It’s ok place. We paid $ 50+ for tortilla soup big bowl, fajitas for one, small tortilla soup, lemonade, and ice teas. The only thing I liked is there is no waiting time before to get your table.

First time here. Asked our server Tisha for recommendations, she said fajitas or nachos. I tried the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. They were delicious! Definitely coming back!

I’ve been to Lupe 4 or 5 times now and I don’t hate it, but I don’t necessarily like it either. When I go out to have Mexican food I hope for good quesadillas and even better margaritas at good value of course. The quesadillas are pretty fantastic, while the margs are sub par. All the while they’re fairly expensive and not worth it all in the end. My customer service has varied from good to not so good. Just a very average place in my mind. A cozy in between of Gringos and Taco Bell.

Lupe Tortilla is one of my favorite Tex Mex places! There is one thing that I order and have never ordered anything else for myself. I always order the Three Pepper Cheese Steak. It is amazing! It comes in 2 sizes. Usually the smaller portion is plenty with leftovers most likely happening. It is a strip of carne asade with melted cheese and 3 types of peppers on top(hence the name). I love spicy, but beware of the heat content of each pepper. Now I can handle the jalapeño and Serrano, but the habanero will sneak up on you! The meat coupled with the blanket sized, delicious flour tortillas is a perfect match. My wife usually ordered the chipotle smoked ribs which are tasty as well. I subtracted one star because I am just not a fan of their very mild salsa and beans they serve with chips. Why beans with chips? Just doesn’t seem right!

Always good food, nice service. Never too crowded, always a fun cantina-style atmosphere. The renovations they completed to the bar and patio area in he past year have made a major positive impact in the atmosphere. We love Jose at the bar… His sangria margs with blood oranges canNOT be beat! They just get better & better.

Considering the prices and appeal I assumed my food would be delicious but this restaurant fell short. The food was overlooked and/or wrong. In addition. The service was slow and not very informative of options. I believe they overcharge for food and drinks and don’t measure to what a great restaurant is.

Beyond Delicious! I stopped by here on my way home & it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I started off with a frozen margarita. Then, had the chips & salsa. The chips were bland & I had to add salt/pepper for taste. The salsa was muy caliente(spicy). In fact, it was so spicy my nose started to water… but, it was very tasty. Alongside the salsa, they give you a cup of charro beans, which are very well seasoned & tasty. Now, for the entrée! I ordered the Shrimp & Poblano Enchiladas with rice & yes, more charro beans(I love charro beans)! My mouth fell in love with the delightful flavor of the cheese sauce, peppers, onions & shrimp. I mean the flavored from this dish seemed to dance a sweet melody on my tongue. I will definitely not pass this place up again without stopping. With the awesome bar service, delicious food & reasonable prices, they have a lifetime customer in me! Bravo Lupe Tortilla!!!

I had the barbacoa tacos, and my husband had the hatch green chile enchiladas. Both were really good. The service was much better than usual; there wasn’t a wait, and the food came out quickly. The only issue I have is that it’s so expensive. With all the excellent taquerias around, it’s hard to justify $ 45 fajitas for two…

I have not been so pleased with the vegetarian options offered on a menu in a long time. I had a hard time deciding. I chose the vegetarian fajitas. I was amazed at the freshness and selection of veggies. Grilled Portobello mUshrooms, sweet red peppers, poblano peppers, onion, topped with a hot pepper wrapped in handmade corn tortillas made my mouth water with all of the flavor combinations. Tasted like they picked the veggies fresh from the garden and grilled them just for me! The Meal was accompanied by vegetarian black beans, fresh guacamole, and a choice of a fresh veggies of the day. I chose the asparagus. Vegetarian should not miss the selection and freshness of this food!

The best experience ever!!! My family and I were very pleased with the customer service, quality of food and the taste. This will definitely be a restaurant that I will recommend and come to again. Chris was our beautiful hostess. She truly made us feel like we were her only customers. I would recommend that if you done here ask for her as your hostess. She will not disappoint you. She earned the tip that we gave her.

Fajitas and margaritas, delish! Great staff and servers & the bean do that comes with the chips is awesome! I will say the overall ambiance makes up for whatever some of the food is missing. Lupe is a solid place because it’s consistently good.

LUPE, YOUARETHEBOMB!!! I always ask for you whenever I’m in Houston and I’m never disappointed. A pound of steak fajitas is good enough for me! it runs about $ 40 but you’re suppose to share it between 2 other people. The steak is deliciously marinated and grilled!!! you get so much flavor in every piece! Another plus is their giant tortilla which, does not even taste like a tortilla. Its a hybrid between bread and a crêpe! Its so gooooood! I call it a burrito instead of a fajita taco when wrapped because its so big!!! I could get full on one of those but I always just munch on the second one. I fill my tortilla up with a whole bunch of meat though. They can get pretty big, as big as the chipotle burrito! over stuffed and flowing! :)

I never say no to mexican food… So I know my texmex. Immediately upon arriving I was seated and greeted by a friendly waitress. If it’s your first time they give you a sample of the tortillas(don’t abuse this! Very generous). They bring out fresh salsa with a little bit of heat but not overpowering and refried beans with the chips which is a nice change of pace from your usual appetizer. Not being super hungry that day I only got a chicken fajita taco a la carte on corn tortillas. Both the corn and flour tortillas are made in house and delicious! My only complaint is that I ordered from the regular menu which says the fajita tacos in the entrée come with pico, guac, and sour cream but the a la carte taco just comes plain with meat and tortilla. That would’ve been good to know BEFORE ordering. Will come back for a full meal!

Alright, perhaps coming here a week after dining in Juarez, Mexico is unfair. Because there is NO comparison, so I’m not going to rate these guys against the authentic experience scale. The drinks were nice and strong and the queso fundido with chorizo was alright. I do love the fajitas here and the salsa and chips are really good too. I’ll have to space out my visits and my trips so they aren’t so close together next time…

GREATCUSTOMERSERVICEGOES A LONGWAY We had a group of 12 guys for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. When they said no reservations on weekend evening, I started to look for alternative restaurants, but the guest of honor was having none of that. I spoke to one of the managers to get some advise and he had two suggestions. One was to call him a couple hours ahead of time just to let him know we were still coming in. Two, he suggested someone from our party get there 45 minutes ahead of time to put us on the list. The manager sat a couple tables next to each other around 6pm so they would leave around the same time. It worked out perfectly. Between the bar tabs and the table, we had about 30 margaritas. The food was great as always and the service was too. There was plenty of visible management checking on people and helping out, which I really like. I’ve been to restaurants where managers will let a server drown instead of helping them out, and this place wasn’t like that at all. Just a quick note about the bar. It was really crowded with people waiting for tables, but the bartenders were making an effort to get drinks to people quickly and not just to the servers picking up drinks for their tables. They definitely earned the 5 stars on this visit for making this a great evening.

I hate to give an average review because the head chef came to my table to ask how my meal was. I was honest with him. The enchilada verde’s tomatillo sauce seemed bottled to me. The sauce was just sour. It seemed to me that it needed some sweetness to it or something else. I don’t know how to describe it but this is not like other tomatillo sauces in other restaurants that I really like. The rice serving was small. It was unecessarily spicy(perhaps too much pepper) and dry. Rice is cheap and they could be more generous with the serving and not let it dry so much. There were too many pieces of green peppers on it too. The food doesn’t come with beans because there were borracho beans served in the beginning along with the chips and salsa. I have to give this restaurant credit for the borracho beans and salsa. Furthermore, they do offer baked chips, but you’ll have to wait a long time for them. By the time the waiter was getting ready to bring me the baked chips, I had eaten enough of the regular ones and didn’t want them. Jose, the head chef, was sorry I didn’t enjoy my meal. He offered a dessert and comped my meal. I believe the restaurant is over priced. Don’t expect to see anything for less than $ 9 on the lunch menu.
