Excellent shawerma !!! Love this spot for great Palestinian food… but wait ITSCLOSED! another great spot gone. The owner needs to open in Bergen county — would definitely make a killing a little closer to the bridge!

Decided to go there today because I have been craving a falafel sandwich since i moved back to Clifton and I didn’t want to drive to Beyond Pita in Montclair to get one. There’s a sign in the window stating that it has the best falafel in the area. Couldn’t beat that right? Ordered the falafel and based on a previous entry, I decided to get the Alloush special shake. Sooo good, it was 5 bucks so it better have been. 5 stars alone for the shake. The falafel wasn’t what i expected. It was in a handy, long wrap, not sure of the bread type. There was hummas and onions, not used to having that in my falafel. Did i get the right order handed to me? ha. It was just ok to me. i don’t think i would go there to get another falafel. Would go back for that shake tho. This place is cash only.

At first glance you’d think Alloush was your typical falafel/shwarma joint in Paterson amidst all the others. But alas, it’s not. If all other Middle Eastern take-away joints were like McDonalds, Alloush would be the Sonic or Jack-In-The-Box of Middle Eastern«fast food». The falafel is amazing and their tahini sauce is PERFECT. When I’m back home in Queens, I make sure to take a lil drive across the GW so I can hit up Alloush.
