Best ice cream. Ever. Four of each all ordered a different flavor and taste tested. Every flavor was a hit.

Never had a problem here! Great Icecream

I had my first taste today thanks to a great coworker (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate & coffee).. BEST ice cream i have ever had in my life! I’m not from this area so I had no idea about this place.. but I’ll be paying them weekly visits this summer.. it is worth the 30 min drive!

Stopped in mid-​February on a Sunday mid-​afternoon and had to wait in a 15 minute line. Are you kidding me?
Anyway, my wife got a cone w chocolate peanut butter and coffee. She enjoyed both — creamy, not super sweet, quite tasty.
I got a hot fudge brownie sundae w chocolate peanut butter and Milky Way.
Chocolate peanut butter was very peanut buttery w chocolate chip wedges. Quite good.
Milky Way was a bit sweet w some waves of caramel. Overall it was okay, but mild, not that flavorful.
Hot fudge was really good.
Whipped cream was good — of moderate thickness.
Warmed brownie was thin and fudgy.
Great ice cream.

Tom Gould is the MAN… I remember him hosting the I’ve cream socials at the schools. So friendly so kind. This place is open year round… So many flavors and toppings to make your head spin. Fan for life.

Very good ice cream. I had the strawberry and mocha chip. Service on the other hand was glacial. I was there on a Friday night in January at 8 PM. Three people working. They needed four. I almost left after standing in line for 10 minutes. I should have and gone over to Richardsons which is better managed.

Unfortunately no place to sit, but the people who work there are really friendly and we just stood around for a while and chatted with them.

The best, hands down. Tom Gould is a great guy (owner) always giving back to the community. The ice cream is top quality, huge portions. Can’t say enough good things.

Delicious ice cream, generous portion, and a great price! I tried the pumpkin flavor and it was to die for. They have a large selection of flavors so there is something for everybody. The staff was very friendly as well and made great recommendations. Wish it was closer to Boston.

The ice cream was OK, but the service was bad. The girl behind the counter was rude and acted annoyed with the one question I had. The girl also stopped the ice cream on to of their cart and proceeded to pick it up and give it to me. I won’t come back here. Too many other places to choose from without the attitude.

Great portion sizes for the price. Especially compared to other local ice cream shops.

Froyo just as delicious as the ice cream minimal difference, except 250 CALORIES LESS per serving

Beats most of the other local places to smithereens with smooth creamy quality ice cream.

Really awesome ice cream and extremely generous sizes! Black Raspberry is my favorite, but I also dig their Coffee Oreo. My only complaint is that the parking lot is really tight and can be a bit of a cluster on busy summer nights. My advice is to just park on the side street and walk the extra couple of feet.

Tasty ice cream shop near Salem, MA. It’s similar to Kimball Farm. The portions are generous and there are a lot of flavors to choose from.
There are lines drawn on the ground by the entrance, seems like a place that would have huge lines during popular hours…

Tredwells is absolutely the best ice cream shop in Salem, hands down. Their birthday cakes are so delicious and are completely customizable if you call ahead so you can choose what cake and the ice cream flavors (you can have each layer as a different flavor). They are always super nice (which should be expected from anyone working in a nice cream shop)!

I’ve been living up on the northshore for 3 years now. I just recently went to treadwell’s because we were driving past, and I figured why not.
really subpar ice cream. I think the shaw’s brand of ice cream would’ve been way better. I got the cake batter ice cream in a waffle cone with buncha crunch. My first disappointment was that the crunch a bunch was not actually the crunch a bunch that you used to buy at the theatres. It was more like stale heath topping. ick.

The staff informed me that they would put my cone in a cup because the topping wouldn’t stick. Understandable, I figured I could just dip the cone into the topping. Well when I pulled up the cone, the ice cream wasn’t even pushed inside the cone, it was just placed in the cup. I had to scoop the ice cream into the cone myself. I ended up throwing the whole mess away and just eating my waffle cone plain.
My boyfriend got moose tracks. I tasted it and it was also nothing special.
If you actually want good ice cream, stick to Richardson’s in middleton. That, or just buy a quart at the grocery store.

I don’t know why it took me so long to try this place for as long as I have been going to Salem. I always drive by it, and I love ice cream. So what was I waiting for?!
Huge portions!
Very good flavors for the ice cream. I mean both in variety and the flavors are strong without being artificial tasting.
Prices are über reasonable!
The jumbo frappé floats are INSANE. You can mix and match your flavors all you want, too.
Bonus? They are open all year round. Yeehaw!
