Here’s the deal, I love a good large Fajita Steak Beef and Bean Burrito! Don Pico’s has one of the best and I get it every time I eat there, at least once a month. The taste and flavor are unbeatable and I have only had one that compares or beats it and that was at Chuy’s on Westheimer in Houston and it was much more expensive, but larger. Then, in MHO, you cannot beat the salsas and chips AND the large $ 2 Saturday Margaritas. For a great meal it is my favorite Tex-Mex option that is large enough that I actually eat half and take home enough for my meal the next day that microwaves up to an enjoyable delicious encore. Now, it is important to note that EVERY time I eat there the burrito is made the same, tastes the same, for this restaurant and I can’t say what the cook in a different Pico’s restaurant will serve. I ate at another Chuy’s and the burrito was terrible compared to the Westheimer location, too. But this location in Pearland near HWY288 has been excellent and for the most part the salsas, chips, and margaritas have also stayed tasty, too(there have been exceptions and some disappointments with the preparation of the salsas and margaritas, but very few times). The atmosphere is not great with a large eating areas, but the service is excellent. And my wife always get something different for her entrée, and she has no complaints. We enjoy it and recommend it.

Love this place for fast cheap tex-mex and margaritas. Usually always get the fajitas which are decent.

Someone recommended this place to me because of the great margaritas(which were really great). The food was kinda good. I got the chicken fajitas. They were cooked well but sat on a bed of just onions. It came with the usually but no cheese and then at the end they charged me $ 1.50 for a small plate of cheese. Also the service was a bit slow and they weren’t even busy. I still recommend this place because it tasted good but don’t expect anything great except the drinks.

I came here for the all-day Saturday happy hour and I can say I was not disappointed. I ordered the vegetable fajitas for one and it came out piping hot – even got popped by the oil a couple times on my arm. The vegetables were seasoned well but a bit oily. I didn’t eat the onions on the very bottom because they were basically translucent. You get a LOT of food. The margaritas were strong and good. I stuck with frozen mango and took a sip of the regular which wasn’t bad either. The service was pretty quick although I can tell they were understaffed. There were only one other waiter on the floor besides our waitress. With a kiddie basketball team celebrating there and other larger parties, our waitress was pretty bogged down and could have been more attentive. She was very nice though.

Who’s eating this stuff in 2016. YUCK! I knew when the chips and salsa arrived at the table the food wasn’t going to be any good. The salsa was a bland watery mess. We ordered the chicken and beef fajitas for two. Both proteins were low quality and lacked flavor. The chicken was clearly precooked. It was tightly compacted and formed. Like the frozen type you get from the grocery store and nuke. On top of this it was also bland. It was sprinkled with black specs which I can only assume were pepper because it lacked any kind of flavor to be able to definitively tell. The beef was a bit better but still nothing I could stomach. The moment it touched my lips all I could taste was oil and butter. The rice was orange and I do mean orange. Since when is Mexican rice orange? The service was decent and our order came out super quick. But I mean how long does it take to microwave chicken and beef and slice it up? I basically donated money to this place. I refused to take more than 2 bites. On the bright side the dogs seemed to really enjoy it though.

Block from my house so I said why not. Now I know. Ordered take out and the order was totally wrong but hey it is Mexican food. As long as it is beef or chicken I will eat it. The queso was slightly thicker than water. The salsa and meal had zero kick. Get good and drunk on the 99 cent margaritas. You will need them.

I used to come here a lot & the service was great but I haven’t been in months & today the service was terrible. Food was still good & drinks were awesome but I sat for 10 minutes before getting greeted then it took forever to receive my food & drinks

We love this place! We eat here often. The food, service and margaritas are all great. Great value too. Closest taste to Ninfa’s I’ve ever found.

Horrible service. Our server did not bring all of our party of 10 menus. Even worse she didn’t not take everyone’s order. I took it upon my self to order from the bar thinking that would be faster; which is was. But the order was wrong. To make matters worse for those who did get orders taken at the table were incorrect as well. No one at the table had any complaints of the flavor of the food only the lack of. I wouldn’t be so critical of the order being incorrect if it wasn’t met with the lack of a sincere apology. Instead met with bad attitudes. I give it 2 stars only because of the price point and flavor. But hey I guess you get what you pay for. I will not visit this place again.

A friend and I ate at this restaurant and both got very very sick the day after. The food was okay but it’s not worth the pain that came with it.

Great service! They are fast and attentive. They were quick to recommend the fajitas for two $ 14 special on Tuesdays! They serve real cheese and air cream on the side with the fajitas. Refilled water and sodas before we could even ask. Good chips, great salsa and cheap!

It’s been a while since I was last here, but it doesn’t seem as good as I remember it used to be. And I used to frequent Don Picos. The first thing I noticed that was the difference in the green sauce they serve with the chips. It used to be thicker and creamier, but now it seems like it’s more watered down. We even asked one of the managers if the recipe has changed, and he said that he didn’t think so, but that he’d follow up with the person that makes it. It almost seems like they added tomatillo to it, which I could see making it less creamy. I ordered the Osmin’s Favorite which comes with a fajita and a chicken flauta. The food is still good, but I noticed my chicken flauta was more soggy than crispy, and i’ve ordered this several times before and it was always perfectly crispy. Portions seem smaller, but that doesn’t bother me since I could never finish everything on my plate after all the chips and eating my entrée. I noticed they also no longer do the 99 cent margaritas, which is one of the reasons we used to come here regularly, but for only $ 2 you get a bigger portion of margarita, so that’s probably more worth it. Overall the food is decent and fairly priced, although it seems like quality has dropped a little. The staff is still super attentive as busy as the place is, and it’s still worth stopping into if you want something inexpensive and still filling. Sadly though for me, I may need to find a replacement for my Don Picos fix. And i’ll definitely miss the original green sauce.

Food is mediocre. Don’t expect anything spectacular but they do Tex-mex staples ok. Come here only for the margaritas! They have many choices to choose from & are priced well.

I ventured in to this restaurant with some friends in hopes of finding decent Mexican food in pearland. Now I’m realizing I should refrain from having optimism for all places. We were seated under the fan, so it was super cold. We opted to turn it off, and received a brief stank face in response. I ordered a frozen margarita($ 2, not bad) but was kind of disappointed. The alcohol taste was barely noticeable. my second margarita was on the rocks, and while it was a premade concoction, it was luckily stronger but bitter. My food was just sad in general. I ordered a soft chicken taco with my plate, and received a soft beef taco instead. The charro beans had a legitimate taste of stewed Vienna sausages. Not exactly sure how they managed that. The cheese enchilada was decent enough, but nothing special. The tamale was a tad soft, and only okay. Overall, I would probably not return. Wish the food quality was better.

Cheap happy hour margaritas and the food is very average. I guess you get what you pay for.
