Got my nails done by BBNails in Pearland. They worked hard cause I’m super picky and can be vocal. Well… needless to say … I love it! Definitely a great place to go for manicures. The owner did the work on my nails and was so patient. The original color I chose kept dripping and bleeding over my cuticles. So I went with black. The technician was very detailed and very meticulous. I’m super satisfied with the service I received from BB Nails. Thank you!!!

After visiting several other nail salons in Pearland, BBs offer good customer service, a clean environment, and quality products. They pride themselves on providing quality service, not quantity. Therefore, they have few employees and it’s best to make appointments to avoid waiting. I find that Taylor knows her returning customers by name, which is uncommon.

I have utilized BB nails for a few months on and off with a few encounters that gave me pause… But I decided to continue to go because it’s easy to walk in and not have a wait (but that is not a good thing always). I received a refill, pedi and brow wax (brows are consistently done well)… Which is really reasonable about $ 48 — $ 55 plus tip… but the Customer service is always a bit odd, because they are not very personable… But ok, my nails are rocking I can deal with no smiles and a few growls.
However, you get what you pay for so… refill was done on a Sunday nails broken Monday, then pedicure polish chipped by Thursday. Consistently this occurred with repairs and refills broken /​chipped nails. The polish recedes, so I would go back for polish in between refills. Needless to say
attention to detail is just not there. Although the salon is empty the mani/​pedi are not combined adding an additional hour to the service, as 4 others are on Facebook… Unfortunately, they are not aware (or care) how to ensure each client has a great experience.

Excellent customer service extended to my grandmother and I during our mani/​pedi outing! First, the associate offered us a beverage choice of water, soda or wine. Nice touch! The pedicure spa experience was amazing. Extremely relaxing and pleasant. The team was very attentive and helpful throughout each service and transition from chair to dryer, etc. Highly recommended!

This was my first time coming over here to get my nails done. It was 6:35pm and they suppose to close at 7pm. I walk in and I asked to get my nails done and there was no costumers in there and the lady at the front desk told me they can’t do my nails because they close. Ummmmm it 635pm and the sign clearly says they close at 7. I can see if they still have people in there getting their nails done and I would understand why they couldn’t take me in But no one was even in there but the three employees that works there and they couldn’t do my nails. Really? Wow! Never coming back here!

BB Nails is the new name for Roxstar. To be honest, based on my experience yesterday, I’m not sure it’s fair to the new team to be saddled with the old reviews. Much of the shop is the same, but the new management appears to understand staffing. I was actually able to walk in and get service — what a concept. Now let’s talk about that service, the 2 girls that assisted me both spoke English — as in I could understand both of them clearly. The primary person working on me was a young lady name Trinity, she did the best manicure job I’ve every had. As I watched other customers around me, all seemed very pleased with what they got, in fact as some customers walked out, some other customers walked in and asked about what they got because the work was so good (that never happened with the old team).

This rating was hard because the girl that did my nails was really good and neat with them. She cleaned my nails beds and cuticles up nicely. For that, I want to give her a 4 out of 5, but that is one of the only good things about here.
Some other pros were the chairs and pedicure chairs were comfy. The place looked well kept. They are on the cheaper side of costs for manis and pedis.
The cons, there was only 2 ladies working in a Saturday! And customers were coming in and calling. They needed at least 2 other girls… One customer almost left without getting anything because they booked me with the lady she wanted and never booked her! Then, since I am a shellac girl, I obviously love a quality and quantity line of shellac colors. With that said, they maybe had 20. Now that may sound like a lot if you don’t know shellac, but it is not. Most places now carry 50+ shades and glitter shellac too. So don’t come here if you are needing a special color because they just have all the basic colors, nothing in between. They do designs but I can’t really comment on that, since I didn’t try it. Luckily I just needed a basic color because my nails were in dyer need of it.
All in all I would come back again if I have to, but only to Helen. This is not my first choice I’m nail salons. If they get more staff and more selections in shellac, then I will def reconsider.

This place had good reviews, so I was excited to go. My friend and I went and her daughter came along. She sat quietly for most of the time and got up and quietly twiddled around toward the end.
Pros:
My pedi lasted a really long time. Whatever they use for the topcoat here is great!
They didn’t talk. At all. So, if the gossiping bothers you and makes you paranoid (not me) then this is your place.
Nice uniforms.
Cons:
She did not remove my callouses.
I had a glitter coat to layer on top for the 4^th of July. She pretended to forget about it, asked me after the topcoat if I still wanted it, and acted a little put out when I said that I did.
My friend wanted her toes all blinged out with rhinestones (which is cute), HOWEVER my nail lady cut my pedi short (no hot towels and short leg massage) to go do her stones. No one replaced my nail lady. I ended up putting on my own shoes (totally dumb for a nail salon) and having to walk myself over to the dryer without having it offered.
My friend’s white polish quickly yellowed and looked bad, but stayed on!
My nail lady scolded my friends little girl for touching a chair (not being noisy or hurting anything or running around… just touching a chair).
I will not go back unless I need a pedi that will stay and I will for sure not have the lady with the light penciled in eyebrows again.

Just ok. not enuff staff but a very clean nail shop. the older lady did my nails n she was very nice. One of my nails broke 2 hours after i left. i went back the same day n she fixed it @ no charge of course. I wud def go back for my spa pedicure.

sadly to say, this place of business no longer meets my expectations. from being once a loyal, faithful customer I have no desire to return. I have been turned away and asked to return another day several times due to lack of help or whatever the reason maybe. I am very disappointed because in the past I have always enjoyed my visits there. Farewell Roxstar. I sure hope you resolve whatever issues that may be going on.

Being new in town i was nervous to find a new nail salon. Roxstar was close to my house and had a good review so i thought i would give it a try.
First impression: BEAUTIFUL décor and nice new machines and furniture!
I think it’s a nice touch that all the employees are wearing matching smocks… The appearance over-​all is very classy!
Helen did my manicure and i always get a french manicure which i love the look of, but they don’t last long… She suggested to put a top layer of the clear gel over the top to protect it… Such a smart idea! i don’t know why nobody ever suggested doing that before!
My nails look great and the price was lower than i expected. I’m very very very happy with the whole experience! Can’t wait to go back for a pedicure!
