This place is horrible
The décor sticks.
The dinner tables were all dirty and smelly. I gave the woman that worked here a suggestion on the pancakes and when we came back next time pancakes were still the same. the pancakes are disgusting. The food looks bad. And they were put behind a gas station no surprise.
I WOULD NOT EAT HERE EVER AGAIN, EVEN IF YOU PAY ME A THOUSAND $DOLLARS $

I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this place today. How has this gem slipped under my radar all this time? I got eggs Benedict florentine and my husband had the tuna club and we both loved it! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. This is our new favorite spot for breakfast and lunch!

The Restraunt is clean, roomy, and appealing to the eye. We were seated quickly and our order was taken shortly after. The waitress was friendly and helpful contrary to other reviews I saw waitresses greeted with smiles and very happy customers with the service they were receiving. The coffee was served with cold cream. often the cream is served warm in my experience. Coffee refills were offered as fast as I finished my coffee and our food was served before we would have been seated if we had stayed at Red’s where our wait was 45 min. We got hash omelets that were delicious served with toast and home fries that we both loved. People can do toast wrong however here it was perfect. The portion size was large not itty bitty.
This place did not have a long line or wait but I hope this reviews helps to change that just a little bit as I do not want the line to ever equal Red’s haha.

I eat here almost every week! The food in fantastic and the prices are as well. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Kaylas Diner!!!

Moved to the area a couple of months ago and this is right down the street. I finally tried it out this morning and I was pleased. When I try a diner for the first time I always order the eggs Benedict. The English muffins could have been a little more toasted but overall it was delicious and they give a generous portion of 3 eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly with the yolk still runny and the hollandaise was tasty. Home fries were also good. Will be back.

My coworker and I were very happy to find a place open so early for breakfast AND DELIVER! Good to know they use real eggs.
Their food was all right! Probably wouldn’t order another Belgian Waffle for $ 5…it’s just a waffle. Ordered a Steak Bomb Omelette and that was tasty.
The delivery dude was very friendly! Gotta give him credit, he went back to his car and got us a menu without us asking. He cared and I thought that was nice.

Very good breakfast! Waitress was wonderful and very attentive. 6 of us… we all loved our food. Greek omelet was one of the best I ever had! Home fries were delish too. And they offer italian scali toast. Husband got a blt club loved it!

You can’t walk into a diner at 10 am on Sunday and be immediately seated unless you go to Kayla’s. And for good cause: the service. I’ve been there twice and had the same waitress both times. Horrible.
I asked her to order cereal for my six year old and she said they didn’t have any. We went to the counter after and got him cereal. She took everybody’s order but mine and ran to the next table. I had to chase her down. It was crazy.
As I said to the kids on the way there, «Don’t expect much.» My words rang true. Afterward I reflected on the experience and could not think of a worse waitress ever. I have a feeling everybody is family there so there’s no firing sister-​in-​laws who are terrible.
BTW the quality of the food, when it came 40 minutes later, was very good.

Great breakfasts and very nice owners.
My motorcycle club has their meetings there and dinner.

My friends and I stopped by Kayla’s diner before leaving Salem. I must say that this was a very poor dining experience.
The service was terrible. While the food was passable (I ordered a plain omelette and fruit), the food quality/​quantity didn’t match the price value.
Recommendation:
–I would highly recommend dining elsewhere

I never Unilocal,but this needed to be said. We stopped in to try this place, big mistake. Sat down and waited over 30 minutes for egg whites, bacon and pancakes and they got the order wrong. Will never recommend or eat at this establishment again… Beware

This was literally one of the WORST dining experiences of my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We waited forever, the food was terrible, the service was terrible there was not one good thjng. I will never come back to this place again.

Didn’t even get to eat here. Waited for a table this morning, along with other people. A couple came in and sat at the bar. Of course, i wasn’t pleased with that. I went over to one of the servers, and told her we were here first. Her reply was that the bar was first come first serve. We left and went somewhere else. Learn how to run a business! Will never go here.

Absolutely BEST Eggs Benedict I have ever had ! Great service, very clean.

This was my leftover… we were greeted with a beautiful smile. The waitresses were very pleasant and friendly, food was great!!! Just filling up gas and we spotted this diner, no regrets!!!

First time, last time.

I was in there Sunday ⁵⁄₂₄. Our party basically took up half the restaurant on a Sunday and we were accommodated greatly. The service was a tad bit slow because they were breaking in a few new servers, but they apologized more then enough and gave us some free stuff (which I’ll get to)
I got I believe the «Hungry Man» it seems every breakfast place has something similar, a little bit of everything and pancakes.
When I get eggs with a meal I ask one thing «are these scrambled eggs beaters or are they real?» I don’t like beaters and most places use beaters for scrambled eggs and ALL places lie and say they are fresh. When I asked they told me they were real and guess what, THEY WERE!
Pancakes were super fluffy, just like they should be, sausages and bacon were great and everyone else in my party had NOTHING negative to say.
I didn’t pay the tab but I am sure it was a good price and even if it was a little more expensive it’s worth it. I love the retro them and I LOVR the pictures on the wall. The waitstaff couldn’t have been better. We talked to the owners and were extremely busy that day and they’re fantastic.
My sister got an apple juice with her meal and said it was the best she ever tasted, so on the way out I went to purchase one. They ended up giving us FREE to go cups full of apple juice and they even allowed us to try the orange juice (it’s a new way they do it and it is the best)
You will not be disappointed by this place, or by the service, or the food, or the atmosphere or the accommodations.
This will be my preferred spot.

Went for dinner last night and it was wonderful. Large portions and fresh fish are exactly what I wanted. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Décor is 50’s style diner, very cheerful and nice selection of menu items. This is my new favorite!

This place is awesome! More of what you’d expect from a Diner.
I was on my way home from work after a very busy day, I hadn’t had lunch yet, so my stomach was starting to talk to me in foreign languages, which I didn’t understand. So, I decided to pull over and get a bite to eat. I’m just happy I stopped at Kayla’s Diner. I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by the owner. This place was just opened not even one week and have to say, they did an amazing job on the décor. This place has that cute old school diner atmosphere with a wide selection of menu options. It was around 4:00 PM so I had their Baked Haddock, mashed potatoes and veggies, absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely be coming back here very soon. I’m looking forward to trying their breakfast specials.
For all you Diner Lovers, this place is a must try!
