboy is good too. To drink you have to get the bushwacker. It’s stinking delicious. I say hands down it’s the best one on the beach. You can’t come to Pensacola Beach and not get one of these bushwackers. It’s like a wonderful milkshake with a ton of liquor. Despite this being an outdoor bar, somehow it manages to still be smoky. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke you definitely need to be careful where you sit while you are here. Even when it is busy the service is pretty fast. The drinks are awesome and the food is good. I know I will be back.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. It doesn’t look like much, but the food is great, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the live music is a nice treat.

Wow… Maybe because it was a Wednesday night in the off season(October) but for starters we were a party of 4 and the waitress showed up with 1 menu. Then promptly asked us what we wanted. We ordered water. Finally after more menus arrived we settled in and ordered. I’m guessing on a weekend night this place — which has a 9’ sign out front saying, «Live Music» — could be hopping but during the week prepare yourself for ragtime piano. The pianist, who was skilled, requested request but couldn’t play anything we asked for(Randy Newman, Billie Holliday) which should have been staples in his repertoire give that he stayed on in the Big Easy vein all night. Food was adequate — black and blue burger was very salty but the Mahi fish and chips was excellent — service was bush league. If you already have a decent buzz and order a bushwhacker you’ll be fine. At the end of the day this ain’t nothing you can’t get back home but being able to eat with your feet the sand is worth something. 1 star service + 2 stars food = 3 stars

Paradise Bar and Grill is the outdoor beach bar located at the Paradise Inn motel. And it is legit fun! This is an outdoor bar and grill. Bar and some of the seating is covered, but as you get away from the bar there are picnic tables on the sand. There’s a stage out there and the closer you get to the water they have lounge chairs and those Adirondack chairs facing the water. There’s also a pier out there where people can park their boats and come on in. Our first visit there was while waiting to check in to our room. We holed up at the bar and started with some bushwackers because that is what you doooooo in Pensacola. We chatted up the people around us, the bartender, everyone and had a pleasant time while enjoying the view of the bay. After that we basically came here every single day for 5 days solid to either start or end the night. They had a pretty good band playing on Friday and Saturday night so we enjoyed that while chatting up some people. We hung out here facing the water when we were waiting for it to be time to go to the airport. It’s chill at times and more rowdy and crowded at times and both are great. You can get smashed and dance your ass off or chill at the bar and shoot the shit with other people or you can sit out by the water and be all romantic with your boo. Special bonus is that plenty of locals go there too so not as touristy as some of the bars at the beach or the Boardwalk. Special mention to the fun bartender lasses that worked there. After day 1 our fave bartender knew our drinks and would get them on cue when we walked up. And when we ran into her out a few nights later we all had a shot and hung out for a while. You definitely need to come here and hang out on your trip to Pensacola. Good place to get your day drink on FORSURE or hear some live music at night.

Just an okay place. People love the live music but we were not that impressed. Especially after a woman came around asking for donations from everyone to help support the band. The food was just a pile of grease and the drinks were watered down and bland. We most likely will not bother returning here even tho you can eat on tables in the sand which I do enjoy.

Talk about a great start to our mini vacation. The atmosphere is so laid back, the live music is great, the views(we had the pleasure of watching the sunset) are breath-taking, the food is delicious(recommend the fried fish basket) and the service was great too. :-) definitely a must visit.

Love this place! Great, fresh pub fare right on the sound. Eat, drink and enjoy the live music while your kids swim in the shallow water of the sound. Try the fried fish. It is light and delicious.

When we come to pensacola we always stay at the paradise inn. We love the beach/bay front access, the restaurant and bar have the best margaritas in town. You can get a pretty decent burger for $ 4.75. The spinach quesadilla is awesome! They have live bands on the weekends, although a little loud, they certainly get the crowd up and dancing. It’s a beautiful setting, under the palm trees and lights, watching the sun set. They have lounge chairs and umbrellas available for customers. It really doesn’t get any better. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, shopping, restaurants. It’s really the perfect place.

Simply perfect. Good food. Very god food! This is primarily a locals place, the tourists that find it seem to get that and don’t really show their asses all that much.

First note — if you’re looking for an elegant restaurant with high prices, this spot isn’t for you. However if you’re looking for a restaurant that serves good food at reasonable prices, then give it a try. I had the mahi-mahi basket. Mahi-mahi cut into 1 inch sections blackened and grilled. The fish was moist tender and very tasty. One other of my party had steamed shrimp which was fresh and very good. A third have a Cuban sandwich and enjoyed it very much. The only sour note was the fourth of my party who ordered a burger… not a good option. The burger appeared to be a frozen premade patty that did not have much flavor. We common this to our waiter and they made the situation right. The restaurant has outdoor seating, often has a band playing, and has fans and water misting to keep you comfortable and cool. This place is recommended for a casual evening of good food and live music.
