Stopped in to get something quick to eat. Placed my order, paid for it, and sat down to wait for the sub to be made. Took almost 40 minutes to be ready. The place wasn’t even busy. Only one other person in the store. The sub wasn’t even good. Pizza is OK there. Pretty expensive though.

I’ve gone here several times and it’s generally been OK(albeit a bit pricey). This time, I ordered two XL cheese pizzas and the cheese tasted«off.» I don’t know if it was spoiled but it tasted awful. I’d already gotten it home and didn’t really have time to call for a replacement but I’m not sure if I want to go back there again. I will say the food was ready when I got there(they gave me a 20 minute estimate and that’s when I arrived) and the service was friendly. **and I see they’ve gone out of business. I can’t say I’m surprised.

We ordered the pizza party for my daughters second birthday. We ordered an additional pepperoni pizza that we never received BUT after looking at the receipt we were never charged for. The salad was huge and the dessert tray was pretty good, I don’t think it feeds 20 people but it was enough for our guests with the birthday cake. We paid $ 100 which would have been great but we barely had enough pizza for 17 people, 5 of them kids. They were kind enough to slice the pizza into smaller slices. But order more if you have more than 15 adults. The pizza was delicious!!! And we would definitely order from them again.

Just ordered for the second time and am once again EXTREMELY disappointed. The food itself is ok, but the customer service is absolutely horrendous. They got our order wrong both times and actually lied to us about what we said. We had ordered an extra large pizza and they told us we ordered a large. Then the manager proceeded to say that they would deliver an extra large and only charge us for a large. When we got our pizza it was a large. We even measured it at 16″ just to justify our anger. We are eating the large pizza waiting for them to redeliver the second soda they«forgot». When we called back to speak with the manager again she has some how become MIA on a delivery order, but is not the delivery person. We will never order from them again and strongly discourage anyone else from ordering there too.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Called in an order and was given the time frame of 45 minutes to 1 hour. An hour and a half goes by and we finally call. They’re closed and someone answered the phone and said all the orders were already delivered. No dinner for us I guess. Never ordering from here again!

This place is a joke. Ordered two pizzas at 7:00PM and they told me it would be 40 minutes. After one hour passed I called and they said they were on the way. They never showed up and closed at 9PM without ever delivering my pizza. What a disgrace of an establishment…

While being sick I put through an order for a chicken parm calzone and a fry online. When I gave my father the order number to pick up the calzone the women at the front desk said there was no order for it. Then miraculously found it after 5 minutes and didn’t apologize. She sent my father home without the French fry. He went back to get it and when we opened the calzone it was full of grease. The second we cut it open the grease flew out like a river. The bread part of the calzone was so soggy all over and was not very good at all. My family wouldn’t even eat it. We decided to just throw away the calzone and eat the french fries but when we opened the fries they were so cold and soggy we just tossed those as well :/not very good!

Sal’s food is okay, better than the competitors. However, their slices seem to be way better than ordering a large pizza. And their homemade desserts are on point!

The pizza is okay at best, and disgusting at worst. But don’t bother coming here. It’s a waste of money for what your getting. Very slow service, sloppy cooking, dirty tables and floor etc. It honestly comes across like the staff don’t even care about the terrible state of disarray that this restaurant is in. Multiple times they have messed up orders, turning simple«pepperoni» pizzas into cheese pizzas which isn’t a big deal until you are told you are wrong by both the cashier and the cook who both get defensive about it. Yikes. I don’t wanna be part of this drama.

I do not review any place until my third time there. Consistently poor with service and food. 1. First time ordering, didn’t have half the specialty pizza ingredients then ordered two pizzas, only to have one delivered. 2. Order two pizzas, they came after over and hour and cold. 3. Order pizza and cannoli. Delivery took over an hour with a quote of ½ hour. Then they packed cannoli on top of hot pizza so they were melted. Sent them back with driver and he said he’d return. No call, no show. Sorry Sal, go back to the North End and start over!

The pizza is great, but the service is not. After calling in an order for 3 pizzas, I was surprised to learn that they had not even started making them until I arrived. It was not busy; I was the only customer. Normally that would not have been a big deal, but not one of the employees apologized for forgetting about my order. Again, I was the only customer. A «sorry for forgetting your pizzas» would have gone a long way but the employees just did not seem happy to be there.

I wish this place was better than it always ends up being which is why I’m finally writing this review. I’m giving up on them in a sense. I’ll still go there occasionally for pizza but it won’t be my go to place anymore. Some of the reasons: — The pizza is Ok, not great not bad. A little to doughy and a little too lacking on the sauce — Multiple times when I have stopped in they don’t have cheese slices available for purchase(yet have all other kinds of slices) — Last time I had the chicken parm and meatball parm both were dried out and had barely any sauce on them(not sure if this is their way of saving money but it takes away from the subs). — Ordered pizzas a 2 weeks ago to eat there. We were all forced to eat with our jackets on because it was so cold in the restaurant and the staff behind the counter didn’t seem to care even though we had little kids with us. This place could use a management refresh or at least a change in attitude and some effort in pleasing the customer along with some upgrading of their food and they could have people lined up at lunch and dinner. I don’t hold out much hope as the staff behind the counter don’t seem to care that much.

Sal’s can be hit or miss. They claim to deliver, but unless you’re within a few blocks they usually won’t. I think their pizza is pretty good. It’s a heavier pie. Not pan pizza, but not thin crust, either. Their large is a 19″ so it’s one of the biggest around. Best bets are meatball or chicken and tomato, margherita, or meat lovers. My biggest issue with Sal’s is that the time frames they give you when you order, and their likeliness to be near the time frame they give you can vary an awful lot. They may tell you 20 minutes, but it’s 40 before you’re done.

Sal’s has two major draws that keep me returning, despite their pizza not being my favorite around. First, it’s one of very few places in the ‘burbs where you can walk in and get pizza by the slice. Not very common outside the more urban areas I’ve found. Second, as anyone familiar with the Sal’s franchise already knows, the«slices» are really ¼ of a pizza and there are usually 4 – 6 different pies in the case ready to go, so you’re never stuck with just cheese or pepperoni to choose from. A «slice» and a fountain soda for just over $ 5 is a pretty good deal in my book. The pizza itself is ok. Not the best I’ve ever had, but not the worst either. I think it comes down to the crust for me. I find it kind of tasteless, though a side of marinara or garlic oil to dip in might change my story. I’ll have to ask if they have these available next time. What I like most about this Sal’s is its convenient location for a cheap casual date night that you never have to leave the plaza for. Nothing fancy here, but when cash is short, a slice at Sal’s, followed by dessert at Zinga, and rounded out with cocktails at Stonewood doesn’t break the bank.

The plaza in which this place is situated is new — therefore this place can’t have been there that long. They’re still working out the kinks in terms of staffing and food. On the instance I was there, there was this fat old couple hemming and hawing about their wait and that they’ve experienced the same issues before.(Maybe Jesus was telling them they don’t need another Pizza.) There’s a LOT of competition in the area — so time will tell if they last.

As a wheelchair user Sals Pizza in Peabody is very accessible and in my opinion meets the Ma. accessibility code requirements, bathrooms, counter top heights, tables and seating… The HP parking is not close to the front door though. The pizza was good and it is a big slice and another time I had a steak bomb and it was really good! It’s in a good location and the prices are reasonable. Check’em out!

What a pleasant surprise. Sal’s Pizza in Peabody is a very viable lunch spot for people that work or live in that neck of the woods. Their prices are very reasonable, with filling wraps at $ 5 and their slices of pizza(a quarter of a pie) between $ 4 and $ 6. The pizza is on the dry side, as it is conservatively sauced, but very tasty. I actually prefer the variety of sandwiches and wraps to the pie, due as much to price as to fresh preparation and ingredients. Overall, a very worthwhile option.

I ordered a large pizza with pepperonis and jalapeño peppers. The pizza was phenomenal. The guy who made it even opened up the box to show me its awesomeness before I brought it home. They have a big, nice TV that you can watch if you want to eat there. I didn’t eat there but while I sat and waited, I noticed the place was clean. I will definitely go back there at some point. Only reason for 4⁄5 is that the pizza was like 17 bucks.

Sal’s Pizza… Well I used to think it was a half way decent growing pizza chain, however I think they food has really gone down hill over the last few years. The dough they use just tastes cheap and has a very dry overly floured taste to it. They are known for their 3lb large pizza, ok but its 3 lbs of cheap dough. Which I at one time they used higher quality ingredients. I ordered a slice of Hawaiian pizza(.25 of pizza, 2 slices technically) and soda. Ok that was $ 7 which its basically a down town Boston price(in other words I thought that was a little high) The ham was dry, there next to no sauce on it and %25 of the pizza was crust(with that low quality dough). I was really on the fence between a 1 star ranking and 2. I went with a 2 for the following reasons, this location is pretty clean, the parking lot was easy to get in and out off, and at one time put out a higher quality product. So 2 stars it is. I hope they improve.
