Great food great service! Homemade potato salad was good! Veggie omelette was absolutely delicious!!! Waffle was good and I could smell it coming! the place doesn’t take credit card but «‘most small places don’t» as we were told but they have an ATM on site so it’s fine! Probably one of the best spots around!

Great food, country road diner atmosphere, OK pricing. Nice outdoor seating, but since it’s next to Route 22 it’s loud sitting out there. NO CREDIT CARDS! Although they do have an ATM… but get with the times, people. It’s 2016. Add a credit card machine. I still recommend this diner, and wish they were open later. Oh, and great home fries.

Had brunch Sunday and 5 hours later had food poisoning, no one else in our party of 4 had any system’s just me. Had weight watchers special, never had a problem with it in the past. Cottage Cheese tasted a bit off.

We’ve been driving by Karen’s for years, always curious, but she was closed. We finally got lucky and stopped by for breakfast one gorgeous summer morning. We were thrilled because of the outdoor seating as we were traveling with our precious lab.
WOW! What a delicious meal! We ordered the French Toast Grand Slam and the Pancake Grand Slam. The blueberry pancakes were scrumptious. The sausage was also excellent. The breakfasts were huge! We were stuffed for hours. Great value!
We were most impressed when the server brought out a bowl of water for our pup without being asked! We soon learned that Karen is a dog lover!
Excellent food! Great service! Dog lover! Customer for life!

We chose this restaurant for breakfast based on good reviews in several venues. Our first moment of joy came when we noticed the outside eating area, where a couple of diners were accompanied by two large Old English Sheepdogs. I knew immediately I was in a place I would like even if the food wasn’t up to par.
Happily, the food was excellent. I had pancakes that were fluffy but not dry, with eggs, bacon, and sausage. Not a miss on the plate, with the bacon crispy, and the sausage perfect.
My wife had basic eggs and bacon, and pronounced the home fries to be the best in the area. Our daughter enjoyed the corned beef hash omelet, and also rhapsodized about the potatoes.
Good service, bright and cheery space, decent coffee.
Only drawback is that Karen’s is cash only, but that’s a minor quibble for a great breakfast.
We’ll go back for lunch in a couple of weeks.

No complaints here! Nice homestyle cooking (the meatloaf sandwich was great!) and friendly, helpful waitstaff. Inch for two was plentiful and under $ 20.

This place was so busy that they forgot to have good customer service. I waited at least 10minutes for acknowledgement when I went in to ask for a table, then got a disgusted face when I asked to sit outside, then was told to wait a couple of minutes for a table that a man was sitting at and immediately after the same waitress served him another cup of coffee. Waited about 15 more minutes and then just left. Hire more servers and don’t make faces behind your customers backs, Karens.

Wonderful breakfast, nice staff and great selection. The food was TERRIFIC! That said, we feel its way over priced. My wife had a bowl with one banana cut up in it $ 4.50! Banana’s are 19 cents a pound! Bowl of oatmeal — $ 4.50. Up charge for scrambled egg whites? Also, need to use real table ware, no plastic please. Bottom line, everything was prepared nicely, however, $ 33.00 for a husband and wife for breakfast was way overpriced! If I was in NYC I would understand, however Patterson, NY? Should have been about $ 15.00 to $ 20.00 in my book! I do wish them well!

The owner Karen is a family friend of mine, and my mom worked as a short-​order cook and waitress there for a few years. The staff there are really great, and a lot of them my family has known for a long time also. Karen’s is such a great place for breakfast and lunch. It has such a positive atmosphere and has such great food. The home fries are my absolute favorite! The coffee is great and they are consistent with refilling your cup throughout your meal. Definitely take a trip to Karen’s it is beyond worth it! Love from the Schiavone’s! :)

The Spanish Omelette is my go-​to favorite. If you are looking for a very comfortable homemade breakfast place, there is no other that compares to Karen’s. This is a must for anyone getting their car serviced at Ingersoll or getting new tires next door. The waitstaff are so polite and friendly and you can sit there through the morning at the counter just taking a breath! You won’t get this relaxed experience at our local diners — try Karen’s and become a regular alone or with the family!

Got the blueberry pancakes on a suggestion from the waitress, LOTS of fresh blueberries made for a nice breakfast. Side of bacon was nice and crispy, staff was friendly. If I’m ever passing thru route 22 again I’ll make sure to stop in here.

friendly people. My garden omelet was one of the best i ever had — fluffy and full of taste. Ann’s rancheros with their home made tomato souse was great as well.
not much ambiance (simple) but food is very good. We stop by to try it by a recommendation of few our local friends who absolutely love this place.
