I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place! I’ve visited a handful of times and every time is better than the time before.
This place is adorable. It’s set up with a little bistro feel and you can order cheese & wine pairings, or just pick out some cheeses to taste and order a glass of wine or a beer to have with it. Usually cheese shops can be a little pricey but The Cheese Patch offers top notch products that results in a bill you’re not cringing over when you’re done.
The staff is very knowledgeable about the cheeses they’re selling, as well as the wines that they offer. They know exactly what cheese pairs best what wine and from experience, they are spot on.
There is currently a Groupon being offered for cheese & wine pairing, get it before it’s gone!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Cheese Patch while taking a walk in town today. We didn’t know what to expect but by the time we left we were delighted. Paige the owner suggested 5 unbelievably good cheeses for a take home platter as we sipped on an amazing triple ale. Such an adorable ambiance, great service, and delicious cheese. Can’t wait to come back!

This is one of my favorite places in Patchogue. Great cheese and good wine, what more could you want?!? The staff is the friendliest around and it’s a great place to meet locals! They will let you try everything to your hearts desire but be certain to get a cheese plate with some wine or if your feeling something a little more savory go for the fondue!

We love this place! The staff is wonderful and they have a great selection of cheese — from high quality standards to flavors you’ve never even heard of. We stop in for a sandwich or tasting from time to time and they always surprise us with a sample of something delicious. Highly recommended for all your cheese needs!!!

What a cute little place this is! If you’re a fan of cheese, this is a must-​try for you. Paige, as others have noted, is so knowledgeable and wonderful. I was very impressed with the cheese flight. The size is definitely big enough to share for a snack. Paige can help you choose what you’d like for your flights, by even giving you a taste or two of some cheeses to narrow it down. My favorites included the Maple Smoked Cheddar and the Wendsleydale with cranberries, but everything I tried was great! They also serve beer, hard cider and wine. Score! Also, the hours are later then what is posted on here… I believe most days they are open until 8 pm :)

I saw the Unilocal deal and figured what have I got to lose 5 bucks for 10 bucks of cheese
I am a ovo lacto vegetarian so cheese is a main staple
there are a few tables
big cases filled with cheese
a big chalk board with all the offerings
I see ready made picnic baskets what a lovely idea and some fancy fruit sodas I should I have bought
sweet gals working there were very friendly
as I was deciding which cheese to devour the gal said TRY this cheese
smoked maple and it was so good and creamy
I explained I was going to make a sandwich and she actually said buy less
I appreciate honest folk
leaving with two types of cheese I couldn’t wait to get home to eat it

Update– been back three times. Love spending money on a wonderful product (try coconut cheese) and a non pretentious crowd. I’ll be spending more Cheese money in Patchogue vs Sayville for now on based on previous reviews of neighborhood cheese shops. Go Cheese Patch!

The cheese patch is one of my favorite places to go in patchogue. Paige (the owner) and staff are knowledgeable, sweet and attentive. A wonderful selection of cheeses and other goodies. Wine and beer have recently been added. Go enjoy a cheese flight or a sandwich in their new location which is wonderfully designed. It is comfortable and cozy. My three little girls and wife also love this place. Lastly, we ordered a platter for my party and it was beautiful and delicious.

Great Place Paige and Jackie are the best knowledgeable on all the cheeses and even offer wine or beer to go with the cheese. They offer flights of 4 cheese for like $ 10 but allow you to sample cheeses till you find the 4 you want. Must try the devilish Pickles SO DAMN GOOD

Love the new location right on Main St. A great selection of cheeses at really great prices. They will let you try any cheese you’re interested before you buy so you know you’re going to love it, and so you can keep salivating just thinking about the cheese on your way home.
Can’t wait till they start serving craft beer and wine.

So, I happened to be in Patchogue yesterday on an errand, and I saw Wisteria Lane as I was driving back North. I had to stop — I worship little boutiques. But what do I worship more than little boutiques? CHEESE! So how psyched was I to see the Cheese Patch sign outside the store? Very psyched. Paige is amazing! Great selection of artisanal cheeses, so different, great varieties! I got a goat Gouda and delish wine crackers and tasted a goat cheddar and a truffle and porcini cheese, too. And the prices are super reasonable for high-​end, unique cheeses! I’ll be back! Can’t wait to see the new location on Main Street!

The Cheese Patch is wonderful. Paige is attentive, social and innovative. I go in a few times a month for the to-​go lunch or for «day off supplies» when I’m dining with friends. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of her product, and she wears her passion for it on her sleeve. Paige also creates great gift/​picnic baskets. She provided me one, which she dubbed the romance basket, for one of the most stressful moment of my life. I planned to ask my girlfriend to marry me, and I was going to use a picnic as an excuse. I already told her the picnic was happening, but work prevented me from getting cooking done that week. I approached Paige about making a basket, and she leaped at the chance. She crafted a basket to our personal tastes, budget and to the occasion. Her work allowed me to execute my plan and focus on what mattered. My fiancée. So yeah, I’d say that she earned her 5 stars.

Came here on a recommendation to get a picnic going for a winery day. Paige is super awesome at recommending cheeses, we loved everything we tried and she threw in some grapes/​plates/​napkins as we were very unprepared. :) Very friendly.
Our setup definitely made some patrons around us jealous, everything was delish.
Highly recommend. FYI It’s kinda hidden but there was a sign outside.
