Delicious gelato in a waffle bowl! My daughter was craving something sweet and this hit the spot. This will be our new gelato place for sure. Great service and flavorful gelato!

I’ve been going here for a really long time and I still don’t know how to pronounce or spell the name of this place. But all one needs to mention is gelato and the image of this place pops into my head. This is THE gelato place. If you have gelato at any other place besides here you’re playing yourself. The gelato flavors here don’t really change too much and that’s not a bad thing because there are only two flavors you’ll want to get Bacio(fun fact Bacio(pronounced ba-cho) is a city in Italy) and pistachio. They do have numerous other flavors but once you try those two flavors they won’t matter to you. The prices are more than reasonable and haven’t changed since I first started going here back in 08 or 09. It’s a family owned business so the service is very customer friendly. Whenever I go I usually see grandma gelato there. I’m not sure if grandma gelato is a grandma but I give her that nickname because she just comes off as warm and caring like my grandma. If she takes you’re order she always replies to everything with a «Thank you.» Me: «I’ll take a medium Bacio and pistachio please». Grandma gelato: «Thank you.» No, thank you Grandma gelato.

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed here yet — I could have sworn I did! I’ve been here a few times and I love gelato anywhere pretty much– and this is some of the very best, if not the best I’ve ever had– it’s obviously made in store, and is so rich and creamy. Prices are reasonable, and service is ok, albeit not spectacular. The place is usually crowded but not a long wait or line at all! It’s a bit of a trek from where I live, or I’d go much more frequently. It’s very cute as well.

Visited this lovely locale for an afternoon gelato treat with friends. I got the milk chocolate(fantastic), friends got Italian cookie and cappuccino both very delicious. My one friend mentioned its the best Gelato she’s had in FL since she’s been back from Italy! She does not say these things often by the way, she got pistachio, hazelnut & amaretto all were crazy good! The shop is adorable and comfortable to sit, enjoy some gelato and conversation with friends. Thumbs up!

When visiting Italy, some spend their time looking for the best wine or art. When Husband and I spent our honeymoon in Italy, we searched for the best gelato. After fourteen years, I can’t remember which town or place had the best. I do know between the pasta and gelato, I gained a lot of weight on that trip! I don’t know if the gelato at Vaniglia et Cioccolato can compete with the best gelato we had in Italy. I do know however that the gelato is authentic and delicious. Contrary to what some other reviewers complained about, I had no problem getting several samples. I usually love Dark Chocolate. This Dark Chocolate had that rich, deep chocolate flavor but could have been a tad sweeter for my taste. I finally decided on the Bacio and White Chocolate. It was a great choice and I am glad I got the medium sized cup, as the small cup did seem rather small. To be fair, the portion sizes here are probably what true portion sizes should be, not the super sized portion sizes that most of us are used to. The place is fairly small with a few tables and chairs. If you come on a busy night I would not count on sitting down. The staff behind the counter did not seem to speak much English. They served us in a very perfunctory way, without much interaction. It was a Saturday night and very busy when we were there. You had to take a number and wait until it was called. Even when our number was called though, we had to wait for the people ahead of us to finish as they were blocking our view of the gelato! Beware that this parking lot can be crazy on weekend nights. It is right near the Regal movie theater. However, if you want delicious gelato, the trip will be worth it for this little slice of Italy in Pembroke Pines.

This is a great spot in Pembroke Pines! The store is family owned and the people who work here are always so nice! I have visited many times and each one of the gelato flavors are hand made, carefully crafted and extremely rich. There are fruit flavors and creamy flavors. My favorites have to be pistachio if I’m in the mood for creamy and mango if I want fruity. Samples are allowed before you decide and the servers also don’t mind combing two flavors for you in one cup if you can’t decide! This spot is definitely worth trying. Prices are kind of steep but definitely worth it :) I also really like the gelato filled crepes which are made to order, served with your choice of gelato, Whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle. I haven’t had any of their coffees but will do so in the future.

Came here only cause we had an hour to kill before our movie. So glad we came in. Super small place but it’s kinda like those little cafes you see in Paris on the streets of Champs-Élysées. For one, they serve you on plastic plates verses paper which I like. They seem to have a pretty wide variety of items to choose from. I personally had a cappuccino and a crêpe with Nutella ice cream. Although sick, and my Taste sense is not on the bright side at the moment, I was still able to taste the rich Nutella flavor. Only reason for a four star instead of five is the display of a sign that reads«Only one taste» seriously? When coming for ice cream, if there are new unique flavors how are you suppose to know which flavor you’d like More? For us, it didn’t matter much cause I came with my husband so he tried a flavor and I tried a flavor– we needed up choosing the better one of the two. Needless to say, we will be back

This has to be the #1 place for gelatos in the entire USA! They have my favorite — DARK chocolate with pistachio. I fell in love with this combo in Rome — where I ate it 3xs/day. The one served here is as good! The owner of this Gem is an Italian family who also owned a gelato place in Rome before moving to P. Pines — this is as authentic as it gets. I recently tried their limited-time Pumpkin gelato and it was heavenly. They make gelatos with lots of unique flavors like blue cheese and local ones like coconut, guava, mango, pineapple, etc. Maybe one day I walk in and they’ll have Mamey gelato. That would be a dream come true! ;) Skip dessert at the restaurant and come try one of these amazing gelatos!

I was there once again last night. This shop is my little piece of Italy around the corner. The Italian news station was on and it was interesting to watch. They have Italian magazines as well. I felt at home as I’ve know the son since he was in middle school. I had the Bacio and OMG, it is better than the candy. I’m usually not much for nuts in my ice cream but here I love their pistachio. I officially don’t have a favorite anymore. It’s more like my top ten favorites! If you haven’t been to this gem of a shop, you are truly missing out. They make delicious crepes and cappuccino too.

Great mom and pop cozy Italian spot. From the friendly employees to the bathroom paintings, this place is what I would expect from an Italian ice cream parlor. They have ice cream, coffee, crepes and more.

Not gonna lie, this place was confusing from start to finish. Everyone on Unilocal recommended this place for their delicious gelato so I thought I would give it a try. It’s located in the Regal Cinemas plaza so parking is readily available. When we walked in there were a lot of people crowded around the register and counter, there was no sign specifying where to order. They have two gelato counters sadly not side by side, so ordering is extra tricky. Fruitier flavors are on one side while the creamy chocolate flavors are on the opposite side, with a room filled with people it’s hard to order. You’re limited to sampling 1 flavor(even though they allowed our group to sample 3) Prices are average for gelato in the states, in Europe it’s cheaper but here it’s considered an international dessert. Seating is limited inside, easier for groups of 3 to be seated that a group of more. I tried the Bacio flavor and the Dark Chocolate gelato in a cup, they were good… Not necessarily great(this coming from someone that ate gelato 3 times a day when in Italy) Overall it’s pretty good but not great, I can’t recommend going on a Saturday night since the staff seemed a little overwhelmed with the amount of people inside. The ordering counter should be labeled as well as where the line starts.

I absolutely LOVE this place! The gelato is always great, fresh, and authentic. Everything about this little shop is 100% Italian and it truly feels as if you are in Italy. #1 place for Gelato in my book.

To say this gelato was heaven on earth would be an understatement! This is the real deal, Italian sweetness made with love! Soooooo, reading reviews upon my visit, a lot of Unilocalers mentioned how they only allow 1 tasting and the«adult only» magazines… 1st of all, if that’s REALLY all you can complain about, whether it be here, somewhere else, or in life, you need to reconsider your priorities(or ask for a prescription of Xanex). This is someone’s livelihood and you’re going to tamper with it for pettiness?! That’s what gives Unilocalers a «bad name»! 2nd of all, the owner actually offered my date and I several flavors w/o us asking. He genuinely wanted us to be jumping for joy with our choices, and I read that like it was written on his forehead. If you really need to be sampling 3 or 4, you’re not livin to the utmost fullest, or just been under a rock. I had half dark chocolate and other half pistachio. And I tried a bit of my date’s half nutella and half vanilla. OH.MY.GOODNESS. Simply put, hands down, the best bloody gelato I have ever had! Skip the yogurtland after dinner and try authenticity!

I’ve been here a few times before so my check-in count is inaccurate, but every visit was good nonetheless! I’ve been here enough to have a favorite, and thus far, it has to be pistachio! I know a few other gelato places, but is by far my favorite. The consistency and creaminess is on point! Their wall menu is in Italian but with English translation so it’s understandable. There are jars/buckets of Nutella in every corner. If you’re not craving gelato, there are other options like coffee, affogato(gelato and cappuccino), cappucino, biscotti/cookies, panna cotta, tiramisu, and more. Definitely a great dessert place owned by such a nice family — highly recommend to grab a scoop of gelato after watching a good movie(it’s right by Regal cinemas). Actually, it’s great to enjoy this place at any time! I admire the Italian authenticity of this gelato joint! Oh, and also a little thing to note, the moment you open the door, there is a blast of air that blows at you from above when you enter. I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of that is, but it truly is refreshing in the kind of heat Florida likes to scorch us with!

AMAZING. Not a huge sweets kind of person but this place is worth the stop! It is a Ma/Pa style shop, so no franchise here. I use to love froyo, like Menchies, if I wanted a little desert, but this gelato shop makes everything else seem so mediocre. The gelato here is so fresh, and the flavors they carry are unique and just melts in your mouth. Way better than some shops I been to on Lincoln Road even. The sweet cream had these little chunks of homemade vanilla biscotti and tasted like fresh condensed milk.(My guilty pleasure) The interior of the shop has a very welcoming feel, with their brightly colored walls and dim lighting and paintings. Can’t wait to try their espresso during the day time. You can unlock a free Italian espresso when you check in. ;)
