Excellent food! Awesome owner! Servers are horribly slow and not attentive. Food is awesome! If I was grading solely on the food quality and the owner I would give 10 stars out of 5, unfortunately I’m only giving 3 stars because the staff doesn’t share the owners sense of urgency and friendlyness.

Man oh Man oh Man, what a gem of a place. All I have to say is «Fish Tacos»!!! Can’t wait to try Bang Bang Tacos. Guaranteed, you can’t go wrong at Taqueria Del Mar.

Favorite menu items: bang bang taco, tamarindo burrito, tortilla soup, shrimp enchilada with the citrus cream sauce, taco salad (ladies will love this one), calamari (super crispy and big size), and house guac.
That bang bang taco… On point with the margarita del mar. Don’t leave without getting the ice cream either. Also, the burritos are huge. Every item on the menu is unique and there is something for every tastebud, just ask the server. You can spend under $ 25 for two for a satisfying meal and still afford dessert.
Overall, this place has a great feel for families (there’s even a kiddie play area), or just hanging out at the bar with friends. TVs in every view for football, friendly bartenders (Reid is really nice :)), drink specials, Tuesday trivia at 7, free HOT chips and salsa, fresh ingredients, this place is the bomb.
FYI, if you come on Tuesday for trivia night, come early before 7! They place gets packed!

Been in the area for years, but this is the first time we visited Taquiera del Mar. Exceeded expectations. Food was wonderful, from the chips and salsa to the tacos to the entrée. Taco salad was perfect size and very tasty, especially for such a standard item. My wife had the pomegranate margarita and said it was excellent.
The ambiance was nothing like I expected… chic, modern, warm, full of energy.

This is our favorite neiborhood restaurant, always great food and atmosphere!!! It is kids friendly with little play area for the kids. We have been here many times and the food is always up to the standard. They have great tacos, salsa and margaritas! Highly recommend this place if you enjoy this type of food!

This place is great! I’m a taco fiend and the menu is off the chain. They offer much more than just your regular tacos. Don’t get me wrong they have all the traditional styles, plus stuff as far out as a philly cheese steak, buffalo chicken, and a bbq pork with Cole slaw.
We came on a Friday night and it was packed. Luckily we came before 7 when the line grew out the door even in the pouring rain. The service was good and the waitress and bartender were both very friendly. We will be back!

We stopped by here for a quick Sunday bite and also because we found a Scoutmob deal.
The tacos were very good, but the sides left something to be desired. I like the fried fish taco, as well as the short rib taco — both were great. My husband really liked his Buffalo Chicken taco.
The location is in a little strip mall, so we didn’t have high expectations, but the décor is actually very cute and they have lots of TVs for watching sports.
Overall a good little place if you’re in the area.

Great tacos (able to mix and match), great food. Our family has been 3 times in last year and each time a great experience. Friendly service, variety, good drinks & food, casual. Give it a try.

Hi, it’s me again, checking out another Mexican spot! I found this restaurant on Scoutmob while in the Norcross area. 50% off up to $ 10! Awesome deal! i had 2 tacos, the Buffalo Chicken taco and the Philly chicken taco! OH MY GOSH… yum. 1^st off the tacos are huge, they’re on a 6inch tortilla with fresh meat, sauces and veggies. I also had a house frozen margarita that definitely pack a punch! I would definitely try this place again while in the area. My server Giizzii was awesome btw!

Visited while I was in Atlanta and had the Thai Fish Tacos. Absolutely Incredible!!! Not to mention the service! Will definitely return on my next trip to ATL!!!

Best fresh Mexican place within 20 miles. Tacos are awesome, service very consistent and the margaritas are awesome!
Try the braised kale, the fish taco grilled and any of the beef dishes — they are all good.
On Sundays they do $ 1 Tecate beers and have other drink specials. Also have great lunch specials daily so the menu never gets old.
Finally if the owner has his patented home made ice cream of ANY flavor — get it! Best kept secret in Peachtree Corners!

Hip industrial interior.
Taste and service clearly priority.
Prices are fair — especially when you consider the location and the competition.
Bottom line: cost a little more than Chipotle, but it’s light years ahead in taste and selection.
Also: try the Kale

This place is great, convenient and easy to park at. Get the pitcher of Margaritas for $ 20. This is a deal.
It gets a little loud sometimes but all in all a great place to hang out.

I have found a new favorite taco place! Since moving to the Atlanta area 2.5 years ago, I have become a huge fan of tacos… and have tried them in a lot of places… this is now my favorite!
So far, I have tried three of their taco flavors: Carnitas, Bang Bang Shrimp, Chicken Filet.
The Carnitas is a standard taco at most of the places I have been to… and this is the best one I have eaten… it is very tasty, juicy and tender… just really, really good. Of course, Carnitas is a braised pork shoulder… yummy!
Bang Bang Shrimp is a shrimp (duh!) taco where the shrimp are flash fried with a spicy sauce, crisp lettuce and pico de gallo… a very good shrimp taco and goes well with the Carnitas one as a pair!
Chicken Filet… when I got this one, I was actually talking to the owner of the restaurant… and he referred to it as their «ode to Chick Fil A»…so…it is a chicken with «coastal» slaw, pickle, bacon and BBQ sauce. While, to me, the BBQ sauce took it out of the Chick Fil A realm, it was an outstanding taco… I really, really like it!
Service is pretty standard… and they are a Mexican restaurant… so they have a wider variety than just the tacos… which is good for wifey… she is not a huge fan of tacos… she had a burrito… and really liked it!
Oh…their Charro beans… BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!

The light snow started falling this evening, and we wanted tasty food close to home. It took us no time at all to settle on Taqueria del Mar.
We arrived on the early side, probably around 6 pm. We found a seat right away, but by the time we left, there was a short wait for seating.
Tonight, I ordered the short rib taco and the pork shoulder taco with a combination of rice and beans. The short rib taco was the stand out for me — perfectly savory and flavorful. The pork shoulder was good, too, with fruit giving it a nice twist. The rice and refried beans were a great side. My husband’s charro beans were even better, with a great smoky flavor. He says the oyster po’boy taco was his favorite of the night.
Great, attentive service. Casual, fun vibe. Lots of families and groups. I’m sure we will return often.

Good food here. You wouldn’t expect it given the rest of the shopping center. This places take on trendy taco spots does surprisingly well.
* The queso here has a very watery consistency but taste is still good. I’ve gone through the staple items of any taco joint, fish, carne, shrimp and Taqueria del Mar does well with each of these. Their braised beef is okay but I found the braised shoulder to be much more enjoyable. The chili is hit or miss and the chicken tortilla soup is decent. A few people in our group had the burrito based plates and it did not look enticing at all. I feel the food would be 3 stars in any other neighborhood but it does well in this location.
* The service. This is Taqueria del Mar’s weakest point. It seems they are perpetually understaffed with each visit. Though it’s clear most of the servers are really trying, expect the service to be sub-​par.
Pretty straightforward food and experience. The fusion taco scene is much welcomed from time to time and this place does well.

3 words… OFF THE CHAIN! So i had a scout mob special to eat here for lunch. Dude!!! When I tell you the pork taco and the cheese steak taco had me dreaming about 2 Mexican men in Cancun, feeding me tacos till I pop I speak the truth. Never in my life have my taste buds danced over a taco until now. I also got the enchilada which was very good but I didn’t give me foodgasms like the tacos did. I have eaten here 3 days in a row since. Everything tasted FRESH! The service was wonderful. So much so I came back for dinner and I don’t even live nearby. Seriously, if you are in the area or not… you must check this place out. The location is weird (in a grocery store shopping center), but thanks to scout mob, Ive found my new mexican lunch spot!

My coworkers and I like to enjoy the occasional taco Tuesday and most of the time we choose Taqueria Del Mar to feed the need.
This spot is located in an Ingles shopping center, which made me skeptical initially for some reason but my coworkers raved about this place so much that I decided to just go with it. The décor is super cute and the service is always fast and friendly but the tacos definitely steal the show!
They have a plentiful list of inventive tacos as well as other menu items but I always opt for the vegetarian bean tacos. They are served with vegetarian refried beans, guacamole, and poblano peppers. Yum! I normally get the taco special which includes two tacos, a side, and a drink. They have a delicious braised kale option as one of their sides. It makes me feel like I’m being healthy.
I have only been here for lunch since it’s close to work but they do have a full bar and I hear they have great margaritas! Two thumbs up for another great lunch option in Norcross.
