Another great experience at Long Island Bike Shop. We’ve purchased a few smaller BMX-type bikes at this shop, and my oldest was now in need of a mountain bike. Staff took the time to listen to our needs and recommended a cost-efficient, quality bike that was on the floor and ready to go. A few minutes for it to be tuned up, some instruction from the staff as to the features and we were on our way. Clean, convenient and very competitive with their prices. This is my go-to local bike shop. I refuse to consider a «big box» store or equivalent where an 18 year old gets $ 7 per bike assembled and the quality of the materials is dramatically inferior.

It was time for a tune up so I visited this little bike shop. They have a decent size selection of bikes to choose from but I was only visiting to get a tune up. I was greeted by a nice women who was straightforward with pricing and suggestions. She explained my particular bike would cost anywhere from 350 and up to replace instead she suggested spending 135 on a tune up which would include a new back wheel(spokes rusted out) and new front brake system which broke as she touched it Lol. My specialized crossroads hybrid which is at least 15 years old maybe more was brought back to new after a tune up. Im pleased with the services I have received and will return for any more repairs. Prices seem average compared to nearby shops.
