We have been eating at Olympia since long before the Lapp’s took over and kept it from closing. For that, we will always be grateful to the Lapp’s. Mind you, we drive from Newark, DE – so you just know the food has to be tasty. Olympia is my go-to place when I want what I call an old fashioned greasy burger. So good! I have to warn you — the place doesn’t look like much. Don’t worry. It’s clean. Trust me, try the burgers. My son and I usually get one(each) for lunch and take home another for dinner. Lots of free fixings. I like to load mine — lettuce, tomato, fried onions, sautéed mushrooms and ketchup. Dang it’s good. We get sides of French fries and onion rings(yes, both) and try to save room for their ice cream for dessert. Gluttonous!!! Sometimes on summer weekends, they set up the smoker on the road out front and do awesome ribs, pulled pork and more. By the way, there is an INCREDIBLE fruit and vegetable stand next door. Score! Sadly, they still close for the winter. Next I have to try the original Lapp’s in town. And then back to the Olympia, next Spring.

Stopped off here for a couple of hot dogs… glad I did. A nice roadside spot that offers a lot more than what one would assume from its exterior. Burgers, dogs… and BBQ. I just had a couple of dogs, but the Q smelled great. Please consider this place rather than some fast food factory… this place deserves your $ more than them.

We’ve been here several times since the Lapp family took over. Fantastic pulled pork sandwich. 1⁄3 pound fresh burgers. They have a burger with pulled pork and coleslaw on top. Simple, straight forward menu. Teenagers working the grill. Classic dive diner feel. And there is good people watching here. Always a few cowboys. Today there was a couple in their 50s dressed 1980s rich. I thought they were silly, then saw them drive off in a Bentley. Maybe it was a kit car. Hands down best American fare in Salem County. The Ice Cream is 5 star too.

One of the best icecream stands in the area. Definitely worth a stop… whether you are passing by on your way to the shore or looking for something sweet on a humid jersey summer evening, this is your spot. Love the icecream, my husband gets the milkshakes and they are amazing! There is a giant local produce stand next door that has flowers, veggies, fruit and canned goods(not to mention seasonal peach or apple cider). We like to grab our groceries for the week and wander over to the stand for a post-shopping treat. Enjoy!

The better half stumbled upon Lapp’s as we planned a stop at Cowtown on the way back from a recent Virginia Beach trip, and were staying at the Holiday Inn down the road. Cheeseburgers(1⁄3rd of a pound i.e. just right) with an array of free fixings, onion rings and a thick black and white shake were magnificent. Think my family ate for $ 20. Don’t stand there reading, GO!

Heading back to DC from a wedding on Cape May I saw this place and thought it looked like it could be a good experience. Boy, am I glad we stopped. Easily the best pulled pork sandwich I’d ever had– massive, tangy, on a large chewy bun, with a few perfectly chosen pickles. The french fries were nicely crispy and brown– just the way I like them. Well worth a stop.

The Olympia is well known to anyone that has traveled to Cowtown or the Jersey Shore. Taken over a couple of year back, The Lapp Family,(Well Known Caterers in the area), Keep this place hopping and spotless!!! Burgers, Shakes, Fries and their Famous Pulled Pork Sandwiches are sure to satisfy. This is a very popular family stop spot. Outdoor seating and CLEANBATHROOMS. I would get their Cheese Fries topped with Lapps Famous Pulled Pork! COMFORTFOODALLTHEWAY! Enjoy, Chef Gary Curry

I was in despair after leaving Cowtown empty handed on my lunch break. The thought of stopping for fast food was unbearable. Luckily Olympia was up ahead and I figured I’d get a shake and call it good. When parking I saw the Lapp’s ownership and pulled pork BBQ signs my tummy did a lil happy dance. The«bar» is a total drive in dive but the inside was tidy enough and the food looked mouth wateringly good. I’m familiar with Lapp’s Dutch Market so I knew they were working with good product. Also I didn’t realize Richman’s was still around but they apparently carry the ice cream so another score! I ordered a large shake(briefly tempted by the monster lol), pulled pork BBQ, slaw and a side of pickles. My total was $ 11.45 which is not bad for the amount of meat that was packed in my sandwich. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich was coated with the perfect amount of sweet tangy sauce and the meat was tender and juicy. Unfortunately the sandwich was super greasy which makes it a bad choice for eating on the go or in my case while working. The sandwich was so massive I opted to forgo the toasted bun ¼ in and ate the succulent BBQ with the supplied fork. The slaw was over-mayoed and peppery so I’d skip in the future. The milkshake was rich and on the chocolatey side for a black and white. Real ice cream is used in the shake so it has more of an icy taste and texture. Not my favorite but still enjoyable. I wish they had Lapp’s roast beef sandwiches. That would probably tip the star scale to a fiver.
